anyone else think Bullfrog should be a pov character in arc 4? idk I feel like it’d be a waste to introduce him and have him in the pantala strike team if he doesn’t do anything afterwards, particularly since he didn’t do much except show Qibli misses Winter and exposition to Luna and Cricket about the scorching

I honestly don't hc any character with this disorder. The only one I think gets close to it is one with severe self-esteem issues and trauma. But I'm not hc them with the disorder until I've done more extensive research lmao.

I like to think Dune just didn't care enough to tell anyone about it.

It's so weird that Talons of Peace and Morrowseer didn't notice that Sunny was a hybrid. She literally looks like a golden nightwing with a sail. Okay, maybe most dragons have never seen a nightwings, but Dune spent most of his life around sandwings, and he would have definitely figured out that Sunny was a hybrid, since her build and face are nothing like a sandwing. I think Dune knew Sunny was a hybrid back then, and he probably even knew about Stonemover but kept quiet about it.

Ok, I think MOST important goes to Sunny. But Moon's about 2nd place I think.

I think it's about time I say this. Moon is the most important character in wings of fire. Not best or favorite, (though she is my favorite) those are two different things. What I mean is you can't substitute her in the plot. You can't swap her out with another character and get the same story. Moon's kindness is the one who sparks change in everyone, Turtle in his journey to be willing to help, Qibli in his journey of becoming secure about himself mentally, and Winter basically not being Racist to Nightwings. I could go on but you get the picture.

Let us not forget the amount of charcaters who are far as we know straight due to their backfires.

Aka most the queens. Most have had children and had a mate at some point. Coral and Scarlet had husband's. Thorn is shipped with Smolder when she isnt shipped with Stonemover. Smolder canonically had a girl friend before had but Oasis made them break up. Oasis didn't pop 3 daughters and 2 sons out of nowhere.

Not to mention how much romance, mostly straight is prevalent within specific characters stories. Perils crush on Clay, starflights crush on Sunny, tusnami and Glorys sepreate cool bois they dont offically get with, Moons love triangle. Turtles crush on Kinkajou.

Then looking at the winglets we get more of Arctic and Foeslayers romance. Legends of Darkstalkers main premise is love(in some ways)! All the main pov charcaters are in straight relationships! Clearsight gets with a *male* beetlewing! Fathom is so head over heals in love with Indigo his sister tries to keep them separated to keep him from using magic.

Also I'm pretty sure of the couple of queer ships mentions I thought only 3 of those were offical Canon. If that dosent show how the lgbt+ characters and relationships aren't being "forced" idk what does.

Most of the lgbtq relationships in wof seem forced, or squished into the plot as a last resort to have some diversity in there.

And there aren't as many straight relationships as people think.

This is expanding the comment I made for this post.

I'm pretty sure I can list out every single implied straight characters and relationships in the series, and they far outway the only 2-3 Canon queer couples. Not to mention single charcaters!

All Characters I say are implied to be straight isn't to say they fully are but cause nothings been confirmed. And if it has I didn't know

1: Clay is single

2: Tsunami is implied to have a thing for Riptide who is also a seawing!

3. Glory and Murderbaskets will they won't they situation

4. Starlight and Fatespeaker are implied to get together(another same tribe relationship)

5. Thorn and Stonemover

6. Smolder is implied to he straight and was inlove with a sandwing!

7. Scarlet had a husband so is also implied to be straight. She's also single

8. Moonwatcher and Quibli

9. Moonwathers parents

10. Kinkajou has no implied interest in anyone

11. Turtle has a thing for Kinkajou if I remember

12. Turtle and Kinkajou are single

13. Clearsight and Darkstalker(same tribe mostly)

14. Clearsight and Sunstreak

15. Whiteout and Thoughtful(Same tribe mostly whiteout is a hybrid but dominant nightwing traits)

16. Indigo and Fathom

17. Fathoms sister Pearl is single for a while since we never meet her king husband.

18. Peril is implied to be straight and eventually gets over her crush on clay so she stays single

19. Winter like women

20. Foeslayer and Arctic

21: Umber is single

22: Queen Ruby is single tho it's implied she maybe had a hubby cause she has a son

And I'm sure there more but that's a long ass list. I don't know if Jambu and Pineapple are offical but I'll count them.

Same sex couples

- Sundew and Willow

So of the couples, 3 are same sex and 2 is same tribe.

There's 9 same tribe straight couples. (Note 2 have Darkstalker and Whiteout)

And there are 7 implied single charcaters (I'm sure there's more but going off the ones I listed)

And 22 straight characters.

There is literally no way to say queer ships are being pushed by the offical series or take president over straight ones. And plenty are applied to be single.

Anon is smoking something to think 3 outta 22(give or take) is to many.

I really feel like there should be more straight, same-species relationships. Now, do I love all of them (Sundew x Willow be my fav), but most are all same-gender, or opposing tribes. It would just be a fresh change of pace to see regular ones more frequently. To top that off, to even see more dragons like Sunny who dont end up having a relationship at all. Not every dragon will find someone to love, and thats fine! I just feel like sometimes Tui is pushing in the LBGTQ relationships or just everyone must have someone to love at the end of their books

I hate “closed” tribes. Hot take- Tribes like Dewwings are just Leafwings2 - you shouldn’t be creating tribes or monetary value towards an IP you down own the rights to- they are just for flashy show because “look! I have a cool dragon, and hahah you don’t!”

I feel like Tui wouldn’t like them, simply because IPs like that make a lot of money, and publishers don’t like non-ip owners encroaching on that
