The Date a Cryptid Project has been approved!!!

I'm really excited to work on this game! I will try my best to post and notify you all when something's happening!

In the mean time I can give you some info about what the game will be about:

* the game will be PG-13 and it's for an assignment so there will be will be no gore, suggestive or explicit material

* the game will be some what of a parody of dating simulators but don't worry you still can romance your monsters ❤

* there are four planned routes but hopefully I will be able to add more after the demo.

*the demo will come out near the end of feburary so keep your eyes peeled

When your own your 7th+ playthrough of a game and just start making choices for the drama.... I started playing Our Life because... I was going through a rough time and I realized vns put a bit of spark back.

How I ended up with Our Life I can’t say with certainty but I do know it felt like fate.

I was really suffering through an identity crisis and being able to make choices that sounded like me and didn’t change the story drastically it was more for the experience than progressing forward.

I was able to find myself and truly embrace who I am. So even if it was just a game to be accepted for who I was with no pushback. It was something I desperately needed at the time.

So I want to thank Our Life, especially Cove, for getting me through that. As well as fully igniting a burning flame that even set ablaze my creativity that had been nothing more than a dying ember at that point lol

I am so grateful that I plan to get that ocean water sleeve tattoo!

So thank you GBPatch please don’t stop making games I will follow your progress even if the games take new paths you have a loyal follower!

I like when Mc is the li sanctuary. Like this is my happiest most calm but could also make the li more volatile in the right circumstances.

But but but the mc feels the same way, it doesn’t have to be the same intensity (I love if it would) just like you can actually feel it?

Like characters can say it but I want the player would actually feel it if that makes sense?

If that wasnt what you meant then uh

Patient? Or uh understanding? Even if it’s just for the Mc, like they want to hear and truly comprehend what’s being said to them. But like it was an actual choice made by the player not a previous conversation before the game.

If I’m still wrong my reading comprehension skills need work lmaoooo xDD at least I’m aware of it

This is to the same tune of Arabella's colour being light pink, but MC's colour is definitely pastel blue in my head. Yes I know there are canon characters with blue as their thing, but pastel blue on MC looks so good! Sure, I permit the occasional divergence kinda like how Arabella can go for simple black and white and still work. Pastel blue just translates to MC for me.

A RETURN TO IKEBUKURO…

It was another day like any other until a young woman learned that her boss had planned a job transfer for her. Her destination? A city in Tokyo, Japan by the name of Ikebukuro.  The city had been blessed with five years of normalcy,  which made more tourists visit.  Her best friend, Arabella Faraldo, was excited to visit such a grand city so she insisted on joining the young journalist on her journey.  Unbeknownst to them, two famous figures known by its occupants through causing destruction have returned to the city.  With a new gang on the rise,  an unhinged informant with a “love” for humanity, supernatural entities and flying vending machines, the young woman’s new job is the least of her worries as a new Ikebukurian!

DURARARA!! BELONGS TO RYOHGO NARITA, SO PLEASE READ OR WATCH THE SERIES FIRST BEFORE PLAYING THIS GAME!

Here’s a few screenshots of “Ikebukuro Records”, a Durarara!! dating sim fan game. Thank you to my two lovely artists, (digital artist) mr_glassesarts and (sketch artist and co-writer) MockNerd!

This takes place 7 years after the Final Curtain arc, so some characters may look a bit different (Izaya being one of them). 

Now obviously the player can input their name, I just put “Player Name” to let the players decide what MC’s name would be. So they don’t need to worry about a set one. 

The bachelors available in the game are: Shizuo, Masaomi, and Izaya. 

There’s 3 endings in the demo, but there will be 22 endings in the final game. The demo will have days 1-10 (routes start on day 8), while the amount of days for the full game is TBD. As of now, there are 14 characters from the series, though more will be added in the final game. 

So many that I kinda want to pimp slap myself for being such a workaholic. I love programming this game but sometimes I feel like I’m losing my mind.

Some characters from the series will only be seen in certain routes or simply mentioned. 

The demo will be posted on Game Jolt and Itch.io. So far day 2 for Shizuo and Masaomi are finished programming wise, just need the art for ‘em.

talking to my friend rn just PICTURE IT... her still enlisting ikki's help, and them pretending to date to make toma jealous... ikki being like toma should be more honest with himself! he's practically shaking with jealousy! and the heroine not quite believing it or at least, wanting to hear it from toma's mouth...

the fanclub could even be in on it since the heroine quickly forgives rika and starts to become friends with her (LXC). they wouldn't believe her at first, but game recognizes game. rika of all people is freaked out by diamond world mc's indifference. that says it all

TOMA: This fanclub thing is getting intense, haha... How 'bout you stay at my place for a bit? Just for a bit? MC: ummm... I dunno... I think I'll ask Ikki. Maybe I should stay with him instead? TOMA: NO! I mean, uh, haven't you just started dating? He's a total player! I have to take care of you know! Come on, just stay over until this blows over! Like when we were kids! MC: ^_^ (mentally pumping her fist in the air) Oh... well... If you say so, Toma! Let's go! Right now!! LATER: Orion's like you got a text! It's from Ikki! responding to the debrief you texted him when Toma was out of sight, and it's just in capital letters "ALL THAT AND HE STILL HASN'T CONFESSED?"

i'll never forgive them for not following up on this offer in LXC because i was having such an "i'm over it" reaction every time toma went all woe is me mode, so sorry for putting you in a dog cage and not letting you leave the house aka leave me, and the mc was like it's not a big deal! GIRL IT IS A BIG DEAL LET HIM GROVEL FOR YOUR AFFECTION IF NOT GENERAL AMUSEMENT

it's fine that the MC is a freak. especially for toma like it truly makes it better. but MAKE HER MATCH HIS FREAK... i'm not even trashing the yandere stereotype right now. if you have a man that is willing to do ANYTHING. ANYTHINGGGG to keep the heroine in his sight, to not break up with her... well. let's just say he should be on his knees at least once. the heroine would be right to make him kneel okay... the yandere trope goes both ways...
