Dear my beloved,
My shadows have told me that you are struggling with your mental and physical health more than usual. I wish I could be there to help you feel better, but alas, I cannot. Rhysand has sent you on a dangerous mission, and prohibited anyone helping you. I told him it was a mistake, that it wouldn’t benefit you, but he disregarded me. I apologize that I cannot be of much help, especially since it is my fault your last mission failed. Hopefully I can convince Rhysand to let me help you soon.
Cassian and Elain miss you. Not as much as I, of course, but they miss you. Elain says the garden is dying without you, and that the smell of baked goods that fills the townhouse is not as...fragrant as it once was. And I have to agree. Especially the garden. The flowers do seem to be wilting without your beauty and grace to strengthen them. The once delicious chocolate muffins have lost their flavour and warmth. When you return, when not if, it will be like the first spring all over again, believe me. The sun will shine brighter, the flowers bloom once again. The flavour and warmth will return to food; the days will be longer, laughter filling the streets. It will be beautiful when you return home.
Cassian says the rooftop feels emptier when it’s just him up there without you to brighten his world. Because that’s what you do. You brighten up everyone’s world. You make everyone happy, even when you feel like giving up like you do now. Maybe that can be your reason to stay. Not for me or Elain or Cassian, but because you help people.
I hope this helped. I will be contacting you again via letter as often as I can. I don’t expect you to reply.

🌌you were the sibling of the archon sisters and it was tough to be in there shadow. Especially in making friends your power some what scared people .it didn’t help how protective your sisters were especially elain.
🌌everyone treated you with respect and kindness however you were lonely only ever having your sisters who would fight over who got to spend time with you. Even though there mates became jealous how much time they spent around you they didn’t care because you were there sibling there family.
🌌freyer usually showed you all her paintings befor anyone else and most of them had you in them.
🌌nesta preferred to gossip with you about how annoying everyone is .
🌌elain liked it when you helped her with the garden.
🌌they all had a neutral understanding that you were perfect . When they became mates they encouraged there other half’s to get to know you .
🌌rhysand was the first to come around and agree with his mate that you were the perfect little sister. In away you reminded him of his sister so he became increasingly worried about your safety. That’s why the servants spoke only few words to you.
🌌cassian was reluctant in getting to know you . He was a jealous man to say the least he worshipped the ground nesta walked on and all she did was seek your comfort. He understood that you are her younger sibling but he still hates how much time she spent with you. When he got too know you better (which took 6 months) he realised how extraordinary you were and became devoted to your safety.
🌌mor instantly became friends with you once you came to live under the mountain. She enjoyed telling you secrets of others even though she promised those people she wouldn’t tell a soul . That’s how important you are to her.
🌌azriel was heartbroken after elain found out lucien was her mate and not him. He became depressed and felt his self esteem become lesser then it already was .
🌌but then you showed up , you were shaking like a leaf when you arrived. Clearly traumatised but slowly ever so slowly you came out of your shell . Often spending your nights talking with him under the stars.
🌌when the news goes to the inner circle you and azriel are spending more and more time together. They encourage it they know they can’t keep you from falling in love with somebody so azriel is the perfect solution. He would protect you for life . They knew that. Everyone knew that.
🌌so he became obsessed and devoted completely to you .
🌌he does random acts of service . You hungry? Don’t worry azriel will get you food ! You tired ? Azriel has you in his arms flying you to you bed.
🌌if anyone and I mean ANYONE threatens you he won’t hesitate to kill them . And no one can stop him anyway . After all the inner circle came to an agreement that azriel was perfect for you .
🌌if you try to escape your being dragged back and locked in your room for weeks until you are on your knees begging to be let out for a few minutes.
🌌overall try and stay away from them ALL they believe they have the best intentions for you but in reality it’s a toxic smothering that you can’t escape .
🌌azriel is an delusional and emotionally unstable yandere

Friendly Reminder
Rhys had a little sister that we'll never see him get over protective over. We'll never see her push his hand off as he ruffled her her(I feel Iike that would have happened a lot). We won't ever see her interaction with Feyre. Or anyone else as a matter of fact. And idk if better or worse that we never saw her, we know nothing of her, but at least we're not attached as much. Unlike the inner Circle, I wonder how much they miss both of them.
(PS: I have read only till ACOWAR so if I'm missing something after that, yeahhhh)

Rhysand, in order to prove his cruelty and this loyalty, is known to some pretty guttering stuff. I wonder who did Amarantha order to cut off that faerie's wings in ACOTAR. Illyrian bat baby. Wings. EVEN IF HE HADN'T BEEN THE ONE TO CUT THEM OFF CAN YOU EVEN IMAGINE HOW IT WOULD HAVE FELT TO EVEN HEAR THE FAERIE. IM DYING
Okay but I want Azriel to be absolutely head over heels for Gwyn in a way that the other Bat Boys weren’t for their mates (before they got together).
I want Az to become a blushing mess when Gwyn compliments him. (Or even just smiles at him)
I want Azriel to go from “blank face, unreadable, scary shadow singer” to absolutely beaming when Gwyn walks into the room.
Give me the whole inner circle being confused because he’s so relaxed and comfortable around her and LAUGHS (which before ACOSF we had seen him do once, maybe twice) out loud.
(“He’s only known her for like 6 months guys, what is he on?”)
Give me Azriel being completely at ease and visibly relaxing when she walks in the room.
Give me nervous Azriel because “oh my gosh she’s right there and I think she’s looking at me oh my word she’s so perfect.”
Give me Cassian and Rhys subtly teasing him about Gwyn and his face turning bright red.
Give me Azriel getting nervous to ask her to dinner but willing to be straightforward with her because even though it’s terrifying he’s willing to face the chance of rejection (literally something he struggles with, ya know, the whole “I’m not good enough” thing) if it means he also has a chance to spend time with her.
I want this man to be absolutely head over heels for her and and for everyone to be aware of it.

My favorite part about Azriel’s bonus chapter is how fucking awkward he is.
He does not catch one break. At one point he’s even like “Damn, I need to say something else that was not a socially acceptable answer 😰”

Acotar headcanon:
Okay, so you know how when Nesta is kidnapped and forced to perform the blood rite, Cassian is freaking out thinking that she could be dead and he might not even know it. Then Azriel assures him that if she died Cassian would know because they are mates….
Well what if there was a fae (maybe Azriel, idk) and they lived in Pythian but their mate was mortal and lived in another world (I definitely think that some mates are currently separated by worlds). And since they are mortal every time they die their fated mate feels it. Same with every time they are reincarnated (I also think that in the SJM universe characters are reincarnated) (more on that theory later)
Just thinking about how when the bat boys were teenagers they were sneaking wine while Rhys’s mom was out of town and they spilled it on the couch and freaked out so hard they threw all of their magic into trying to get rid of the stain just to end up permanently preserving the wine stain on the couch
I don’t care who the next ACOTAR romantic pairing is I swear if I don’t get a WELL THOUGHT OUT AND COOKED MATING MEAL….

Do you think Azriel has a normal shadow? Like he has all of his “magic” shadows but do you think he casts a regular shadow when light hits him? If so, why can’t he control that one? If not, do you think anyone has noticed?

The best part about the bat boys being outrageously old is that I’ll never grow older than them. It’s not like they are 25 and I’ll eventually have to stop crushing on them cause I’ll be too old. No. I will be 70 and still be young to them. There would still be a chance… you know… if they weren’t fictional
What time I think each ACOTAR character wakes up at:
Cassian- is up at 5 on most days. Sometimes earlier. He wants to make the most of the day and that includes being up early to workout before training
Nesta- is woken up by Cassian who is incapable of getting out of bed quietly. She keeps threatening to move to another bed.
Azriel- never goes to bed. He does not freaking sleep
Feyre- used to get up at 7 and start the morning with some light sketching and a cup of coffee. Now gets up what ever time Nyx gets up. She just wants some sleep.
Rhys- gets up whenever Nyx gets up. When Nyx wakes up around 3 or 4 it’s hard for Rhys to fall back asleep so he usually uses the early morning to fill out paperwork and tend to highlord business
Mor- will not get out of bed before 6:30. Typically likes to wake up at 7.
Elain- wakes up naturally around 6:30. She could be doing a number of things with her morning (baking, gardening, crafting)
Amren- Even after thousands of years of being fae she still has a hard time adjusting to a set sleep schedule. She’s awake until she collapses, usually on her couch, and does not have a specific sleep schedule
BIG THEORY!!!!! (Acotar and HOFAS spoilers)
So in the ACOTAR series truth teller is described as an obsidian hilted blade. And then in HOFAS when Azriel, Nesta, and Bryce are in the prison the Asteri tells Azriel he’s not using Truth teller to its full potential….
I have recently been researching scying and divination and one common form of it is looking into an obsidian mirror…..
what if truth teller can act as a scrying device???
It could potentially look into future? One other form of scrying we have seen in the series was when Elain tracked the suriel from across the lands. So maybe it could also track through space….

What if truth teller can scry through space and time? Across all dimensions???
