Imagine a scenario where Yuu is a changeling from their world, who was taken from their family and raised by a kind Fae mother who taught them everything she knows. A Yuu who now has a lot of physical resemblance to a Fae to the point they could be mistaken for a full Fae.
Now imagine Yuu arriving and malleus, Lilia and Crowley mistaking Yuu as a baby Fae due to their human age.
Malleus would probably be confused and probably a bit protective in an instinctual manner, expressing his concern in subtle ways such as inviting them to walk with him often so they don’t feel alone and perhaps giving advice on how to avoid Lilia’s cooking.
Lilia, as a father, probably goes into parental mode instantly. He already had the adoption papers prepared. Probably tricks you into signing them then takes you on ‘family bonding trips’ with him and silver.
They probably assume that the mirror can’t judge you as your baby Fae magic is too unstable, so practically force Crowley to allow you to stay in diasomnia.
Will probably do another post on this idea later on.
𝘈𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳
In the mornings this monster shows off its beautiful looks. Hair whiter than freshly fallen snow, skin as pale as a frostbitten winter morning, a height that is model-ready, hair like wisps of breath in the cold, and body lanky like a dead tree’s branches. It stalks the street, admired by all who pass it. No one knows the difference, that the model they all admire and respect is a monster, without a doubt.
At night the truth comes out. In the dark corners of the streets, a figure can be seen.
Woman, man, child, adult, human, animal, or monster.
You can't tell. All you can see is the corpse of Mr. Magna, the runner-up in last week’s election for mayor.
During the day she can be found acting like a normal person one who cries, one who sympathizes, one who has nothing to hide. But behind that mask is the truth of this deadly beauty.
He has no form. She has no name. They are no one. It had no identity.
But this changeling has evolved. It talks about your past together. It acts as if it knows you. Have they recently been replaced or has this thing always been your friend?
It doesn't matter now. Because everyone around you seems to know and they are okay with it. It follows after you, watching you. You have to accept it.
He is your beloved childhood friend.
I’m kinda wanting to post more often. Maybe trying to draw everyday? Anyways here are my two dnd characters I have. I always love roleplaying and love playing tabletop rpgs with friends even more. The second character’s name is Sora Mokulele.

Reblogging because the changeling post is what originally inspired me character design-wise for creating one of my fancharacters with Asperger’s syndrome and I’m just happy I finally found it again.

Eh estado pensando en esto por un tiempo asi que aqui me tienen escribiendo una publicación sobre headcannons y universos alternativos de troll hunters empezare por los headcannons no se sorprendan si la mayoria son sobre strickler
HEADCANNONS
1-strickler puede llegar a ser una persona socialmente torpe se ha pasado la mayoria de su vida mintiendo y engañando sin crear ninguna amistad verdadera entonces cuando finalmente intenta tener amistades reales puede llegar a tropezar con sus palabras o divagar sobre algun u otro hecho historico Inexacto
2- los profesores de Arcadia oaks son amigos realmente me gusta la idea asi que si. Uno de mis headcannons es que Strickler, Coach Lawrence, Señor Uhl y lenora Janeth son amigos aunque probablemente strickler no admitira en voz alta que los considera sus amigos
3- la primera vez que el corazón de Walter empezo a latir mas rapido por Barbara este creyo que se estaba muriendo
4- a strickler le gusta el rock británico por lo cual tiene en su departamento discos de vinilo de Queen, The Beatles, The Rolling Stone y Pink Floyd
5- siguiendo el tema de lo británico strickler ama su acento británico y se niega a perderlo, esto empeoro luego de que Barbara le dijiera que le gustaba su acento
6- si bien strickler ama los libros sobre historia tiene una gran colección de libros de misterio, fantasia y ciencia ficción y se ha leido toda la colección de Percy Jackson
7- nomura, otto y strickler solían ser enviados juntos a misiones bastante seguido de alguna manera se las arreglaron para trabajar bien como equipo también se las arreglaron para que muchos de los autos de strickler termimaran cayendo por acantilados
8- existe una piedra que puede convertir a los cambiantes en humanos aunque estos seguiran siendo algo mejores que un humano normal con esto me refiero a que siguen teniendo mejores reflejos son algo mas rapidos que un humano normal pero ya no tan rapidos como un troll y considerablemente mas fuertes que un humana normal este headcannon en especifico fue hecho para respaldar al headcannon numero 9
9- a Coach Lawrence le gusta que sus compañeros de trabajo esten en forma por lo cual durante las vacaciones de verano a veces los lleva al gimnasio de la escuela y les hace hacer los mismos ejercicios que a los estudientes Walter solia evitar esto argumentando que ya estaba muy viejo pero desde que se revelo que es un cambiante, Lawrence le obliga a hacer el doble que a Uhl y miss Janeth. Se que este no tiene mucho sentido pero la idea aparecio en mi mente y no pude evitar reirme de esto
11- las pupilas de strickler pueden dilatarse como las de un gato esto también le puede suceder en su forma humana entonces un dia barbara vio a strickler quien tenia su pupilas dilatas y creyo que este estaba drogado
Universos alternativos
1- strickler es un mago pero su magia solo despierta cuando esta cerca de la armadura del trollhunter por primera vez luego de eso vienen muchas situaciones caoticas hasta que se topa por accidente con jim y toby y se ve atrapado en todo el asunto de que su alumno favorito es el trollhunter
2- DID strickler si pense en este AU en el que strickler tiene un transtorno de personalidad dissociativo asi que mientras un alter es Walter quien es el humano y profesor de historia el otro es stricklander quien es el troll, Walter realmente esta enamorado de barbara de un principio y stricklander esta decidido a matar a jim asi que ambos suelen pelear bastante seguido por el control Walter sabiendo de la existencia de los trolls pero siendo totalmente ajeno a lo que esta haciendo stricklander aun asi cuando se entera de que stricklander planea matar a jim este trata de impedirlo lo que lo lleva a sufrir constantes dolores de cabeza y a tener peleas constantes por el control del cuerpo (Gaggeltacks también obligan a stricklander a tomar control del cuerpo)
3- este esta fuertemente influenciado por un fanart de Daredevil asi que strickler es ciego su ceguera fue causada por bular luego de que strickler fallara en una mision pero gracias a que es un cambiante su ceguera no le afecta mucho ademas del ambito de no poder leer aun asi da clases de historia con normalidad dejo de serle leal a bular luego de que este lo ceguera asi que no esta interesado en abrir el puente de killahead sigue perteneciendo a la orden de janus pero eso solo es debido a que prefiere no morir, cuando se entera de que jim es el trollhunter decide unirse a el siendo consciente de que de esa manera existen mas posibilidades de que los cambiantes sean aceptados, tambien se enamora de barbara
4- básicamente este es en pocas palabras un au de esos en que los niños son adultos y los adultos son niños y a continuación explicare con quien cambia lugar cada personaje jim cambia de lugar con strickler asi que jim es un cambiante y strickler es el trollhunter, barbara cambia de lugar con claire asi que barbara toma el lugar de claire en la serie pero no claire no sera la madre strickler porque para empezar en este AU strickler es huérfano, coach Lawrence cambia de lugar con toby pense en que otto cambiara de lugar con toby pero siento que otto seria igual de leal que peter Pettigrew a los potter asi que lawrence es el mejor amigo de strickler, eli pepperjack cambia de lugar con lenora janeth, Señor Uhl cambia de lugar con steve pero no puedo imaginarme a ninguno de los profesores siendo un maton asi que no habra bully por ahora

💫Metamorphosis of a Soul: Races💫
First OC infodump whooo!! Metamorphosis of a Soul (or MOAS for convenience), is an upcoming comic based off my old AU (if you know you know). The story follows two brothers, who accidentally stumble upon a city of monsters and are now cursed to become monsters themselves. It’s a series with lots of diverse characters, inspired by mythology and cryptozoology, so it’s only fair that’s the first post I make about it describes all sorts of creatures in this made up universe.
Quick word about humans and monsters because there’s not much I can say here. They used to live in peace, until one day a war broke, and, when humans came out victorious, monsters fled, cursing every human that dares to come to their lands. Both humans and monsters have souls (as everyone does in this universe, as you may have guessed from the title) that look like orange flame. Monsters are naturally gifted with magic, and their souls (and, by proxy, their bodies) have little to no reaction from being exposed to it. On the other hand, humans are not born with magic skills (just like in our world), and even though they can study magic, and use spells and potions - exposing a human to too much magic can lead to causalities. Speaking of…
Changeling in MOAS universe is an umbrella term used to describe either fairie/monster kids/teens disguised as humans with illusion magic, or humans kids/teens, transformed into monster-like creatures due to some magic incident. Humans can only become changelings in their early life, while their bodies are still developing, and thus, can be reformed by magic - adults usually don’t survive such accidents and, instead of transforming into monsters, die.
While changelings are usually cursed human kids - shapeshifters in MOAS universe are usually cursed monster kids. Instead of losing their humanity, they lose their whole identity - all shapeshifters look the same and can only copy the appearances of others, making it hard for them to go back to living a normal life. Some higher class shapeshifters can get actor jobs or pay some witch to revert the transformation - but the majority of shapeshifters, who are lower class, usually become thieves just to make the ends meet. This makes shapeshifters hated and oppressed by all groups, even ones that claim to be a safe space for everyone
Last but certainly not least - ghosts - monsters&humans, who were poisoned by a deadly potion. Their souls resemble a candle’s smoke, and can be blown off just as easily, which would get rid of the ghost for good. However, many scientists experiment with ghosts, trying to make their form more stable, in hopes of achieving immortality one day. But, despite all efforts, the results are anything but stable - the ghost can possess objects, but will eventually suffer full memory loss; or it can possess a living being, but eventually the body will start to rot
Another thing people experiment with are homunculi - artificially created humans and monsters. It is usually practiced by couples who can’t have a baby due to medical (infertility) or physical incompatibility (interspecies/interracial relationships) reasons, but still want to have a biological child - which, homunculi are, since their creations requires samples of both parents (usually stuff like hair/teeth/nails + bones/fleshy body parts). The result will look like a horrendous skeleton-like amalgamation BUT it can be reshaped into something that looks just like regular humans/monsters and be raised accordingly. Homunculi have souls that look like blue flame, and are even more sensitive to magic than regular humans - so keep an eye on your baby if you don’t want anything bad to happen to them.

Changeling/Pegasus Axl Design Idea
I will probably do some more characters as ponies and such once I think of some designs.
(sorry i'm a different alter that forgets tings within 0.1 s) Not sure how much of this is aplicable to you as a fae changeling; but have you ever wondered: What would happen if the human infant were to be randomly be switched back in by your fae ancestors? What if like me; you are more ok as the opposite human glimmer sex and transition the glimmer and then switch back out for the original human infant? (or any equivalent) We generally as fae lack common human empathy but it's still entertaining to ponder the concept of "what if" the human infant were to return to whatever we did to the glimmer perception of them. Sorry if this makes little sense i'm fronting as an alter we aren't usually and i can't formulate things as well as the others.
I think this is a really interesting thing to ponder. I’ve never wondered this before. I don’t actually know if I can even answer this at the moment since I am currently severely lacking in the empathy department. I will try to give a better response when I have thought more about it.
I intend to modify my glamour quite a bit, so the idea of the human being swapped back in is very entertaining to me. They would surely be surprised at the very least.

Inspired by a post by @/wilczak I’ve been thinking a lot about my own desire to have a pet snake.
For nearly all my life I’ve wanted to keep snakes. I had garter snakes for several years before rehoming them when I went to high school and became busier. I’ve always felt a kinship with them. Even before I knew what I was, I knew snakes were my kind.
It took me a long time to realize I was a snake. I knew I was a changeling since I was very young, however the realization that I was a snake took longer to come. I couldn’t see beyond the veil for a long time and only sensed fragments of my true form. Once I realized I was a snake, my attachment to them made so much more sense.
We’re not a social species by any means, however I’ve always wanted to keep snakes because we’re the same. We understand each other in a fundamental way. Largely we’re uninterested in each other, but there’s a sense of camaraderie in shared species-ship.
I love learning about my kind, and the idea of taking care of another sounds very rewarding to me. We are brethren.
funny that I’ve always been attracted to mythology, and my favorite stories/deities have always been ones of transformation and shapeshifting. makes sense now that I know I am a shapeshifter lol
Wondering if other fae (or fae adjacent) can relate to this notion: we don’t seem to be social creatures. Maybe this has more to do with my particular clade, but from what I’ve observed and heard us fae don’t seem to be terribly social.
I have one companion who I seriously talk to and many more friends (I suppose they would be called) who I interact with by observing. I engage with people, but it’s always through this veil of humanity. I never interact as my real self. And I don’t really feel the need to.
I have a theory that changelings don’t require the companionship of humans since we’re something else, but that we might enjoy it since we have to blend in to some extent. However I only have my own experience to go off of, so I can’t ever be certain that this applies to others.
I’m not sure if this is purely due to the fact that I’m a changeling or if other types of fae experience this or if it’s simply my personality. Regardless of the reason, I am quite content alone. I enjoy being around people and observing as a way of entertaining myself, but I don’t seem to have the same social needs as the humans I’m surrounded by.

Honestly all versions of Morph/Changeling are really interesting i hope we can get more canon of him in any of the universes
I think it’s very interesting, as I kinda mentioned in my last post, that Changeling seems to be much older than his AU counterparts. When we seem him as Changeling and once out of uniform, he seems to be at least Xavier’s age or older:
TAS series Morph sometimes looks older:
Probably because they were modeled off Changeling, but the animation isn’t consistent, and they sometimes look younger:
TAS Morph’s voice and overall personality also seem younger, and Wolverine calls them “kid” a couple of times, so I generally assume that they are supposed to be somewhere vaguely in their twenties like most of the other adult X-Men.
AoA Morph doesn’t have a clear age, although the characters acknowledge that he was previously Changeling. And Exiles Morph gets his age retconned all the way back to being a teenager alongside the New Mutants:
Given that we have AU’s where Avalanche and Toad are teenagers named Lance Alvers and Todd Tolensky, and we have a hilariously young Sebastian Shaw in the X-Campus universe, it’s not unheard of for alternate universe counterparts to have wildly different ages. 616 Changeling might just be the Kevin Sidney whose parents had him earlier.
But I have a kind of wild idea (not even really a headcanon), that maybe Changeling was, like the original idea for Mr. Sinister, a young shape-shifter pretending to be much older. Like he was playing-acting as a super-villain. It would also explain why he turned heroic so quickly, if he was basically a teenager going through a villain phase. Changeling put on a goofy purple helmet and joined a terrorist group the same way other teens listen to MCR and put on lots of eyeliner. It would also be completely on-brand for Xavier to read all that in Changeling’s mind, and be like, “Well, we don’t have time to unpack all that. Get in the chair and pretend to be me, I’ll be in the basement.”

This is an official Thorax appreciation post because he is SUCH a little guy!!!
I love to see his character growth. He truly was just a selfless changeling who wanted friends. And he learned how to make them, and inspired the rest of his colony. Not only that, but we also get to see him grow as leader of changelings and his friendship with spike develops and I think it’s so wonderful how many details we get about his character.
In case you’re having a rough Thanksgiving here’s a really shitty drawing I made on some random art program I found on Safari. I haven’t drawn mlp fanart since I was like 5 so I’m still trying to figure it out 💀
The one and only King Thorax of the Changelings! You have no idea how hard the obsession with him went when I was a kid… The Times they are a Changeling was my all-time favorite episode so I literally sketched out of the scenes in my notebook with little squiggly lines instead of dialogue (a few photos from said notebook under cut in case you don’t believe me)
Even as a kid I would always draw Thorax with heart-shaped glimmers in his eyes. I don’t really know why. For some reason it changed from blue pen to pencil after Thorax revealed he was a Changeling and ran away 🤔
I also sucked at art back then if you couldn’t tell. Sometimes I look at my old stuff and feel so proud of how far I’ve come. These drawings are from over a decade ago but even the difference between my art today and my art a year ago is crazy. Never give up because improvement will always catch up to you 🫶
