i tried the “ask your mom what she would do if you were a bug” trend
I love the way you render skin and do expressions 😩🤚 can I ask what brushes you use??
Thank you so much!! I mostly use 3 brushes, all CSP:
Cremecheese ID 1932319
I use this brush for almost everything - sketching, lineart, shading.
Default CSP thick paint round mixing brush
I use this for painting backgrounds and laying down blush layers on skin. It has really lovely blend function which is why I use it on my backgrounds.
Default CSP soft airbrush
I use this for environmental lighting effects and blending blush layers. I also use the blend tool for blending blush and skin shadows.
I also use the default CSP hatching gauze cloud brush all the time to add in degrees of texture whenever something seems too flat/plasticy.
Extra mention for a brush I don't use often but really love the utility of:
Muda muda muda ID 1715496
It just has a really great sketch texture, I mostly use it for more intense sfx in my comics tho cos I don't really like rough sketch brushes but if you do this ones v nice.
I think my favorite genre of headcanons (specifically in the arcane fandom) are older people acting their age.
You give Sevika or Ambessa a phone and them being in the 40's-50's age range, they would most definitely hold it too far from their face, squint, and use their index finger to scroll to whatever videos or images they want to see next. Oh, and they don't consider volume to be an issue either. No headphones. No turning it down. You can't walk down the hall without hearing whatever obscure video they're watching.
Ambessa being a black mom would 100% be one of those to see a kid without socks or a coat on in reasonably calm weather - it's just hit 50 or 60 degrees outside in fall (10-15 Celsius) and her brows would knit together in frustration as she mumbles something along the lines of; "Where is that child's coat?"
Both of their Facebook profile photos would be some variation of the awkward mom/aunt angles where they're holding the camera too low so that they're looking down at it with the faintest hint of a smile (not Sevika though, I fear that lady is not about to smile on Facebook. Hell she doesn't post on social media at all, she just has it to occasionally be nosy)
Both Sevika and Silco need reading glasses. Neither of them wears them when they need to. But when they do the moment they're called on by someone or trying to read something they'll do that thing where they tilt their head down and look over the rims as if that'll somehow make seeing whoever/whatever they're trying to look at easier to see.
Like all the sexy headcanons are fun and all, but I do need more of these. I crave it like water.
something my mum always taught us was to look for the resources we're entitled to, and use them. public land? know your access rights and responsibilities, go there and exercise them. libraries? go there and talk to librarians and read community notice boards, find out what other people are doing around you, ask questions, use the printers. public records offices? go in there, learn what they hold and what you can access, look at old maps, get your full birth certificate copied, check out the census from your neighbourhood a hundred years ago. are you entitled to social support? find out, take it, use it. does the local art college have facilities open to the public? go in, look around, check out their exhibit on ancient looms or whatever, shop in their campus art supply store. it applies online too, there is so much shit in the world that belongs to the public commons that you can access and use if you just take a minute to wonder what might exist!!!
Here’s a good one
