⊗ Intro to my X-Man / Mutant Reality ⊗

⊗ this reality is different from the movies & comics; i also messed with the ages of ppl based on who i'd like to be a student with & who i'd like to be a teacher ⊗

The era of this reality is the 70s/80s; the vibes are peak X-Men Apocalypse / Marauders Era / Stranger Things energy. I'm shifting to be a teenager here; this is very much going to be an inner-teenager healing reality.

─ ·⊱✿⊰· ─ My mutant powers are the same as my Avengers reality powers; super-human physiology, flight, and energetic construction creation & control ─ ·⊱✿⊰· ─

The energetic construction powers are inspired by Thena from Eternals, so pretty much like hers except I can create anything at all, not just weaponry, out of this golden-hued energy.

─ ·⊱✿⊰· ─ Xavier's School has a very relaxed curriculum, focused on students' interests and skills and talents, as well as plenty of training for our powers. If you really want to drop a class you're allowed (because I refuse to be in a maths class everrr again lol). Sometimes it feels more like summer camp than school, with days built around fun teamwork building exercises ─ ·⊱✿⊰· ─

I'm shifting to a couple of days before school starts but here's a post that gives a good idea about what daily life's gonna be like once school does begin!

─ ·⊱✿⊰· ─ Students and teachers also include people from other realities – e.g. Beast Boy & Raven from Teen Titans purely bc they seem cool and their powers could well be mutant powers, and teachers from Fantasy High that I think would be fun to have as mentors ─ ·⊱✿⊰· ─

I was raised by my mother and grandmother (moth mutants) on a small off-grid farm in rural Canada, far from any non-mutants.

─ ·⊱✿⊰· ─ My mother is great friends with the X-Men – she met Charles in university – though isn't an X-Man herself; her powers are telepathic communication/empathy specifically for non-humans (animals and bugs) and plant life. My grandma's powers are localised control of clouds and atmospheric thermokinesis (basically minor weather control) ─ ·⊱✿⊰· ─

I had a wonderful childhood; the X-Men were great family friends, especially Logan and Charles, who I refer to as Uncle Logan and Uncle Charles.

Once we're all older and graduated, me and friends who are willing and capable will join the X-Men. It's at this point Magneto will get out of prison and more eventful stuff will start happening.

─ ·⊱✿⊰· ─ I'll be enemies with my s/o at this point cus he'll join the Brotherhood of Mutants, not anticipating how violent it would become. He'll eventually leave the Brotherhood once they take things too far and join the X-Men, and we'll start dating ─ ·⊱✿⊰· ─

His mutant genes were recessive until his late teens/early adulthood, but exposure to chaos/eldritch magic will make those genes dominant. His vibe is very wizard-y with powers similar to Wanda/Agatha and Doctor Strange.
