Honestly, I'm actually glad there won't be romance in season 2. I want the series full and undivided attention on setting up the dynamic between outcasts and the world around them.

I want them to dive in deeper into the Hypocrisy of only teaching "the good outcasts", and how/if they are willing to sacrifice their own to save themselves from racism and bigotry.

I want to see the consequences of everyone's actions take a front seat next season. From parental backlash after the Laurel incident, to the fact that there's an entire race of outcasts who were basically born to be enslaved. Heck, I want to see consequences for Wednesday being healed by a ghost, that must've messed up her biology somehow, right?

1. Maybe I'm too much of a slow-burn/angst fan, but that sounds ideal to me. I want them to take time rebuilding their relationship.

2. The Xavier thing is not gonna happen most likely. Netflix pretty much confirmed he was fired, and won't be returning for season 2.

3. I would not be surprised if that were the case. Especially with how much Tim Burton loves Gothic romance.

So sorry for the rambling lol

I've seen people freaking out about there being no romance in season 2, but consider this:

1. It took a lot for Wednesday to trust Tyler, and it will take way more for her to trust him again now, probably another whole season or more.

2. Some people have been pushing a love triangle with them and Xavier, so a romance plot would mean she runs into Xavier’s arms, and most of us don't want that.

3. Misdirection is a huge thing in the age of plot twists and spoilers. Jenna has said "no romance" so many times now that it's getting suspicious. The two points above are most likely true, but there is always the possibility that there is a romance plot and they're lying to us so we don't see it coming.*

*see: everything that was done to keep Tom Holland from telling us about End Game.

So for those who don’t know I started a @stickfigureschallenge (please check the pinned post for details!)... I made these beforehand and literally had so much fun with it, which made me want to create the challenge lol

I'm convinced there's at least one Addams cousin who can't tell if Tyler is Wednesday's boyfriend or just straight up her weirdest addition to the menagerie (he's both, but shh)

I imagine she tells the rest of the family about him, but mostly through letters, and it's so hard to tell by the way she describes him and the situations they get into.

Cousin: Doing anything special this weekend?

Wednesday: not really, most afternoons I'm just in the yard watching Tyler dig new graves with his nails.

Wednesday: I'll probably take him out for a walk later on, he gets really antsy in confined spaces.

Wednesday: Gonna be picking up whatever clothes he leaves behind, it's tedious, but he makes up for it by bringing me a deer he caught with his bare teeth.

Wednesday: At night, he insists on going to bed while watching a movie. But I just scratch his head and behind his ear for a couple minutes till he's out cold, then I just read whatever I want.

Nothing will humble you more than creating a coherent family tree for the Addams clan.

From the comics in 1938 to Wednesday 2022, just pages and pages of information about the Addams and the Frump.

Good news for the fanfic writers, since the Addamses are "nomads by nature" you can pretty much add whatever background you want to your cousin/uncle/aunt oc.

Also I'm not entirely sure, but I think the 90's movies had a man playing a family member, who was repeatedly referred to as "she" so 👀

Or at least that was the plan, for as soon as Wednesday's eyes came upon the dead man's exposed back, she retraced her arms as though she'd been burned. Leaving Pugsley to bear its whole weight, causing the boy to push the body away, which turned with a loud 'smack' resonating across the room.

"Hey, what gives!?" he complained, but Wednesday paid him little attention, refusing to tear her eyes from what lay before her.

It began from his lower back, stretching up to his rhomboid major. There were three, superficial at the start but growing in intensity as they went up, to the point where a trio of puncture holes adorned their end. As though the aggressor had decided to switch tactics midway.

The victim had been hooked on his back and slammed against the ground.

"Isn't...Isn't that good news?" Waiting until he looked up, I was more confused than before. "He's being promoted. Aren't you happy?"

Tyler tossed me a sad lopsided smile. "We're moving Wen. At the end of the summer."

"What...?" I gawked. Moving? Why? "But you're in school here. And there's a Strat-port in Long Beach. Can't he just stay here and--"

"They need him in Houston."

The world swayed. Houston? Houston Houston as in Texas. Why? What was the logic when he could just fly out for his missions and come back to California afterward?

"When did you find out?"

Tyler looked at me--the corner of his lip twitching before he looked down again. "This morning."

"So you're leaving...permanently. Just like that."

"Yeah." He didn't look up. Just stared at the ground then murmured, "I'm sorry Wednesday."
