i wish being Teru irl would make my little brother Kou irl BUT NO! he's literally this kid.
Idea that I’m probably not gonna write but a human toy story (I recently watched it and this has been rotting away in my brain).

Setup
Woody and Jessie are siblings raising Woody’s adopted kids, Andy and Molly(the only kids in town). They run a ranch called the “Roundup Ranch.” Woody’s prone to stress but is the unofficial leader of their small community with Jessie and Bo as his second. Slinky is often there to give him advice though, as the town’s only bartender. Jessie is even worse than her brother when it comes to anxiety but Bo helps her keep a level head. She likes Buzz and hopes to be his friend but his boisterous attitude in the beginning is a bit off putting.
Andy and Molly are orphans. Their mother died in a car accident years ago leaving them to the care of her childhood friend, Woody. They’ve been living with them ever since Molly was an infant and Andy was six. As the only children, they’re doted on by everyone in town and are a bit spoiled, but no one really minds. Andy insists on giving everyone nicknames and Molly follows along with a laugh.
Rex Plastic is the local gentle giant. He’s a little slow but he knows his strength and is so gentle with the children. He works on the ranch as a farmhand for a bed and meal.
Brady “Buzz” Lightyear is an astronaut who crash landed in their wild west esque town. Woody doesn’t trust him but his kids and sister like him so that’s something. He’s currently stranded there and thinks everyone is insane because even though it’s the modern age they still like to live in the wild west. He’s working to get back to his space program but is slowly getting attached to the small town.
Henry Spud runs the local bank with his business partner and friend John Hahnm. He’s called “Mr. Potato” by the kids, something that everyone starts doing. He’s missing one eye that he constantly replaces with a set of wild and fun false eyes to entertain the kids, before he only wore an eyepatch. Even though his soft on the children, to everyone else he's ornery and short tempered.
John Hahnm runs the local bank with Mr. Potato head. He’s a sarcastic old man but his wisecrack remarks are fun to be around. (Mr. Ham! No kids, it's Hahnm, say it with me, Hahnm. Ham!)
Bonnie Peep, called “Ms. Bo Peep,” tends to the local sheep and cattle(the irony is not lost on her). She’s dating Jessie and is one of Woody’s closest friends and confidants.
Jim “Slinky” Dog, his nickname surprisingly didn’t come from the kids, but Mr. Potato and Hahnm instead(Never play cards with that tricky bastard). He tends to the only bar in town as the only worker and owner. No one’s really sure where he came from, he just showed up one day with a fully stocked bar and an open ear. Even though he has a mysterious demeanor, Woody trusts him and that's enough for everyone else.
Sarg. He’s just as mysterious as Slinky but for much sadder reasons. Everyone can tell he’s a vet but his demeanor towards that part of his life is so negative and usually results in either violence or sobbing that everyone has steered away from it. Everyone except for Woody, he was the only one Sarg confided in when he first moved and that’s remained the same. When asked, Woody simply insists they leave him alone. For some reason though, he likes being called Sarg, it brings pride to him.
Voy a ponerlos aquí también porque quiero y puedo JAJAJAJA (solo ignórenlos)

TS4's ending, though rather disliked even by me, makes complete sense.
TS1 was about Woody teaching Buzz he is a toy. He is Andy's toy and Andy needs him, not Woody, but Buzz instead.
TS2 was about giving other toys the aame opportunities he has, to be there for a child. To be played with and have fun!
TS3 was Woody learning to let go. Because even if he can't see or be with Andy, he will always be Andy's toy. It's just Andy doesn't need him and Bonnie does.
TS4 at the beginning comes off as a combo. Teaching Forky to be a toy and helping Gabby Gabby have a chance. But Woody also needs to let go of not just Bonnie but also the gang, his family. Because Bonnie doesn't need him anymore and well what's a toy that isn't played with? So Woody stays, he says goodbye and stays because he's finally being selfish and it hurts but he's finally making a choice for himself. Dolly will watch over the gang, and Buzz will help. And maybe, even if just once a year, he'll get to see them again.
So yeah, it was horribly sad to see Woody stay but it was the right thing for him. Because he is Andy and Bonnie's toy, but he's a toy as well and maybe other kids need him.
I DONT KNOW HOW I DO THIS AHHHHHH
What if Tadc were a toyhouse for kids?
Yikes
posting TUA on main bc idc
imo the footloose dance scene is the best thing to ever grace the television screen. ever. like... in the history of anything unless ronance becomes canon.
meanwhile we have spanish buzz (toy story), which is the best thing to ever grace cinema. Idc about anything else, because spanish buzz was the best part of toy story 3.
Looking through the contrasting rejected/accepted handshake scenes in Toy Story 3 made me realize there were more parallels than just Buzz offering his hand to Woody. Observe how in the earlier scene in the movie, Woody walks away (while everyone else is still), stops when he doesn't hear Buzz following, and turns his head to look in his direction.
Then later, during the incinerator scene, Woody does nearly the same thing: he crawls (while everyone else is still), stops when he notices Buzz/everyone aren't moving, and turns his head to look in Buzz's direction, both times in confusion/surprise.
In the Sunnyside scene, Buzz is the only one to move and does so to offer his hand. In the incinerator scene, Buzz is the only one to move to offer his hand. But also pay attention to which toys are behind him in each scene.
(Granted, Bullseye is farther back in the first scene, but he's still in the shot and beside Jessie even if only in the background. Also note that Buzz looks solemn both times he offers his hand.)
Maybe this is just me looking too closely at it lol But even if unintended, it's cool how all the little details lined up.
Oh my what a beautiful surprise! You’re so welcome and I’m very happy you liked my mini illustration! More reasons I wholeheartedly recommend reading this heartfelt fic to many other people who haven’t 😊
Thank you so much for your writing!
Fan illustration based on a fanfic that told the backstory of Andy’s dad getting Woody and his life onward through the toy’s pov. It’s called “A Dark Evening in the Fall” by Peach Wookiee on fanfic.net Definitely one of the best but also saddest fics I’ve ever read. (That it even made me cry in the process 😭) Totally recommend those who would want to read it. Genuinely a beautiful and emotional read. (don’t worry there’s comfort)
"Being back on the skies with you."
I miss them endearingly.
Sadly it didn't come off exactly how I envisioned it through the background, (perspective is hard lmao) so I just let it be for a next time :)
However, loved the pose I've done for both of them 😊 I'm proud of it.
Anyway, TS5 will be a thing and I have my doubts but oh well, we'll just see how it will go when it comes out lmao
Scrapped ideas of TS4 with Buzz being with Woody in a new adventure in the artbook.
It really flips me out because the final product was romantic focused with Bo, which I personally have issues with it. BUT MY GOD.
Starting June smoothly with this ship trend 😎👌
Roleswap aus aren’t uncommon and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.
But I’ve had this idea in the perspective with Woody and Jessie in this AU where Jessie is the protagonist of the Round-up gang.
Their own personalities will stay the same, the only thing it will change are their circumstances they would face in different events and the different timeline.
(Warning from here because it gets angsty and also trying not to make it too depressing but don’t fret, because like in canon, things get hopeful!)
In this Woody’s story, he got a kid and enjoyed spending time with him. He witnessed how his kid grew into an adult but he even how he got a terminal illness, witnessing his death. (You can interpret whether this kid could be Andy or Andy’s unknown dad like in that theory)
His owner could have died in his 50s, making the timeline the same as in canon probably?
So once that happened, maybe his own kids or relatives, thought of giving away Woody out of respect of his passing that he’d be better off with another kid as maybe they weren’t interested in him.
That leaves Woody so heartbroken by what he’s seen and he grieves in silence inside the box, he wishes there were more time to be with him, though even when he grew he was cast aside, he stood still until he could come and see him again, which he did until his dying days, he’s in the denial phase.
But as time went on he accepts his new fate.
What he didn’t expect is that in the end he ended up being a collectible and for him? felt like a relief. Since because of his trauma, he’d prefer going in Japan and not get through another suffering event by having a new kid.
He meets bullseye and he gets a bit happier by the comfort of having another friend. Like a dog- human relationship. Then a bit later he meets the prospector, acts like a father figure to him and gives him the comfort he needs when they're out of the box. They talk about in one thought of how when they get Jessie, the collection of the roundup gang would finally be complete and Woody would feel happy by the idea of being in the museum.
And this is where this AU comes to play because like in canon, Jessie is the protagonist of the TV series, making her immensely popular, like the Barbies! Who would have thought?
By that thought that would surely distract his past and just be appreciated by the people to see him and the others.
And the canon-like present timeline story would be starting. They meet Jessie and over next scenes, she would help Woody as well.
Like in canon, he would get through it and accept that even though this person he cherished is gone, doesn't mean that he wouldn't be sad forever. His love for his last owner won't compare the new one he'll have now, but is another type of love, by loving another person and feel happy. After all, Andy (the owner) would have felt so content that another child would have Woody with him and be his friend. I'm sure, he would have let Woody be happy with another person on his hands. This Jessie would help him, and tell him that this new kid she has would gladly like to play with him. And things get hopeful for our cowboy doll in the end :)
.
.
.
(And maybe he would bond with Buzz and become a couple later-BUT WHO KNOWS)
So yeah! My thoughts on it so far! Any feedback and thoughts are welcome :)
Um…. So are you guys still interested in this au where Jessie is the main protagonist of the round up gang?
Been coming up with both their stories, specially about this Woody in particular.
I can’t believe Pixar forgot about their own trilogy.
We was robbed of a connection like this, I'm tellin ya
The trash/dump connection was right in front of us with Forky like cmon..I'm surprised they didn't make more of a reference to what happened in TS3
(Click for better quality lol)
So nobody’s talking about that little moment?
Compilation of Woody being in full denial afterwards.
Everyone go hug the best cowboy, thank you.
Got immensely inspired by that prompt phrase I saw on pinterest and all I could think of was them.
I hugely demand a Jessie Mirrorverse design PLEASE.
Omg I'm in love I'm in love I'm in love I'm in love I'm in lov-
space & cowboys!!!
I've collected my thoughts and ideas that could have made Toy Story 4 a decent (yet then again an unnecessary sequel) in my take since sometimes this movie gives me headaches and wishful thinking that my true characters were there.
If some of you liked how this movie went, I respect your opinion. I, in my case, didn’t so this is for those who didn’t like it or just indifferent by it.
First of all, the starting point is Bonnie. If they followed up her love about Woody, then it would have easily respected everyone’s characters as they should be and the plot would have been better.
At this point everyone has commented how it went off character with her too so I won’t elaborate it here.
So, if Bonnie cared so much about Woody in ts4, it might have been a parallel to Andy missing him and Buzz when he was like 7(?)
Bonnie would be stressed and sad that she doesn’t know where Woody or Forky is. As shown in the montage she seemed happy playing Woody with Forky, being this new duo sort of pals.
And probably TS first all over again. But the thing is! That Woody's learned SO MUCH from the first movie and all that jazz.
He would have totally taught Forky About how being a toy is. Not in the funsies way in which the first TS did, they were obviously fun humor when it needed to. But with the falling point of Buzz' arc, it was a big deal and Woody helped him about his purpose.
Including Buzz and Jessie being now more experienced in this thing. Probably they could have become a stronger couple in assessing the toys and would have been cute af.
Forky wouldn’t be throwing himself away every damn time, in my take he would be confused in everything. He doesn't know why he's here. He doesn't even know why he has the form of a spork.
In my rewriting, he's literally a first-born, like Pinocchio.
Now ppl might be wondering, what would actually happen if Forky would have thrown himself away from the window? And the sidewalk thing happens?
Well. I have an idea. Instead of Bonnie cuddling Forky in her sleep. It’s Woody. Her parents would have told her that sleeping with her fork would be dangerous as it can hurt her when she doesn't know it.
Or it can be Jessie! since Bonnie is showing her sweet love to the cowgirl as well without making Woody being “neglected” She gets more appreciated in a good way, without shadowing Woody.
But I believe Woody has to be the focal point of this otherwise we wouldn’t get the talk on the sidewalk lmao.
If it’s the former, Woody has to make a quick decision whether stay in place with Bonnie or just going to bring Forky back.
Since we know our favorite doll and his great loyalty, he just tells Buzz they’ll be back soon, not knowing that he might see Bo again, delaying his mission and all that.
Probably Forky would still don't know about the dangers and he gets curious of going to the window. Again, his conscience is not developing yet. Bc he genuinely doesn't know anything yet.
Maybe and probably, once he gets sucked in, for the first time he's got a sense of fear and danger. Probably adding more personality than before.
For the first time ever, he developed the feeling of fear.
So, probably Woody would have told him in his experience, how when he was with Buzz, he saw the mutilated toys from Sid. And how they weren't able to speak or talk. Bc the actual body proportions were out of place, must have caused abnormalities in them.
That could make Forky more aware of his physical proportions. He also listens to his adventures of how Woody got his arm accidentally pulled off and how it even harmed him by the prospector when he threatened him.
Forky gets very fascinated by his storytellings and learn that strangers having to take things from you by force is morally wrong because of what Woody told him.
Heck, he even would have told him about Lotso! And how they were in the trash. Making Forky very scared, and just terrified of being there being useless.
So that situation happens when he sees that Gabby wants his voice box but remembers Woody's saying.
Might have changed the plot for the better.
So yeah, here are my thoughts so far! Would have loved to see my favorite trio work together in saving the spork and more suspense in facing the villain. Woody and Bo would have better off stayed being friends instead of a couple in the end because sometimes things don’t work anymore and could have been a good message for the audiences about relationships.
What do you guys think?
when I tell you I love this.
me when in… the toy… store?
I’ve never gotten into this conversation before, but since Toy Story 5 was just announced, I’ve been thinking about how bad Toy Story 4 was and feel like ranting. They ruined Woody’s character for the sake of making him run off with Bo Peep.
Some people justify Woody abandoning Bonnie AND his toy family because he was no longer Bonnie’s absolute favorite toy and she didn’t play with him anymore, so that somehow means he no longer has a purpose being with her. And they say he had a connection with Andy but not Bonnie, so it’s okay to leave her. What? The movie literally started out on the wrong foot with the beginning flashback of Woody trying to leave with Bo Peep until Andy comes out looking for him. Woody would never abandon Andy to go off with Bo Peep, so to imply he’d even ATTEMPT that is bullshit. It was literally never like that in the first three movies. It’s not in his character to abandon all the other toys, especially Buzz, who Woody said would be there to keep him company to infinity and beyond.
People also exaggerate Bonnie “ignoring” Woody. From what we know, it was only super recently that she hadn’t played with him (3 times in a week, not “It’s been several weeks since she’s last played with me” or even a month since she last played with him). We also see Bonnie playing with Forky AND Woody during the roadtrip, proving that she didn’t ignore Woody. What matters at the end of the day is that she still plays with him. Just b/c she was recently obsessed with Forky and didn’t played with Woody for 3 days doesn’t mean Woody had served his purpose and should abandon everybody. It also doesn’t mean Bonnie doesn’t care about Woody anymore. And the time between TS3 and TS4 was only like a year. Why is Woody so ready to give up? Andy told Bonnie that Woody will never give up on you and will always be there for you. He entrusted her with his all-time favorite toy, yet Woody wants to go off on his own just like that despite Andy’s final choice. He was literally fine with being in the attic if Andy had wanted that, so…
It’s not like Andy himself hadn’t gone through a Buzz Lightyear phase and put Woody more on the back burner for a bit. And Woody had a nightmare about Andy not wanting to play with him anymore. We had 3 movies of lessons and character growth, yet Toy Story 4 regresses all that development as an excuse for him to run off with Bo, which nobody asked for. Remember, the writers thought it was logical for Woody to abandon even ANDY for Bo until he was interrupted. So I’m really curious about Toy Story 5 and if these mistakes can be undone.
Made a simple edit of Woody stare for a longer and dramatic time, processing at everything that has witnessed in the daycare. Slowly making a decision in the end. Felt like it could have been more impactful and emotional.
Very much in love with expressions in animation so I wanted it to be its main focus.
Does it change something with the original?
Let me know what you think :)
Showing more sketches I’ve done a while back. Didn’t have the time to post it here as I’ve been busy with college :)
Just a couple of Woody drawings, Bo Peep (or Betty for the latinos like me hehe) and what could have been if Woody also joined the hug with Jessie soon as Buzz came back to his normal self in TS3. (would have been cuter because of their friendship but whatevs haha)
Hope you enjoyed them and or made your day 😊
