Hello,

My name is CJ and I’m a trans man. I grew up in a small town in North Carolina and I still live there today. My dad is a Chilean immigrant and he came to this country when he was only 8, spending most of his life in the beautiful land of Puerto Rico. My mom grew up in Florida (where I was born) and has mainly Irish ancestry. I have two older brothers, both in college. One attends Juilliard, the other UNCC. Most of my friends are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. I also have friends who are children of immigrants, just like me.

When I was born, it was induced by medication and I was born 8 weeks early due to a disease my mom had contracted while pregnant with me. We both survived thanks to the doctors and nurses who helped my mom deliver me safely. Due to my premature birth, I have struggled my whole life with chronic illness and disability.

I am telling you all of this because I am scared. Tomorrow is November 5th, Election Day, and depending on who wins I may be in serious danger.

Please, for the sake of me, my friends, my family, the trans community, the chronically ill, the disabled community, immigrants, immigrant families, women who need access to healthcare, and EVERY. SINGLE. American citizen…

💙VOTE BLUE💙

I don’t want my rights to be taken from me.

Chuds on twitter getting mad about Joe Biden stepping down because it "betrays the democratic voters" is a prime example of how reactionary the right is.

Republicans have been degrading, and systematically trying to prevent democrats from voting for YEARS, and now they suddenly care about the rights of democrat voters? I call BS

This is a prime example of moving the goal post. They always have to be mad about something. They can't just let him step down peacefully (as they and everyone else have been pleading him to), it has to be twisted into some moral failing on him and the democrats.

THE LETTER (by joud abu rashed)

image

Words: A single distinct meaningful element of speech or writing, used with others (or sometimes alone) to form a sentence and typically shown with a space on either side when written or printed. Words are a way to express one’s self, they show emotion, they might hurt someone, end relationships, start wars, they can be used as a weapon, since words are an important factor of both freedom and democracy, but most importantly words impact people, either negatively or positively depending on the situation. the war has ended a year ago marking a new age of democracy, it started since poverty was spreading like an illness due to the evils of monarchy so naturally the people protested their rights using their words but they weren’t heard the government was deaf to their pleas so a war eventually broke out in order to gain justice. Chaos and confusion that’s was how I lived after all I was a child an orphan who lost both parents and any sense of peace or security I ever had. I was lost, starving, with no will to live in this cruel world. Along with the bloodshed, something happened or rather someone came and rescued me.

His name was Ashton Arlert, He was a kind man with a heart of gold. He took me in, provided me with every necessity. He taught me how to read and write, how to use a gun and protect myself just in case I find myself in a difficult position, but most importantly he gave me a will, a will to live. After years of suffering the war ended which lead me to decide to live a normal life, so I moved out to pursue my own career as a ghostwriter in a small company. You see after the war there was a huge decrease in people who knew how to write, which meant ghostwriters (especially for letters) became widely popular. My job required me to listen to people, to observe and analyze their emotions then find the right words that fit the message they want to present. I had my own life, friends, responsibilities, etc  yet Ashton never left my mind, he was like a father to me and I never showed him how much I appreciated what he had done towards me so I decided to write a letter to him. I was a professional writer with tons of experience yet I struggled with it (ironic isn’t it). For days and days all I would do is stare at an empty piece of paper with a cramped hand longing for words. Needless to say I was frustrated. I wrote and I wrote as if I was running out of time but nothing, just nothing. Everything I wrote would soon become another crumpled piece of paper in the trash, till one day while the smell of my morning coffee was mixing with the smell of ink coming from my pen I suddenly found the words that I longed for. I ran to the post office with the feeling of  relief in my lungs and a hint of excitement in my eyes. It was a quite night when he received the wax sealed letter, he looked at the handwriting a sense of nostalgia flooded him. He held it with his wrinkled hands as he read it with tears flooding his ocean blue eyes. The letter simply said “Thank you, Ashton, for everything. Sincerely Nadia” A simple phrase that’s all it took to bring a grown man to tears.

THINGS TO REMEMBER:

(please for the love of everything correct me if I made a mistake, I'd like to help the cause as opposed to hurting it)

Left or Right - they're both wings on the same bird. Even if we all show up to turn the ballots individually it won't do much of anything because capitalism exist on both the left and right and all three(3) pray on our downfall to exploit us.

THAT BEING SAID it's still a VERY good idea to vote anyways. YOUR VOICE MATTERS. USE IT.

Proletarians - this is Us. We want the downfall of fascism and it pillars: CAPITALISM, racism, authoritarianism, national chauvinism, the reactionary and conservatory mobilization of the people against each other/the revolutionary movement of the proletariat

Capitalism works to feed off of our disagreements and our disarrangement. We have to pull our actions and base them on the historical interests of the working class.

Defending modern 'democracy' obscures the working class's conscienceless, this negatively affects the combativity of our goal.

Neo-liberalism adds to poverty, decline and unproductivity in the labor force and the deterioration of income distribution: source- Zambia Social Forum Statement

an anime-style illustration of a femme eating pastries at a table. a cat is standing on the table and is speaking. all the following images are the same except for the text. “at the elections, capitalism always wins.”
History shows that before fascism rises to power, there is a period of defeat and demoralisation first that prepares it: periods of failure and retreat for the workers' movement, in which the left reformist parties then moved to the camp of the bourgeoisie, where they played a leading role.
By demoralizing the proletariat and drawing it away from its revolutionary path and instead into efforts to improve capitalism, the reformist leftists pave the way for the workers' defeat and the rise of fascism.
The struggles conducted on the terrain of anti-fascism have been revealed to be incapable of opposing their designated enemy. The role of "popular fronts" has always been to drag the proletariat into the maelstrom of global imperialist war.
Left parties have often fulfilled a crucial function for capitalism by supporting the existing regime in the name of the immediate need to defend democracy, all while the conditions for fascism and world war come into focus. When leftists are zealously defending "democracy" under capitalism, they are thus obscuring the consciousness of the workers and hindering their combativity.
Let's raise the alarm against the error of supporting one side of capitalism (that of "democracy") against another (that of "authoritarianism”) in the name of anti-fascism. Capitalism is inseparable from state authoritarianism, racism, militarism, national chauvinism, and the reactionary and conservative mobilization of the people against each other and the revolutionary movement of the proletariat.
All the parties which claim today to mitigate the effects of this multifaceted crisis will tomorrow be forced to become its instruments. In so doing they will contribute to the polarisation of the attention of the working class towards an impasse, precisely when the situation requires them to regain confidence in their own strength in their struggle to defend their living conditions.
The experience of our class shows that the attacks of capitalism cannot be pushed back through theballot. All governments, however absolute, are nothing but the executors of the needs of capitalism in the situation in which it finds itself, and of its economic needs in particular. Contrary to electoral agitation, revolutionaries must base their actions on the collective and historical interests of the working class.
By turning up at the ballot boxes as individual citizens, proletarians will have already lost the class coherence which can only be experienced within the real movement to oppose capitalism, and in the revolutionary organisations which intervene to guide the struggle.
Proletarians, let's reject all this, because we know that these elections will change nothing for us and will serve to revive their system! Let's not vote for our enemies, whether on the left or the right, because they are all preparing our exploitation!

I’m working through Democracy Awakening by Heather Cox Richardson and I am crying. The absolute injustice that has occurred in America in the last several decades. I knew it was bad, but I didn’t realize the cheating in government had been going on for as long as it has. The lack of fairness in government is alarming. I was definitely the kid who cried when things weren’t fair (I understand equity vs equality, and sorta did when I was a kid). I am appalled and angry that some politicians have spend years changing the rules on everyone and cheating.

But anyway, it’s such an amazing book and I wish it could be school curriculum but it won’t ever be until Republicans aren’t able to mess with school curriculum. It airs way too many of their dirty (not so) secrets.

A message to everyone who is against Trump in the U.S,; don't give up.

I understand that statement may seem cliche and useless to many people. But everyone needs to understand the significance it holds.

I am heartbroken about the election results in the United States. But I will not stress how important it is to stay strong, and not give up on our democracy. I won't tell you it's not terrifying.

But we can't stop fighting for the rights of ourselves and others. No matter how hopeless it may seem at the moment, we must work together to maintain democracy in America.

If you feel like it's not worth it to keep trying, think of the genocide against the Palestinians, which will only reach new extremes under Trump's presidency (he has said he wants Netanyahu to be even more aggressive and tough on Palestine than he already is being—sit with that for a moment.) the transgender people who won't receive the affirming care they deserve, the people of color who now have nearly no protections against racism and police brutality, the children who won't have access to the education they need, who won't be protected against rapists and gun violence, the people who will not be able to get abortions no matter how dire their situations are, the legal and illegal immigrants who will be deported, the Ukrainians who will now longer have protection from America against the Russian invasion in their country. And there is so much more, so much more that we won't even see coming.

However, we can still do things to make a difference. Go to protests, educate yourself and others, donate to Palestinians/charities that help Palestinians and other people in need, volunteer at organizations that help women travel to different states to have legal safe abortions, flood your congressmen, representatives, mayors, governors, anyone in our government, with letters and complaints.

Use your voice! Remember, you have free speech no matter how much you are made to feel like you don't.

Now is not the time to worry about hurting anyone's feelings or being annoying. Be a bother. Force everyone who is using their power to ignore you and your rights to notice you.

Don't be scared to aggressive as you fight against the fascism that threatens our country. We cannot and will not allow this nation to slip further into hate, homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, white supremacy, xenophobia, misogyny, and anti immigrant ideology any more than it already has.

We cannot afford to be selfish or weak. Even if your state has voted to add protections for women and trans people in their state constitutions, doesn't mean you're safe. Do you think Trump won't do everything he can do outlaw these rights everywhere eventually? Fight and keep fighting. For everyone.

This may seem dramatic to some. I've heard the argument "Trump won't follow through. He's not being serious. He won't actually try to become a dictator", several times. Wake up! He has presented these intentions time and time again. Take his words at face value. He will strip people of their rights, especially if we actively chose to ignore his clearly communicated intentions. Do not think he won't do everything in his power to pass Project 2025 and other hateful, controlling, unconstitutional policies.

Believe it. But also believe in hope. It's easy to feel alone during this time. Remember, however, that there are millions of people behind you, and we can keep it that way if we remind ourselves and each other that we are fighting together and we will not give in.

No matter what, do not give up on our country and every single citizen that still needs our protection and support.

I need to get this off my chest..... I’m sorry if I offend anyone in general or a group in general, but I feel I need to say this without trying to instigate anything between anyone. I see too much fighting and too much hate coming from a bunch of sides of the world who say that they aren’t hating and trying to get their point across. Let me tell you something. You’re still spreading hate when you’re calling someone a hypocrite, calling someone stupid, calling someone an idiot, a baby, a bad person, etc. How is this spreading hate? The person who calls another person this dehumanizes them and pins the blame on them. Pointing fingers is considered toxic according articles that I have looked up online(and most that I have read are written by therapists who are licensed in their state). People are saying things before they even try to understand what the other person is going through or understand the other persons point. I also see when someone does take the time to apologize and go out of their way to try and make things right, they are still shamed because of what happened in the past. That is taking that persons ability away to try and be better. When someone makes an effort to say sorry they should able to improve after that without anyone shaming them for what they did in the past! Also, a person should not be getting death threats because life is a gift, even to the beholder. Telling them to go kill themselves or telling them that you are the person that is going to find them and kill them is saying that they are trash and that they should have never been born. I’m tired of seeing all this on tumblr and other sites. We should be able to accept one another and try to make an effort to get along. If we really want to be a nation united , or even a world united. we need to start acting like it and start showing each other respect.
