Thing
(Like the one from the Addms Family?)
Alright, let's talk about Thing from the Addams Family. This fashion icon is truly... singular. We're not dealing with your average runway walk here, folks. We're talking about a walk that's more of a frantic scurry, often across highly polished surfaces, leaving behind only the fingerprints of this icon.
Overall Aesthetic: Minimalism meets existential dread. Think deconstructed, avant-garde, post-apocalyptic chic, but without the chic. And, you know, no clothing.
Signature Piece: Themself. This is where Thing truly shines. The hand itself is a masterclass in self love and confidence. No jewelry, no gloves (obviously but it is seen in his belongi gs at so.e point), just pure, unadulterated hand-ness. It's bold, it's understated, it's undeniably...handy.
Silhouette: Sleek. Streamlined. Reduced to its absolute essence. We're talking about the apex of form-fitting. You can't get much closer to the body than the body itself. We're talking absolute negative space. Think the absence of the rest of a body. He's rocking the "invisible man" look, but only from the wrist up. It's a bold statement, really, a complete rejection of the traditional human form. We can safely say he's a trendsetter in the "no body, no problem" movement.
Fabric Choices: Skin. The ultimate natural fiber. Breathable, durable, and easily customizable with scars and the occasional mysterious discoloration.
Color Palette: It’s giving "I haven't seen sunlight in 40 years". He is truly embracing the monochrome aesthetic, but is he making a conscious choice? Maybe some day he will sport a fun, poppy pink, like Margot Robbie in the Barbie movie.
Hair and Makeup: Non-existent. Thing is a staunch advocate for the "no makeup" look, a true champion of au naturel.
The Message: What is Thing trying to say with his choices? Here are a few interpretations:
"Deconstruction is key." He embodies literal deconstruction. He's pushing the boundaries of what it means to be "dressed."
"I'm busy, back off." A disembodied hand gets right to the point. No small talk, no fuss.
"Being different is a sign of intelligence." Thing operates independently and speaks his own language. He's a true individual.
"Function over form." Let's be honest, he doesn't need the rest of the body to get things done.
Overall style: Thing is a fashion legend, a rebel, and a legend in his own...hand. He is proof that with confidence and a little bit of Addams Family charm, you can rock any look, even if that look is purely hand-based. Five out of five severed fingers!
Occasions and events: Thing dresses for all occasions with a single, unwavering commitment to his signature look. He can do anything. Need a bartender? Thing. Need a chauffeur? Thing. Need someone to play the harpsichord? Thing. The adaptability of this guy is unparalleled.
Confidence: Thing is more than just a disembodied hand; he's a statement. A statement that screams, "I am comfortable in my own skin." He's a rebel, a minimalist, and a reminder that sometimes, less is more. (Unless you need to, you know, hold something heavy for witch you might need two hands.)
Fashion Prediction for Next Season: Rumor has it Thing is experimenting with nail polish. Sources say a deep, blood red is his current favorite, closely followed by a nice solid black to give edgy vibes.
In conclusion: He's a master in minimalist style, proving that sometimes, the most impactful fashion statements are made with the least amount of "stuff”. He's a walking (or crawling) paradox– wholly incomplete, yet utterly sufficient. He is a hand, and he's all he needs to be.
Even though she's a minor character with no name (or I didn't find it lol(¯▿¯)), I really liked her and wanted to draw her since I saw her 3 months ago… HAPPY HALLOWEEN(⌒▽⌒)☆!
Studying for some tests, so have a stressed Al
And a memory based Morticia Addams.
ARTOBER DAY 4:
Wednesday Addams
Not my best but whatever.
enid: man sure is dark in here. wednesday: enid: i'm not scared or anything. wednesday: enid: i mean who is scared of the dark these days? not me no sir. wednesday: do you want me to hold your hand? enid: yes please.
Obsessed with this concept
(the fact that the ravens annoy the wolves sksksnsjksn)
Wednesday Addams | Inside the Character
Badness Level with Enid and Wednesday (Lilo & Stitch reference)
The love triangle was so shit. Even Jenna Orgega agrees
A quick aged up Wednesday & Parker from the Addams family movie.
(It's like 2am rn, so I'll try to make a better picture later if I can)
Finally watched the Addams Family Values recently! and honestly. my main takeaway is
Debbie slays. And Joan Cusack is a QUEEN
I mean...
How is our Jenna ?! Do you want to give me hope in a vacuum or how is it ?! I need this house to be where Wednesday hides Tyler and it becomes their place / home !
Jenna, on Netflix TUDUM 2023: [referring to the Hyde master bond] I always thought it'd be interesting for Wednesday to have a pet monster.
Hunter: [also referring to the master bond theory] I'd be down for that.
Me:
I'm convinced there's at least one Addams cousin who can't tell if Tyler is Wednesday's boyfriend or just straight up her weirdest addition to the menagerie (he's both, but shh)
I imagine she tells the rest of the family about him, but mostly through letters, and it's so hard to tell by the way she describes him and the situations they get into.
Cousin: Doing anything special this weekend?
Wednesday: not really, most afternoons I'm just in the yard watching Tyler dig new graves with his nails.
Wednesday: I'll probably take him out for a walk later on, he gets really antsy in confined spaces.
Wednesday: Gonna be picking up whatever clothes he leaves behind, it's tedious, but he makes up for it by bringing me a deer he caught with his bare teeth.
Wednesday: At night, he insists on going to bed while watching a movie. But I just scratch his head and behind his ear for a couple minutes till he's out cold, then I just read whatever I want.
Cousin:...is he vaccinated?
My favorite thing right now is any fic that has Tyler set foot in the Addams home.
Not only is he being showered with support, but he gets to be unapologetically down bad for Wednesday. You know dang well Gomez and Morticia would never judge someone taking control of their sexuality.
Also, the absolute Gold-tier clownery of having Wednesday "I'm nothing like my parents" Addams be equally thirsty in front of her family is fucking hilarious to me!
Wednesday, after pulling Tyler into the library:
Pugsley, just trying to read in peace:
How Wednesday would eventually breakup with Joel and foreshadow Tyler!
First off Joel was Wednesday’s first, a summer camp fling if you will.
They bonded over similar interest and desire to escape camp together.
Pathetic
Devoted
Similar interests
Serial killers
First kiss
Forced to watch Disney movies together
Overthrew evil racist camp counselors
How Tyler similar to Joel
Sought Tyler out
Chose him
Went to dance and peacocked his butt
For her birthday Wednesday wanted to spend time with Tyler and Enid
Helped in her in her investigation
Doesn’t ask Wednesday to change
Hopelessly devoted
How Tyler is different from Joel
Cant be bought
Challenges Wednesday
Is a serial killer
An outcast
Saved her life
Makes her bitter quads
Doesn’t just do as she says
Joel would be Wednesday’s slave, but she doesn’t want that.
I think for season 2, Wednesday and Tyler should explore Tyler-Hyde being independent from her. No longer Laurel’s slave and neither Wednesday’s slay. Instead equal partnership in both love and mayhem.
A lover that talks back
Doesn’t let Wednesday get away with anything
Challenges Wednesday in both murder and as a person
Is hopelessly devoted but has his own mind and independence
True Psychopath’s in love
I managed too finish watching Wednesday, and now I'm obsessed, so I tried drawing Wednesday from memory
