A SandWing themed banner for my headcanon page! (A 10-12 pages long file with a detailed explanation for the biology and purpose of SandWing anatomy as well as their economy, jobs, culture, history and so much more....yes I am very much normal I swear). I do plan on making one of every tribe but I haven't really had the time to...
This is also an OC of mine! My main SandWing boyo Yucca! He is a storyteller and a nomad who has seen all of Pyrrhia in his relatively long life.
(btw my commissions of this style are also open if you like it better than my full on Lineart one! They are at 10€ for headshot/bust and 15€ for fullbody)
I'm taking commissions for headshots like these (4 slots left)! Will also be opening one fullbody slot!
Headshots - 8€
Fullbody - 12€

More from the Glory being raised by Webs AU! So some comments in my last post brought up some really good points about how Glory leaving early would affect the plot of book 1. Additionally, I saw a post (for the life of me I cannot remember where on tumblr I saw it but it was here) saying that Peril should've been the one to give Scarlet her face scar. Soooo taking these two ideas and putting them in a blender, we got something for this AU.
More details under the cut as well as an image!
TW: burn scars, scarring, and eyestrain
So, since Glory is no longer there when the Dragonets (or what's left) is found by Scarlet, Glory and Webs in long gone (we'll get back to those guys once I figure out what happens with them), there's really no one to take out Scarlet at the moment (foreshadowing). I'd probably make Peril younger in this AU mainly bc I don't like the idea of her being the only adult in the Jade Winglet. Peril has always been an interesting character, she's someone who's literally been manipulated from childhood and conditioned to act a certain way. I'd imagine her still being very loyal to Scarlet, but a little angry (bc she should be WAY angrier in the books, girl literally had her life robbed by Scarlet). I also imagine she does a lot of things without thinking and on top of that has a lot of anxiety over who she should trust/what she should do etc. When Peril initially befriends Clay, she's just glad to have someone to talk to and she can finally start building her nonexistent social skills (in this AU I also imagine she's 10x harder to talk to bc of her lack of social skills). Clay brings up the idea of escaping and Peril joining the group, but this makes Peril very nervous. Scarlet was all she ever knew, and leaving that was kind of scary, so she declines. Overtime, Peril learns from Clay that her life is not really normal (or healthy), this instills a lot of doubt in Peril, but she still trusts Scarlet, after all, she took her in when no one else would (lie). Eventually comes Kestrel's trial, which is when Peril figures out what Scarlet did, which shatters her whole world and makes her start to resent Scarlet. Fast forward to the arean match between Clay and Peril. Peril is about to win the match, she turns on Scarlet and tackles her, causing Scarlet's melted face. She then helps the other dragonets and guardians (not sure if Dune or Hvitur will be alive at this point) and skidaddle.
btw I got the idea for the Peril design from this post right here
WoF AU time! Webs is actually a good father AU! there's more about this under the cut!
so there's been a little thing swimming around in my head and it's about Webs (pun absolutely intended). so we know that Webs took two eggs, Tsunami's egg and Glory's egg, but in this au, he feels really bad about taking Glory's egg as she was never a part of the prophecy. to make up for this, he tries to be a good parent to her (along with Hvitur bc he's alive in this au (for now)!). the guardians all decided to keep Glory's existence under wraps so the Talons of Peace (and Morrowseer) don't come after them. anyways Morrowseer rolls up and see Glory and is like "wtf is this?? get it out of here!" and the other guardians (Kestrel and Dune) are pretty chill with these orders, but Webs doesn't agree, so he sneaks Glory out and takes her to the rainforest, where he decides he can at least try and return her to her original family, and that's where this ends off so far.
Dragonets of Destiny designs! here's a picture with all of them for height comparison
my oc Wind! She's a Sky/Night hybrid who has empath abilities. She comes from the SkyWing capital (called Skysight) and she travels the continent as a bounty hunter! Her design probably will be changed mainly because I have no headcanon appearance for both SkyWings and NightWings so we'll see what she looks like in another two months oh here's some extra doodles I drew a month after the reference
recent wof art and wips!!
some recent art dumps again!! beginning w a dnd art gift and a comm <3

sneak peeks for some cloudwing collab adopts !!
So I was waiting to fall asleep last night and I thought of this. What if RainWings had a third eyelid (kind of like crocodiles and alligators) and the eyelid is semi-transparent, but still has some kind of color changing scales on them so the RainWing can fully blend into their surroundings. Alrighty there's your random WoF headcanon of the day
more wof art 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
So, I have this random but wholesome headcanon for SkyWings. So what if a SkyWing and their partner were to fly really high into the sky before holding hands and then diving back down to the ground, but before they hit the ground, they let go of each other's hands and fly back up, and what if this was their form of marriage. I got this idea from just randomly thinking about eagles because they do the same thing. Anyways, there's your random headcanon for the day.
boom here we are, a small commision for a friend. I totally did not message them asking if I could draw their WoF sona for content or anything
I've drawn a pretty sketched-out drawing of my Wings of Fire oc Hoverfly here staring at a Christmas Tree because wholesome. Anyways I want to wish everyone who celebrates Christmas a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Here I've got one of my WoF ocs that I've drawn. It's been a while since I've drawn this, but I wanted to post this and talk a little about my sweet HiveWing boy. This here is Hoverfly. He's very shy and would much rather spend a day reading a good book than talk to other people. He's a curious boy and will usually look to a book for answers, not only will he get a clear answer, but he'll also get to avoid confrontations, because everybody hates those.
Here's some art I did a while back. I think it was supposed to be the Sky Kingdom based on the building in the background.
rahh cloudwing adopt up currently !! go check them out on the discord or on toyhouse :

this is just a random silkwing (i’ve always loved drawing them) but i just realized it could also work for luna! hats off to that.
art of my sorawing between comms.. she needs a name
I hate “closed” tribes. Hot take- Tribes like Dewwings are just Leafwings2 - you shouldn’t be creating tribes or monetary value towards an IP you down own the rights to- they are just for flashy show because “look! I have a cool dragon, and hahah you don’t!”
I feel like Tui wouldn’t like them, simply because IPs like that make a lot of money, and publishers don’t like non-ip owners encroaching on that
.
oh my god?? thank you guys?? It hasn’t even been a week yet ?? and i’ve already hit 500 likes and 100 reblogs??

aaand... BAZINGA!
Folks seemed to enjoy my WOF WIPS, so here’s more concept art for y’all! My favorite thing about WOF is the potential for world building. I thought it’d be cool to see a tribe emblem represented on a banner/flag of sorts:
Read below for some of the thought process / headcannons behind the design choices: 👇
Skywing Banner:
Skywings pride themselves on 3 things; treasure, fire, & their enormous, soaring wingspan which steals the sky.
As such, portrayed on the banner, the fabric (often made with dyed cow or goat leathers) resembles draped dragon wings. Two Skywings embrace a goblet, which is spewing golden fire.
The banner is often held aloft with iron or gold poles, signifying to other tribes their wealth and pride.
Mudwing banner:
These banners are fashioned with leather hides from cow or crocodile skin, held aloft with bamboo, and painted with a Talon-print & Reed crest.
The talonprint symbolizes community and the strength of Mudwing sibling bonds. The reed border unifies all Mudwings regardless of their relationship to home; the swamp. Bigwings are often seen carrying these into battle, signifing their status and making it easier for a sib to locate them in the flurry of a fight.
Sandwing Banner:
Sandwing flags are made with camel skins and dyed cactus leather.
A crest shows a Sandwing coiled around a beaming sun, a reminder that despite the revered 3 moons, Sandwings are born to thrive in sunlight.
The fabric is cut in a way to mimic the swooping dunes of Sandwing territory. And the poles of the flags are equally intricate, with scorpion tails and golden ropes which frame the banner.
These flags make prominent appearances in parades, festivals, and markets, and even miniature version are often displayed in homes or as tapestries/carpets.
Seawing banner:
These banners are often seen displayed in royal quarters or councils, or above land to mark territory.
A nautilus shell crest on front echoes the swirl-pattern associated with royal Seawings: The banner’s borders resemble waves and a dragon swimming beneath their surface.
These are crafted with rich materials, strung with seashells, pearls, silver dollars, and deep oceanic color fabric. There is severe penalty for Seawings found plucking treasure from the banners, as they are a direct symbol of royalty.
Nightwing Banner:
These banners emphasize the Nightwings’ relationship to the moon, their source of power and praise. The material, a contrast of white stitching against purple velvet showcases moonlight and night, black scales against stars, magic and mystery.
They are seen decorated with 3 moons at the top and a centered dragon reaching up into the night sky.
These banners were often used during the war as secret code by spies to deliver to other tribes. Prophecy scrolls often came attached, delivering cryptic messages or secrets in the night. These banners all helped add to the secrecy of the Dragonet Prophecy, and kept tribes on their toes around Nightwings.
Rainwing banner:
Rainwing banners are not used for battle purposes like other tribes, most are mere decoration, location indicators, and have no unified design.
However, It is said back when Rainwings left the rainforest to trade pre-war, this particular banner design was often raised above Rainwing merchant tables, and showcases the coiled tail of a Rainwing with leaves, vines, and other sights from the rainforest adorning a bamboo pole. Bright color combinations accentuated the flag to entice curious customers.
Now, only one tattered version of the original Rainwing banner remains, displayed proudly in Queen Glory’s quarters, a reminder that building the Rainwings’ community is their most important goal.
Icewing Banner:
These banners reflect the same standards Icewings hold themselves to.
Like a visual of the rankings themselves, each banner is cut perfectly from an Icewing’s trained, serrated claws to resemble icicles, and crafted with fine blue stitching.
Flags are often held aloft with perfectly polished narwhal horn or bone, and can be inlaid with sapphires or diamond.
Icewing soldiers are often gifted these during ceremonies, and perform training exercises with the flags to test their stance/attentiveness. The crest showcases the swift sharpness of ice through a flying dragon, and a snowflake toward the bottom reminding Icewings that even minuscule snowflakes, small things, should be perfect in form.
