It’s not called the BCU (Batman centered universe)
You see, pre-Bruce Timm and DCAU, (no hate on him but he’s really massacred so many characters) so many characters had the potential to be household names. Heroes such as Blue beetle, booster gold, the multitude of lanterns of all emotional spectrums, fire, ice, aquaman, etc.
but then brucie Timm made brucie Wayne the batgod we all know he is NOW, having all the ladies give their attention to the alpha male, including our alpha female Princess Diana of Themyscira. and Superman, who was the leader of the Justice League, was reduced to a pair of fists. All brawn, no brain (except in his own comics. Supes has a scientific mind and so does WW, but that all goes away when near Batman.)
ever since Batman’s rise, all other heroes’ IQ were reduced to negative integers whenever in a 10 mile radius of Batman. I mean, Batman claims he works alone, yet here he is bossing everyone around.
Diana hates being controlled and told what to do, but here she is bowing down to Batman. Even Catwoman stands up to Batman, but not WW? I thought she was a feminist icon? Female empowerment and gender equality? Gone when Batman is around?
even Bruce Timm admitted he didnt know what to do with our girl Diana and decided the strong, tough, independent woman should be out of character and drool whenever Brucie was around. I mean, Batman had to save Wonder Woman from her own villain. Come on, now.
again, I love Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, but it’s time to slow down with the Batman being batgod.
Ayo, i don’t mean to force anything on anyone, but we have various types of evidence for biblical events, if anyone is interested. (I’m talking archaeological evidence, miracles caught live, arguments against evolution, divine revelation, science, cosmology, fulfilled prophecy, evidence for the Bible outside of the Bible, God’s work in people’s lives, etc.)
this is coming from someone who enjoys Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, (Clois) Superman and Lois while also being a SuperWonder shipper at heart
I find it a bit hypocritical that people are going crazy over Lois Lane getting superpowers when they’re also the ones who say (cheating) Lois “grounds” Clark and their relationship is special by having no powers.
They’re going berserk over Superman and Wonder Woman getting together yet once (cheating) Lois Lane gains powers. It’s literally just Superman and Wonder Woman’s dynamic all over again.
People always say that if Superman and Wonder Woman get together, their values are gonna change and they’re just gonna be unstoppable tyrants on earth because of their powers.
if you can’t see Supes and Wondy past their powers and they’re matching costumes you’re just like Lex Luthor and Steve Trevor. I mean DC themselves said that they are more than just their powers. They want to work together to save the Earth long way—-they both have something to fight for….together. (see the ultimate guide to Wonder Woman)
“They aren’t people at all. They are power. Unpredictable, horrendous power, and nothing more.” -Lex Luthor, Superman/Wonder Woman #5
“I realize that the two of you were meant for each other. Matching costumes. Matching cost powers. Felt like fate. And as weird as it might sound, I found that comforting. You made each other happy.” -Steve Trevor, Superman #48
Don’t be blinded by nostalgia. Clark was raised by HUMAN parents, loved by HUMANS and aliens, and loved HUMANS and aliens alike. To say that he needs a HUMAN in order to understand humans is a bit disrespectful to everyone else who poured into Clark’s life (including DC’s precious batgod).
Isn’t the human thing to do is to love and be loved? To serve God and serve others Regardless of color, origin, and background?
Would that not apply to both Supes and Wondy too? They were loved by their parents, loved the people around them, were hurt and bullied, learned to find their place in the world, and were taught by their parents to love the people they shared this messed up rock with and to help others. And this was BEFORE they met Lois and Steve.
Also, modern steve and Lois is literally everything what Diana and Clark were back in the OG comics. Diana wants Kal, Clark, and Superman, and Clark wants Wonder Woman and Diana.
In the older comics, Clark and Diana were the butt the joke in their own comics (nothing changed now)—-their love interests only wanted their superhero identities. Then DC gave their dynamics to Lois and Steve for whatever reason.
to sum it up, they literally made Lois into Wonder Woman. Congratulations.
why not put Lois and Steve together? Lois Lane, whose dad was a General, be paired up with Steve Trevor, who works for the US military and ARGUS? or Lois and Lex? They both have matching initials and both are ambitious and shove everyone down who get in front of what they want. They both are power hungry try to be top dog.
Also, (this is coming from a formerly bi person, not important in this context): i don’t mean to force anything on anyone, but we have various types of evidence for biblical events, if anyone is interested. I also found ways to combat lust, if anyone is interested. (I’m talking archaeological evidence, miracles caught live, arguments against evolution, divine revelation, science, cosmology, fulfilled prophecy, evidence for the Bible outside of the Bible, God’s work in people’s lives, etc.)
this is coming from a Wonder Woman fan, a Superman fan, a Batman fan, a SuperWonder fan and a Clois fan.
you only want the best for Diana, and so do we. And the best is Superman. Not Batman, not Steve trevor, or anyone else. just Superman. Clark for Diana and Bruce for Selena. And how about we have Lois and Steve be put together? Lois’ dad is a general. Steve does some army work and ARGUS/government stuff.
we don’t want to Clark to overshadow Diana. But If you pair her up with Batman, then you know how it will be—-DC will just make Diana the property of Batman because Batman is more popular than Wondy, so people only recognize her as “Batman‘s girlfriend” and nothing more. Superman and Wonder Woman used to call out Batman for his bat$hit but nowadays they just tolerate everything he says because he’s Batman.
DC already massacred Superman’s character. He used to be the leader of the Justice league in the 80s right before he died, but then after Bruce Timm showed up, the DCU became the BCU (Batman Centered Universe)
post Bruce Timm and Frank Miller (no hate on them but stop pandering) Superman became all brawn and not brain, all other heroes’ IQ’s are reduced whenever they’re in a 10 foot radius of Batman, and all the ladies gave their attention to Batman—Including our girl Diana, who is completely out of character in the DCAU Justice League cartoons. she is NOT desperate for any man’s attention in the comics.
tell me, ladies and gentlemen, would you want Diana—-a self respecting Amazon—-to be with Batman?
Batman—-the guy who talks down to his teammates and always acts like he’s better than everyone, is ready to take you and your friends down in a heartbeat but is unwilling to end those who have no interest in repenting (jonkler), doesn’t trust you, and treats everyone like his pawn?
Yeah… exactly… don’t be blinded by the cool gadgets and the dark mysterious aura and the fact that he gets girls (they only want him for his looks and money. They don’t actually love him. Matthew 5:28.)
people always make this lame excuse that DC puts them together because of their similar powers, costumes, and popularity.
If you can’t see Supes and Wondy past their powers, then you’re just like Lex Luthor and Steve Trevor. They only saw them for their powers and costumes as many others do.
Fans also say that Wonder Woman and Superman need a human love interest (Batman or Steve) to “ground them.”
Lois GROUNDS Superman? Steve GROUNDS Wonder Woman?
Isn’t the human thing to “love and be loved? To serve God and serve others?” Regardless of color, origin, and background?
Would that not apply to both Supes and Wondy too? They were loved by their parents, loved the people around them, were hurt and bullied, learned to find their place in the world, and were taught by their parents to love the people they shared this messed up rock with and to help others. And this was BEFORE Lois and Steve.
Supes and Wondy are each other’s equals—-emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually. They know what it’s like to live in a world made of cardboard.
But they also share the same goals and optimism—to better the world and end crime and all that through love and compassion. Not Arkham-style beatdowns.
Even the creators for Superman (Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster) and Wonder Woman (William Marston) said that they’re perfect for each other. Supes’ creators even said that Lois was never supposed to end up with Superman.
Besides, Lois literally flirted with other men (yes, Batman included. See Batman: Hush) and made Clark jealous…in front of Superman. She even cheated on Superman with Jeb Friedman WHILE SHE WAS ENGAGED. Is that what you want for our boy in blue?
how about we have Lois and Steve be put together? Lois’ dad is a general. Steve does some army work and ARGUS/government stuff.
I hope you can see things from our perspective. We love Superman, Wonder Woman, and Superman and Wonder Woman.
thanks for reading. God bless and happy SuperWonder shipping!
