The story of this picture is that we never see Trex again. A virus planted in him made him attack, it wasn’t his fault. But, I doubt the mayor would see it that way. Before firing Doc Greene, or right after, the mayor ordered Doc to destroy Trex. He couldn’t. In most cases, he could have one of his machines sent off and cut into pieces without a second thought, but Trex had a personality. Fankie, his daughter, loved him, too. So he shut Trex down.
