I have the theory/headcannon that depressed wife (HEA) tried to k*** herself before TLQ arrived but smitten didn't let her
Also, to everyone who thinks oppy is smart
he's not
Like, I think the biggest display of intelegence we get from him is winning a game against depressed wife princess so yeah...
Paraniod and skeptick are way smarter or atleast seem to be more aware of their surroundings.
