did the meme! after i finished drawing this i realized that this is basically how high adventure went down so

more spamalot art since i've had the soundtrack stuck in my head nonstop after seeing it last sunday.

was such a delight getting to see these two fall in love onstage! i adore them, definitely the highlight of the show for me

i saw spamalot on broadway this past weekend and GUYS it was so good!! i laughed so hard i had tears running down my face, and i loved all the characters so much. here's sir galahad!!

tablet update!! i bought a new one and it rocks. haven't used it too much but really enjoying it so far! it's bigger so i have to get adjusted to the size difference (I've used a small tablet for like 10 years so i have to start drawing bigger if that makes sense)

Second, for a potential Aladdin broadway idea, how about drawing Aladdin and his friends as children? Or maybe Aladdin as a boy and with your interpretation of his mom? What do you think?

Thank you! i've been doing some research for which one to get as a replacement. my old one i had probably close to 10 years now and was one of the more basic ones (it's a wacom bamboo) so I'm going to be getting a more professional grade one! end of an era i suppose.

i love the idea of BOAK as kids (may do that another time), but I chose to depict little Al and his mom. I imagine she was strikingly beautiful, and had curly hair like Aladdin does. I referenced some of the marketplace outfits worn by the ladies in the show for her dress. with her being a mom, i made her outfit a little more modest, so her stomach would be fully covered.

(i rarely draw ladies so this was fun!)

My tablet, after almost a decade of serving me well, seems to be on the way out :( so probably no digital work for a bit sadly

BUT I want to get back into doing more Aladdin stuff so send me questions/comments/doodle suggestions (i'll just do simple stuff in my sketchbook) about Aladdin, especially regarding BOK!!

really just want to get my mind thinking about the show again to maybe spark some ideas :))

Drawing these dudes is always so fun. I gave them little pins too since queer people love pins (I myself have so so many). Hopefully the resolution doesn’t make them hard to see. My headcanons are as follows:

Babkak: Aromantic Asexual. Doesn’t really do the whole relationship thing. The man said it himself, he’s only ever been in love twice and both of those times were with a flan. Asexual icon.

Omar: Gay. I don’t have much else to say about Omar, he’s just gay. Pretty simple.

Aladdin: Bisexual with mostly a preference for women. It’s probably like 80/20 for him.

Kassim: Bisexual with no real gender preference. He just always gave me very powerful bi energy and I love that for him. He’s not bi-curious, he’s bi FURIOUS.

Happy Pride Month everyone! Remember: no matter what anybody says, if you are LGBTQ+ you are a blessing to this fucking earth we live on. Don't let anyone tell you that you're "sinful" or "immoral" just for being who you are. Gay, Trans, Bi, Nonbinary, Asexual, no matter your identity, you are wonderful and I'm happy you're here.

yeah so I been watching naruto and i just had to draw these two. they're insane and they're in love and that really speaks to me. hidan is a whiny bitch and kakuzu is a freak and i just adore them both.

Last time I went to Aladdin, i got to sit closer than ever before. I sat in the fifth row and it made me appreciate the set even more than i did before. Like every scene is just so PRETTY. It's hard to pick, I know, but I am interested in what people think.

Maybe I'll draw some set stuff. I usually try to include backgrounds in my work, cuz I love getting to depict certain scenes, so maybe...

Here he is! Just like with Aladdin, this is actually the first time I've done a full illustration of Genie. I've done sketches and bust drawings, but never his full body.

I had a lot of fun drawing his costume! I think the pants were my favorite part to do. He's got these cool swirls going on, and I love to scribble so I really enjoyed doing that. Also, love all his bling.

Drew James Monroe Iglehart's Genie because I love the OBC. The original cast members are all very special to me. I really loved Major Attaway in the role too!
