Letters I write to myself from fiction characters part 1, Azriel Shadowsinger, ACOTAR

Dear my beloved, 

                                   My shadows have told me that you are struggling with your mental and physical health more than usual. I wish I could be there to help you feel better, but alas, I cannot. Rhysand has sent you on a dangerous mission, and prohibited anyone helping you. I told him it was a mistake, that it wouldn’t benefit you, but he disregarded me. I apologize that I cannot be of much help, especially since it is my fault your last mission failed. Hopefully I can convince Rhysand to let me help you soon. 

Cassian and Elain miss you. Not as much as I, of course, but they miss you. Elain says the garden is dying without you, and that the smell of baked goods that fills the townhouse is not as...fragrant as it once was. And I have to agree. Especially the garden. The flowers do seem to be wilting without your beauty and grace to strengthen them. The once delicious chocolate muffins have lost their flavour and warmth. When you return, when not if, it will be like the first spring all over again, believe me. The sun will shine brighter, the flowers bloom once again. The flavour and warmth will return to food; the days will be longer, laughter filling the streets. It will be beautiful when you return home. 

Cassian says the rooftop feels emptier when it’s just him up there without you to brighten his world. Because that’s what you do. You brighten up everyone’s world. You make everyone happy, even when you feel like giving up like you do now. Maybe that can be your reason to stay. Not for me or Elain or Cassian, but because you help people. 

I hope this helped. I will be contacting you again via letter as often as I can. I don’t expect you to reply. 

Just remember, the darkness is here to help you discover the sun inside you.

💫he had heard stories from his mothers about love and how strong and amazing it was . So it was strangers to friends to lovers.

💫you would often spend many nights together whenever he could get away from amarantha .

💫once she was dead though he wanted to go public . He wanted to show the world how much he loved you . But when you declined only saying that you wanted to be lovers in private. His heart shattered.

💫he would question himself . All his insecurities would come to light. He knew he was know ones first choice especially after all that had happened but he thought you too shared a more deeper bond together.

💫if you say you wish to part ways wanting to not be in a relationship with him because you wanted to find your mate . He would snap. His sanity was like thread now.

💫he kept you hidden in the court of dreams and starlight . If you wanted to stay private that is fine… now you will have him and ONLY him with you .

💫makes you dependent on him but he also worships you .

💫his rivals are mysteriously disappearing. Some say they just saw shadows and then they disappeared?…

💫you try and escape he will BREAK your legs . Like I said he wants you dependent on him but don’t worry it’s just a reminder in case you try and leave him again.

💫he does want a child or children but if you don’t he will be sad but he will live with it. He loves you more then the stars after all as long as you are both together.

💫he is a desperate and worship yandere

💫one of the better yanderes to have because he will let you have freedom as long as he is with you . But if not he worships you in private where no one knows you exist…

But all magic comes at a price, some more costly than others.

“...Please. I will- I will give you anything.”

Tamlin raised his head at that, finally looking up from the pale corpse of Rhysand.

“Anything?”

“You’d best be careful.” Mor warned, stepping forward.

“Quiet.” He snarled, the single word cracking in the air like a whip. 

Mor's lip curled, but then she dropped her eyes to the golden threads of magic twining between his fingers. 

Pulsing. Rumbling. 

Her fingers tightened around her blade, but not another word left her lips.

“Just bring him back.” Feyre begged, twisting her hands into Rhysand’s clothes. 

“Please, just bring him back.”

Tamlin knelt beside the lifeless body of her mate. “Are you certain what you ask of me?”

Feyre stared up at him with wild, unseeing eyes.  “I am. I will give you anything.”

“Do you swear it?”

“I do,” she whispered. Feyre looked up into Tamlin's face.

"I do."

His lips curled into a smile, and it was almost tender.

“I want the Night Court.”

“No!’’ 

“Feyre, don’t!” 

Mor made to step between them yet again, but Feyre stopped her with a tattooed arm, blocking her path.

“Yes. I accept.”

Cries of dismay wrenched themselves from the throats of the Inner Circle, utterly hopeless as Feyre reached out her other hand; unblemished with nightly ink, clasping Tamlin's hand tightly in hers.

“It is done,” he murmured.

A shroud of smoke ensconced Rhysand’s body, lifting him into the air. Feyre cried out, stumbling back as the cloud swirled around him. A tendril of silver began to wind its way out of the cloud, twinkling as if it had been spun from the stars themselves. It reached towards Tamlin like a vine. He took it into his hand tenderly and it lay there, seeping into his skin until he glowed like a star.

And then there was utter stillness.

From the farthest corners of Prythian to the now crumpled wall, the wind rumbled with a single name…

Tamlin Silverthorne, the Stone-hearted, Killer of the Never-Fading-Flower, Protector of the Emerald lands,

I've been looking for you" gives so Howl's "Yaah, gomein gomein(which in the subs is "There you are, sorry I'm late" which ik it isn't but still) and the whole scene. Well, except for the fact that Feyre was in a more sour pickle than Sophie bit that's the whole vibes of them. So yeah. That's that

Hello there!! So a few nights ago I was just thinking about how it's kind of ridiculous that we call Tamlin a tampon. Because a tampon is actually kind of useful, ykwim? And then I was like, but we needed Tamlin so that Feyre would go to Prythian. And then I was like, "Yeah, and you gotta throw away a used tampon cuz it gets toxic, just like Tamlin did" and idk if this was it, but that made me realize that this is it

Friendly Reminder

Rhys had a little sister that we'll never see him get over protective over. We'll never see her push his hand off as he ruffled her her(I feel Iike that would have happened a lot). We won't ever see her interaction with Feyre. Or anyone else as a matter of fact. And idk if better or worse that we never saw her, we know nothing of her, but at least we're not attached as much. Unlike the inner Circle, I wonder how much they miss both of them.

(PS: I have read only till ACOWAR so if I'm missing something after that, yeahhhh)

Friendly Reminder

Rhysand, in order to prove his cruelty and this loyalty, is known to some pretty guttering stuff. I wonder who did Amarantha order to cut off that faerie's wings in ACOTAR. Illyrian bat baby. Wings. EVEN IF HE HADN'T BEEN THE ONE TO CUT THEM OFF CAN YOU EVEN IMAGINE HOW IT WOULD HAVE FELT TO EVEN HEAR THE FAERIE. IM DYING

sooo there are some STRONG opinions on a whole lotta characters from what I've observed (on Tumblr atleast) in acotar. I wanna share my two cents on tamlin vs rhysand first

ohh boy. tamlin definitely had a character assassination after the first book.

let's understand the 'caging feyre for her "protection"' thing. now, was tamlin right in doing this? FUCK no. feyre has always been a fighter, not standing on the sidelines, and the way tamlin didn't include her in whatever work made my blood BOIL.

paralleling Rhys; there were so so many instances where he, too, was overprotective over feyre. the thing is, I think his character was somewhat redeemed after the end of the last book. that conversation with Nesta was amazing, then the whole thing with supplying decor and whatnot for the ceremony---that's great

also the amount that Rhys hates tamlin is crazy?? tamlin was the reason he was still alive, although that was for feyre and her 'happiness', as he called it, but he didn't have to

now, tamlin; he definitely got consequences for his actions too.. but like, way too many consequences. he definitely fucked up siding with the king of hybern and in turn making feyre's sisters convert to high fae, but he still betrayed hybern in the war, and also while protecting feyre when she went to rescue elain. like, that should have earned him a lot more sympathy than it did in the books

a thing; I see people using the 'when tamlin went after feyre under the mountain, he tried to hook up with her instead of trying to run away' as a way to saw how tamlin didn't really love her? or something, and to that I'm like. WHAT. amarantha would have obviously realised, and the whole POINT of tamlin ignoring feyre while she did the challenges or whatever was to feign no interest to amarantha. if they would have been caught, tamlin's whole plan would have been for waste.

butttttt I will say this: during the discussion of the high lords before the attack, when tamlin barged in, he was way too aggressive and insulted feyre and NUH UH, HOW DARE YOU???

but that's the thing; tamlin did bad things and he got his consequences, courtesy of feyre herself. but in the end, tamlin lost everything (maybe not Lucien?) and I don't think that was fair

ah well. I don't think I'll be able to formulate a direct opinion whether I'm anti-tamlin or anti-rhys, and I think that is the most beautiful part of the whole story; why? because it shows everyone is flawed in their own way, and when they make mistakes, consequences come.

So I just finished reading the ACTOAR series(super late I know) but I'm absolutely in love with this series 😭

I know I just started writing for Fourth Wing but maybe writing some ACTOAR fics can help with the ACTOAR hangover??? Let me know if that's something y'all want to see :)

Like we know they have the tribal tattoos and Rhys has the mating ones and the ones on his knees

But I KNOW she’s keeping Azriel’s thigh and waist tattoos from me!

In ACOTAR there are all those “strained leathers”

Do you think the leathers squeak?

Like everything is quiet and then there’s a tense sexual moment followed by a squeak?

I NEED a Downton Abbey/ Office style Tv show of the Spring Court estate before UTM/ when Rhys and Tamlin were buddies. It would be all of the servants and household staff gossiping about the two lordlings and how ✨close✨ they are

Scenes from ACOTAR I wish I could read:

- Nesta’s POV as Feyre was being taken and how she went after her.

- Tamlin’s POV when he said Feyre’s hair was clean (He must have been panicking)

-Lucien’s POV when Tamlin attempted to compliment Feyre

- Literally any of the Staff’s POV from when Feyre was “sneakily” sneaking out of the castle

- Rhys’s POV from when he met Feyre for the first time

- Rhys’s POV of when Feyre took down the Wyrm

- Rhys’s POV from when Feyre died

- Rhys’s POV when finding out Feyre was his mate (from UTM all the way through seeing the IC for the first time in 50 yrs)

Just thinking about how when the bat boys were teenagers they were sneaking wine while Rhys’s mom was out of town and they spilled it on the couch and freaked out so hard they threw all of their magic into trying to get rid of the stain just to end up permanently preserving the wine stain on the couch

The best part about the bat boys being outrageously old is that I’ll never grow older than them. It’s not like they are 25 and I’ll eventually have to stop crushing on them cause I’ll be too old. No. I will be 70 and still be young to them. There would still be a chance… you know… if they weren’t fictional

RHYS IS 538 YEARS OLD!!!!!

Do you even know how old that is?

My dude is older than America. America is 248. Colombus (that stupid f*ck) “sailed the ocean blue in 1492” (532 years ago)

He could have been born at the beginning of the rise of Roman Empire and seen in fallen (google says the Roman Empire lasted 500 years. I’m just parroting google)

And that goes for all the other bat boys too!

If they were here (on our timeline) they would have been born in 1486!!!!!!!!!

Bone Carver theory:

In the books Feyre, Rhys, and Cassian each have an encounter with the bone carver.

- Feyre sees him as her future son (But, later says that the bone carver didn’t appear to her with wings)

- Rhysand sees him as Jurian

- We don’t know how Cassian sees him

I think that the bone carver appears as a person with a secret that you don’t know until it’s too late.

- Nyx’s secret was his wings, which Feyre didn’t know could kill her until late in her pregnancy

- and Jurian’s secret was that he was never allied with the king. Which could have been extremely helpful to the Night court in the war, had Rhys looked into his mind.

Reminder:

Almost all the characters in the ACOTAR series are supposed to look like they are in their early to late 20s. They are immortal fae and I decided on this fancast because the actors need to look like they are in this age range for a number of years. I know this wouldn’t be everyone choice and a lot of people would love to see actors like Henry Cavill or Jason Momoa (trust me, I would too), but I wanted to keep the fancast more realistic towards the books.

(I don’t know why I’m saying all this like it’s a real casting, this is a fancasting. But istg if they make Jacob Elordi or Timothee Chalamet Rhysand, I’ll riot)

When I think of the casting for the upcoming ACOTAR TV show, Danielle Rose Russell is the first to come to mind. Danielle is perfect for the role of Feyre. She carried the Legacies TV show with her main character energy and has proven she has the attitude and talent to play our favorite huntress. Just picture her hunting in the woods, tracking down the Suriel, or fighting UTM.
