Painting without Intention
Painting I did Today. I love painting where I don't have any plans for it... A blank canvas. I don't plan the brushes, I don't plan the colours. I just make a quick choice in the moment and let the painting paint itself.

I have only been on Tumblr for a little bit, and I gotta say, something I love about the Tumblr experience is seeing very amateur fan content of everything (and I absolutely do not mean amateur as an insult).
It is such a raw expression of love for something, to be so passionate that you create in spite of how others might judge you. To create something that is so unabashedly "cringe" to others and still be so proud of it all the same. That is so powerful to me as someone with a low self-esteem who folds easily to social pressure. God speed you brave beautiful creative souls.
THE LETTER (by joud abu rashed)
Words: A single distinct meaningful element of speech or writing, used with others (or sometimes alone) to form a sentence and typically shown with a space on either side when written or printed. Words are a way to express one’s self, they show emotion, they might hurt someone, end relationships, start wars, they can be used as a weapon, since words are an important factor of both freedom and democracy, but most importantly words impact people, either negatively or positively depending on the situation. the war has ended a year ago marking a new age of democracy, it started since poverty was spreading like an illness due to the evils of monarchy so naturally the people protested their rights using their words but they weren’t heard the government was deaf to their pleas so a war eventually broke out in order to gain justice. Chaos and confusion that’s was how I lived after all I was a child an orphan who lost both parents and any sense of peace or security I ever had. I was lost, starving, with no will to live in this cruel world. Along with the bloodshed, something happened or rather someone came and rescued me.
His name was Ashton Arlert, He was a kind man with a heart of gold. He took me in, provided me with every necessity. He taught me how to read and write, how to use a gun and protect myself just in case I find myself in a difficult position, but most importantly he gave me a will, a will to live. After years of suffering the war ended which lead me to decide to live a normal life, so I moved out to pursue my own career as a ghostwriter in a small company. You see after the war there was a huge decrease in people who knew how to write, which meant ghostwriters (especially for letters) became widely popular. My job required me to listen to people, to observe and analyze their emotions then find the right words that fit the message they want to present. I had my own life, friends, responsibilities, etc yet Ashton never left my mind, he was like a father to me and I never showed him how much I appreciated what he had done towards me so I decided to write a letter to him. I was a professional writer with tons of experience yet I struggled with it (ironic isn’t it). For days and days all I would do is stare at an empty piece of paper with a cramped hand longing for words. Needless to say I was frustrated. I wrote and I wrote as if I was running out of time but nothing, just nothing. Everything I wrote would soon become another crumpled piece of paper in the trash, till one day while the smell of my morning coffee was mixing with the smell of ink coming from my pen I suddenly found the words that I longed for. I ran to the post office with the feeling of relief in my lungs and a hint of excitement in my eyes. It was a quite night when he received the wax sealed letter, he looked at the handwriting a sense of nostalgia flooded him. He held it with his wrinkled hands as he read it with tears flooding his ocean blue eyes. The letter simply said “Thank you, Ashton, for everything. Sincerely Nadia” A simple phrase that’s all it took to bring a grown man to tears.

The Puzzler Bunch- OC Art!
I drew this fun group in my sketchbook one day and decided to build a story around them. Their names are Harold (Harry), Alice and Marissa, they're 10 years old and are in their 5th year of primary school. They're known for their love of solving puzzles. Harry likes word puzzles, Alice, number and math puzzles and Marissa prefers mechanical (physical) puzzles.
Everyone calls them the Puzzler Bunch, but this name is pending. I think I can come up with something better.

"Being lazy is bad" nono pookie, see how i used USB sticks to elevate the bridge for a wooden miniature house??? I would have never done that if i glued it together PROPERLY instead of being lazy & gluing all the parts together at once. Lazyness is the source of invention! (<- me trying to justify doing rly scuffed shortcuts that will probably cause problems later on bc I'm being lazy)

What I done I wanted to do a anime type style and so I rip all bunch of poses, eyes, hairs, cloths, accessories, ect all separately and just combine them together into a character I want to represent fufu human form
At the moment it’s a bunch of lines and rough sketches with hundreds of lines jsut filled with different styles kinda like a Gacha character (I think I spell that correctly) where you can add pre made hair, eyes, clothes, poses,ect for your character and it’s kinda like that but anime style and me drawing it
With the eyes I already found a style I am found of but really like the color of it so I might make a orange and original (pink/redish) variation of the eyes
Fufu is my OC (the arctic fox not the Kitsune) made when I was 8 and still love to this day and opening up the door to my OC to the public to see

I want to read about characters I've created but the source material doesn't exist because of the lack of a proper story for the characters but I also don't want to write it but also want to write it so it exists and I can read about and it just repeats over and over.
I have become obsessed with characters that don't truely exists yet outside of my brain and have no way to remedy it.
Seems like the silliest question ever but every idea I have seems so unoriginal. Do you tips or exercises to get the creativity going?

Im getting the sense everyone's been hating their jobs recently, dont you?
some fun reasons:
Janus is shitty at citing sources that are reliable and up-to-date and no one listens to him cuz they think hes lying all the time
Logan's literally the voice of reason and hes not being listened to cuz feelings
Roman just gave up on his dream come true because
Patton is having a midlife crisis because his job just became a thousand times more difficult cuz Thomas is growing up
Remus well, most people still jsut dont like him, do they? and logan seems to be the only one (aside from maybe Janus because janus knows already) whos starting to see his role in helping Thomas
Virgil's fears and past grievances are stopping him from listening to the dark sides' points unbiased and openminded because they do make some DELICIOUS points
(gaining sentience is the biggest regret they all have, as so helpfully pointed out by Virgil in the review ep)
Fellas - TF2/Blender
Sudden burst of enthusiasm got me to make a new poster with concept which I've wanted to release some time ago. I thought that it would be really nice to take all my mercs loadouts from the game and turn them all into complete & separate characters (and put them together in the poster, yeah). You can see Dell, my engi OC, here too. It's definitely not my best artwork, but I was just working with the cool concept from my head, not extra fancy stuff or whatever people want to call it "amazing". I've enjoyed to work with poses & rim lights here the most. 📷

Finally finished this art piece. When I saw the new Ducktales poster I immediately thought I hope someone makes a Sanders sides version of did. And then I was like why not do it myself ? I also based it a bit on the Inside out poster. My Morality
Ways to get to know your characters:
These are just some ways I do t, feel free to add your own tips!
Google sheets. Just google sheets. Make a sheet for your story and create categories to fill on your character's traits. Very simple example:
2. Making Pinterest boards. Listen maybe I'm biased because I'm on Pinterest more than I'm on Tumblr and it gives me the most intense nostalgia of any website/app ever, but it may be my most helpful tactic. This works in plenty of ways. Making a board for one story's character designs and making individual categories for each character in that board. Making individual board for each character's design, aesthetic, personality, whatever. No example but I think you get it.
3. I might sound like you lame ass ELA teacher from 9th grade or whatever when I say this, but plot mountains are really helpful. Now I don't mean the plot plot for all you, "I just start writing and am as surprised as my characters when everything goes to shit." writers like me, I'm talking about an internal plot. To explain, there is an external plot (exposition, rising action, climax, etc.) and internal plot (character development,) making external plot mountains isn't helpful for me because I want freedom in my writing. I know where it starts and sometimes where it stops and that's good enough, but writing the development of a character is good to outline just for the foreshadowing and because CHARACTER FLAWS ARE FUCKING IMPORTANT. (Cue the one post about eating mayo packets)
4. Mark their birthdays in your calendar. Like google calendar or whatever the fuck you use. Anyway, dedicate their birthday to just getting to know them. Make a wish list of presents they'd like, or a slideshow about the party activities they'd like, or a pinterest board about what their party theme would be. It's fun, I swear.
5. Make lists of a bunch of stuff. Their flaws, their strengths, their favourite thing, their pet peeves, their favourite people, their pets, their little quirks they have, etc.
6. Physical objects. Make them, buy them, or just stuff you already have. Make a little box of things they'd like or have. Treat them like a friend. A real person. It'll inspire you to write or draw more and you can come up with little backstories on the items.
7. Give them a catchphrase. Even if they never say it, it's cute. I like them. Most people do, I think.
