Your gateway to endless inspiration
Every day my head is full of the bombing from these holocausts. People's lives in Palestine, Sudan, Congo and around the world are just as important as white celebrities'. Everything has been made clear.
This is my blog for my crochet business, Mycelia Crochet. So I'll talk for a minute about what I'm doing for genocide relief and how you can participate.
I'm a white genderqueer disabled leftist living in the U.S. I haven't sold anything yet. The proceeds from my first two projects to sell will go to my Palestinian friend Fatima's fund, which has been verified by the Sidra Project:

The proceeds from the third will go to my chosen family sibling, who is Black, GNC, and -- like their spouse -- disabled and unhoused at a time when regional police are cracking down on anyone sleeping outside.
Right now, they need $75 to get to a house. This is a huge "a stitch in time saves nine" moment for them because if we can just get them to the house their lives may become far less dangerous.

After that, my store will continue to give to mutual aid as much as possible.
I have only one product ready to take home today, a clutch purse made out of super soft pastel baby blanket yarn. It is $29.99 plus shipping.
One edge of it looks a little misshapen in this video but I hadn't smoothed it out yet.
I am working on a large baby blanket for adults:
I will be able to resume working on it once I get some more Bernat Babysoft yarn (pitter patter color scheme).
Finally, I am working on a similar blanket that has been commissioned with this jumbo size yarn:
If you are interested in buying the clutch, the pastel blanket, or commissioning something else, please reach out.
If anyone has any yarn you'd like to donate and could cover shipping, please let me know.
In addition to these fundraisers, I am selling for my own living expenses. My roommate and I need to get out of the dangerous household we are living in. And I have a close friend I'm trying to use this store to help as well.
We cannot lose heart and we cannot be apathetic. I will keep going for baby Ahmed, Fatima's youngest.

P.S.: 9-year-old Palestinian journalist Lama Jamous has called for a global strike today, Oct. 1. Please, as far as you are able, refrain from work, school, and purchasing today. Here is her Instagram video. We cannot fail this child.

Please note that a different global strike has been called for the 7th.
