reading teen titans 2003 fills me with unimaginable rage and i can’t articulate it but i feel like all the characters are just slightly… off. especially coming from YJ 1998. and i just??? it fills me with such RAGE. like towards the characters.

wdym cassie thought that tim was “on a trip with batman”??? huh??? was that not his RR year? year hell? huh??????? and bart is so serious. bsfr. that is not bart. and conner is just- ugh.

for some reason everyone is an asshole like- i’m fine with jason and i KNOW what happens when he returns. but watching it play out? he is a BASTARD. kill him. kill him with fire.

and i forgot how much of a BRAT damian was. wdym this is robin? light and joy and comfort? that is not robin. that is an assassin in a vigilante’s suit who thinks he’s entitled to things he is not, in fact, entitled to. why is he even at titan’s tower? he does not belong there. he does not- he- i- blegh. (he shouldnt even be robin but that’s an essay for another time)

and tim and damian interacting! what. damian is both too rude and too nice and its WEIRD. bc at this point was damian not still literally verbally abusing tim? (it was abuse. there is no other descriptor. they weren’t getting into fights, damian was abusing tim verbally and at one point physically. genuinely if you think damian’s general behavior was excusable at all do not interact with me because that is straight up abuse apologism and i will NOT-)

i dont know the general opinion of it. but i just. it fills me with anger. everyone is weird and icky and ever so slightly ooc (everyone from yj 1998 at least.)

everyone talks about how YJ watched santa die but no one talks about how before santa showed up, YJ made a fucking suicide pact to take out the doomsday missile.
