now that i am reading the thrawn: ascendancy books and seeing how fucking similar thrawn and eli are in some aspects - like scenes that are nearly mirrored down to the word - i love the thought of eli thinking he and thrawn have nothing in common, or that he could never be like him, bc he always just sees himself running after thrawn, just to come to the ascendancy and have everyone he meets be like “oh my fucking god there are two of you fuckers”
