"I watched Paint Dry"

The clock on the wall ticked steadily, but your mind began to wander while you both sat on the couch, the sound of his voice narrating the mundane process filling the air.

“I swear, next year, I’m going to pull off the biggest prank ever,” Smii7y chuckled, adjusting his headset, his eyes still glued to the screen. His excitement was palpable, and even though you found the concept amusing, three hours of watching paint dry had started to wear thin on your patience. 

“Is it too soon to talk about dinner?” you asked playfully, nudging him with your elbow. 

“Dinner? But the paint is just about to reach its peak gloss!” he replied dramatically, feigning betrayal. But you could see the corner of his mouth twitching with a smile—he loved how easy it was to playfully poke fun at each other.

As you got up to refill your glass of water, you thought about meals for the week. Meal prepping had been something you both talked about doing—after all, weeknight dinners could get chaotic with his streaming schedule and your own commitments.

“Okay, how about we make a deal?” you suggested, returning with a glass of ice-cold water. “If I help you with the video for the next prank, you promise to meal prep with me tomorrow.”

“Perfect! I can’t turn down an offer like that,” he replied, eyes sparkling with mischief. “But you have to promise to be just as creative with our meal options as I am with my jokes.”

“Deal!” you grinned, knowing exactly where this was heading. You would challenge one another to create funny meal names based on the absurdity he thrived on. “How about… ‘Steam-Powered Veggies’ for our stir fry?”

Smii7y burst into laughter, nodding enthusiastically. “And I’ll make sure my signature ‘Mystery Meat’ is on the menu, because what’s a prank without a little surprise, right?”

The banter transitioned seamlessly back to the video as the paint-stirring narration went on, but there was that subtle undertone of excitement brewing between you both over the meal prepping idea. 

Three hours into the video, with a few comments suggested hilariously, you decided you could best support him from afar. You snuck your phone out and started messaging your favorite food blogs, searching for witty meal inspiration to bring to life in your own prep session. 

After a while, you turned to him again. “Okay, I’ll leave you to your paint-drying magic for a while. I have some meal ideas to brainstorm, and I’ll check in on your progress later on.”

“Fine, but don’t blame me when you miss the most exciting part!” he teased, waving his arms as you walked towards the kitchen.

As you flipped through ideas, envisioning a week filled with laughter—and pranks over dinner—you couldn’t help but giggle to yourself. Smii7y always found ways to make the mundane hilarious, and together, you’d craft a series of meals worthy of a viral video in their own right.

Later that evening, as you wrapped up your brainstorming, you made your way back to him, ready for whatever absurd ideas he had pulled from his six hours of paint drying. 

Together, the two of you began strategizing your prank-filled meal plan, transforming the evening into laughter, creativity, and, who knows, perhaps an April Fools’ Meal Prep Challenge to share with his audience!
