My headcanons fallowing jimmy’s last episode

The entire time jimmy has been 15 and hit puberty very late just at the end that is why he jumped at the chance to have a mentor

also explains his rivalry with Joel in Greek myths gods are rather immature something about having enough power to do what ever you want with no consequences makes gods act like hormonal teens 

I think this jimmy is evo Jimmy

Jimmy was a 14 year old freshman and grian was 19 a senior that was held back a year 

It has been a year since evo ended so grian is 20 and Jimmy is 15 which makes his later bullying of Jimmy hilarious because he’s a young adult picking on a teenager 

He is the old sheriffs son I know the time is off because the old sheriffs said he was down there for thirty years but the only reason he knew that that was because he added 10 years for each chicken that died but chickens live 5-10 years so what if all the three chickens only lived 5 years each that would put him in there for 15 years

Just after his youngest son was born 

I think the sheriff might have suspected it due to his repeated statements that Jimmy is tiny and has wings like a fairy because jimmy’s mom is a fae 

The sheriff and jimmy’s mom met in the town because that area was always a hotspot for fae activity

The reason the sheriff didn’t leave his wife even though he didn’t want to be married is because she was a fae and was scared he would be cursed if he angered her and that is also why he started drinking 

S1 esmp codlands world building headcanon

The cod lands value their alliances and are known to take inspiration from other cultures its not as though they don’t have any original traditions but a good few of them are a direct result of them putting their own spin on foreign cultures and imports from all over the world 

The most well known example is the cod folks famous wood carvings the story goes a long time ago there was a young codish traveler who had stopped to stay the night in a mezalian inn while wondering the streets he could not help but admire the buildings he loved how symmetrical and perfectly placed the tiles were and it stuck with him 

when he returned home he tried to recreate what he saw but he didn’t have the materials needed for it and he realized very quickly that he should have asked how it was made when he was there but hindsight is twenty twenty and he still wanted to try so he decided to ditch the colors and clay he focused on his favorite part 

He went out side and picked up some tree bark he got a knife and scratched the same patterns the tiles were laid out in mezalia on the wood but smaller it was mess but he liked so he kept doing it when ever he got home from his travels he would sit down and carve patterns into the wood as time went on his work got neater and thought it was not as colorful as the tiles they were based on they focused more on little details they became beautiful and when he got old and settled down he started selling his work in the market soon enough it caught on and more people started carving wood for art rather than for utensils and weapons 

Lots of Time has passed since then and along the way it even picked up some religious significance when children reached a certain age they carve a special bead to mark the day they took the oath to protect all cod it’s like a baptism or bat/bar mitzvah there guardian weaves the child a necklace to put the bead on and from then on when ever something significant happens they make another bead to put on the necklace but they only wear it for special occasions these things are so important to a person they never wear them casually and are heavy protected when someone dies they’re beads are hung in a mini cemetery that each family has because you can’t bury someone in a muddy swamp like you could in a dirt field 

The cod father head is very special because when ever a cod father is introduced they create a bead but it doesn’t go on their necklace it goes on the cod father head alongside the beads of the past cod fathers unlike necklaces that are only worn sparingly the cod father head is to be worn every day to symbolize the cod fathers never ending responsibility to protect the legacy of the cod empire a constant reminder of the past present and future generations the cod fathers have to maintain it’s a lot of pressure and needless to say if a cod father were to loose the head or cod forbid have it be destroyed while in their hands well that would be blasphemy 

but in the present long after the man died the art style he fathered keeps evolving with every new artist it gets further away from the tiles and became it’s own thing a art style that is unmistakably a art unique to the cod lands

Jimmy has been drawn as a canary hybrid and a cod hybrid and a toy but what if he was all three 

He’s a taxidermied harpy he has gills and wings and an alluring voice and is covered with the type of stitches you’d see an a doll

It’s a creepy visual I know but I think it’s interesting and manages to fit the three main hybrids he is known for 

Does anyone else notice how in empires Jimmy always gets really attached to objects like every one has an animal or thing they would start and escalate conflicts for but jimmy’s attachment to his things is on a way higher level than the rest

maybe the reason he’s so much more willing to do all that is because his objects are taken and made fun of more than anyone else’s so he gets really defensive and he has a habit of putting all his power and identity into one or two items usually one being a hat which makes people want to steal it even more

so Jimmy never truly cracks but it’s always the cat that makes him lose his mind so my prediction is that Jimmy loses the sheriff hat he will end the world again and then season two will start

I see people wanting to give the sheriff a gun I think we should take a step back and think for a bit then realize jimmy is the type of character that would absolutely twirl his gun inevitably resulting in him literally and figuratively shooting himself in the foot since he won’t die I think that would be hilarious

tiny Tom headcannon

First things first tiny tom is a girl and a little bit bratty 

she is one of those kids that is obsessed with the idea of a fairy tale happily ever after and when she was abandoned she latched on to that idea and like Jimmy she has a depressing tally board to count the days her goal has not been reached but instead of it being for a train to be build it’s for the days of her not getting her idealized Prince Charming

She admires gem because she is a princess and just like her dads she has delusions about having authority and power so she’s very bossy to the annoyance of everyone plus her father is a god so it’s really bad

she inherited jimmy’s rigid morals and dislike of disrespect and ability to pick her self up

she inherited Joel’s expensive taste and god like strength and patience she doesn’t do things in halves

She loves her brother Hermes but is such a textbook annoying little sister that she manages to be the only that has ever driven the sweet Hermes to loose his patience

They had a very bad first meeting when she found she had a brother she got together a “contract’ and wanted Hermes to agree to unreasonable demands like letting her use his stuff or something like that

Don’t be mistaken Hermes loves her to but there relationship is not the best because he’s obviously the favorite of Joel and he inherited more god powers still she got super strength and is very much capable of picking up both her dads

When she’s older like in her tweens she started to look for parents and it was then she was told who they where

So She went to meet them and when she met Joel it wasn’t good he told her to go back to where she was and when she got pissed he pointed her towards Jimmy so she would take her complains to him instead

Jimmy agreed to let her stay and is very strict but she is the stereotypical bratty daughter so as you can imagine they bicker o lot she also has super strength which makes disciplining her very difficult 

she hates living in tumble town because it’s dirty and she has to do dirty chores she longs to live in stratos but She doesn’t have a roof over her head there and because she still wants to connect to her dads she stays in tumble town

whenever Joel comes he gives her random gifts to piss off jimmy and she worships the ground joel walks on because she is desperate for his approval but she doesn’t respect her other dad who hops from underestimating and babying her to showing disapproval whenever she does something childish

Jimmy try’s to be a dad but the last time he saw her she was a kid and he missed a lot 

over time they do get close but jimmys has a lot to learn and toms got a lot of maturing to do before she gets the picture

Empires Smp Avenger au

Jimmy is called the the sheriff and the weapon he uses is a lasso the twist is that he was trained to use guns and Hand to hand combat from a young age but not a lasso as a result he makes a fool of himself getting tied up all the time by his own weapon so it shocks everybody when ever he picks up a gun or does anything else he’s been trained to do for most of his life 

in the western movies he would watch as a kid the cowboys would use lasso’s so he decided to use a lasso and base his theme off of cowboys

even after he finds out he has fish powers he still dresses like a cowboy so if you where to see him in action you would be treated to the sight of a cowboy straight of of an old western controlling water and talking to fish like he’s aqua man

I don’t think season 2 Joel is a god but I do think the headcannon I’ve seen of Joel from season 1 and season 2 being the same person is true 

I believe what happened was that after his palace was destroyed and his loved ones went missing joel searched for a purpose to distract himself from the grief 

He still wanted to leave behind a legacy so he became obsessed with building his magnum opus a statue just like his citizens but so much more he would get giant muscles and be very tall and have the power of a god

he based the design off of myths like Zeus because he was inspired by his wife who was debatably a goddess also he used famous Greek sculptures as references 

While He is the same Joel from season 1 he is not an immortal god like he claims he is It would be ironic because it would make him making fun of Jimmy for being a toy hypocritical 

I also think the reason Joel targets Jimmy so much is because they used to be brothers in laws and he used to think Jimmy was a great ally and friend so seeing someone with the same face and even some similarities in personality being a corrupt sheriff well it infuriates him to no end 

Empires smp monster high au 

jimmy is a combination of honey swamps and Venus mcflytrap 

instead of honeys southern belle theme he goes for a cowboy theme 

he was raised in a swamp away from both normies and monsters he was a wild child before going to monster high 

so to summarize he’s a fishy slimy plant monster with a cowboy boy inspired style and terrible social skills 

Lizzie is just like Posea Reef and is the daughter Poseidon 

she has shiny blue scales covering her skin and bright pink hair and she is very tall 

she is a half human that was raised amongst normies so the monster thing is new to her she used to look different so the change in appearance and instincts freaks her out when she thinks about it to hard 

so to summarize shes an out of her depth neon demigoddess that just grew gills one day 

joel is a descendent of dr hyde like Jackson 

he transforms into a monster sometimes and his monster self is empires season 2 Joel 

He’s not a god but he’s made out of stone with stone skin like Rochelle Goyle the gargoyle

he looks like a Greek statue brought to life with glowing electric green hair and lightning powers instead of fire 

like Jackson joel doesn’t know he’s a monster and like in cannon even when given proof he doesn’t believe it he believes in monsters and goes to monster high but he refuses to believe he’s a monster 

instead of being a scientist like his ancestors he is an artist 

to summarize he’s a normal dude that goes to monster high or so he thinks he’s keeping a very shock secret from himself 

the three bond over feeling like outcast 

Lizzie and joel also can relate to each others changing bodies they make normie references and teach Jimmy about normie and monster social norms 

Lizzie and jimmy bond over being fish and become seablings 

jimmy and joel have known each other longer but not by much Lizzie only stated at monster high in the middle of the year but before that joel was ignored because he was a normie and Jimmy who didn’t know why everybody was ignoring him decided to become his friend

Jimmy and Lizzie are a combination of Thor and aqua man they have a human dad and ocean queen mom 

Having kids with a human was a very controversial move from the last queen 

she met her human love many years ago he was a British man that loved to sail he was surprisingly respectful to the ocean at a time in history where that was rare 

The way he treated her reminded her of the days of her youth when she could go to the surface and be treated like a praised goddess and not as a feared monster 

when he died she was heartbroken and after many years of gathering energy she was finally ready to lay her eggs she put them as close to the beach they met as she could with out being close enough to be spotted by humans 

the royal family has a  magical trident that like Thor’s hammer can only be used by a select few in this case anyone with royal blood 

the queen died laying her eggs and a supervillain with a vendetta against the kingdom took the opportunity and tried to kill them so that the line would end and the royal powers could never be used again 

but two eggs survived one shiny and brimming with magic the other cracked barely holding on to life but miraculously still intact 

There aunt was put in charge of watching over the remaining two eggs after there mothers death 

she was unsure if the cracked one still had a living being in it but she held hope that it would pull through 

but even though everyone wanted both eggs to hatch they hoped that the one with more potential hatched first so they could be the heir 

And the shining one did hatch first and from it came out a very powerful baby girl with blue skin and pink hair she looked just like her mother but had her fathers brown eyes the kingdom celebrated and she was immediately brought to the palace to be queen 

there aunt ruled until she was ready and because of that she was unable to watch the second egg but she still had hope and made sure there was always someone watching 

But After much more waiting they gave up hope of the other one making it and left it there 

the aunt was heart broken and though she wished to takeoff work to check it herself she knew they where right and the thought of going back to the place her sister died was to much 

not to mention wasting resources and sending people to watch an egg so close to humans was dangerous 

Lizzie knew she had a sibling and was excited to meet them so when they broke the news to her she was saddened 

she would steak off to visit the egg ever now and then 

But thousands of years later it hatched out came a boy but no one was there to celebrate the miracle 

he found his way to the near by shore and because he took more after there human dad in appearance he was assumed to be a baby human 

And the next time Lizzie went to the egg she found the remains she went straight home to spread the news but no one believed her she was told that it was probably the remains of one of their many potential siblings that they didn’t clear from the area 

she promised to look for her sibling but tragedy struck her again when her aunt died she took the throne and she could no longer search for her sibling but she knew he was out there and hoped he would find his way back there her she swore as soon as they reunited she would be the best sister ever 

the trident is powerful giving the wielder complete control of water that does not just include The ocean but all water like rainstorms and the ability to fly by controlling the water in the air 

 jimmy was brought into the foster care system but ended up being taken out by a secret organization that sought to create assassins he was singled out because of he Atlantean durability and strength they didn’t know he was Atlantean but his inhuman traits caused him to be seen as a perfect candidate for there brutal training program

while going through the harsh training he managed to hold on to his optimism by remembering the cowboy movies he’d obsess over while he was in the system he would think about how they would face obstacles and eventually get there happy ending and comforted himself by saying that he would be just like them and have a happy ending 

he only knows basic knowledge since he was taken out of school and was forced to focus on training they wanted him to be stupid obedient and not ask questions 

he was always ignored and tried to fill the silence with noise with added bonus of getting them to react on occasion 

he is way stronger than n the average Atlantean lizzie is still stronger though

when he got out he became the vigilante sheriff like his mother he loved being respected

 both he and his sister where recruited to join the team and they booth excepted 

eventually they realized they where related when jimmy was able to lift the trident after that a lot of things started to make sense to jimmy the main ones being able to breath underwater and talking to fish 

think it’s cool how tango and Scott the two people who jimmy are most frequently paired with have heavy associations with the elements of fire and ice because characters with power over those elements are often opposites in temperament and personality which is the case for them as well so the fact that jimmy is close with both of them I think says something about jimmy

Empires season 1 seabling headcannons

I think jimmy and Lizzie and there mom and any other relatives of the same fishy demigod species age like birds

 I know they are fish but I like to think that like birds they come out the eggs looking like boney flesh bags but grow into colorful beauties from dulled colors and scrawny limbs to shiny vibrant scales and graceful bodies

I thought of a hilarious situation for Hermes what if Joel one day choose to mess with jimmy by leaving Hermes in tumble town forced jimmy to be a babysitter or something 

well turns out that Hermes because of the dolls Joel makes ends up being very receptive to all the cowboy things Jimmy let’s him do to keep him happy while he’s there 

And joel doesn’t know it but it at first but there are consequences for the huge mistake he inflicted upon himself 

because in doing that because when Hermes goes home he now wants to be a cowboy 

and nothing Joel does gets him to stop the experience changed him now he always wears his hat that Jimmy made him and throws tantrums when someone try’s to take it and refuses to go anywhere if he doesn’t have the hat on 

he turns into one of those kids that’s obsessed with a movie so he watches it over and over again and who’s parents are also forced to watch it or a kid with a special interest in wild west and he never stops talking about the topic 

Hermes loved the dessert and him and his father can make rain storms so he doesn’t like the rain any more so he starts claiming to be the god of cowboys

when he gets older and he develops a unique domain he officially becomes the god of deserts and oasis’s patron of explorers and pioneer a guide to those looking to start journeys and facings trials 

Empires smp god au seablings 

I always thought that if Lizzie and jimmy where’s gods there domains would be of different levels of the ocean 

the oldest Lizzie goddess of the deepest depths of the seas and of the ocean floor littered with lost history and knowledge yet to be known where life originated from and where the fish seem other worldly and colorful to ward away threats 

And jimmy the younger brother god of the shoreside and of water that found its way to the surface such as rivers beaches waterfalls desert oasis’s and swamps where life took its first steps out of the ocean and where the earthy toned fish learned to blend in to evade predators  

twin gods born centuries apart destined to be separated but undeniably connected 

Empires smp season 2 sheriff jimmy headcannon 

My headcannon is that as a child jimmy was a homeless orphan ignored by everyone

After his mother died he lost hope and just focus on staying alive until one day a group of kids visited the village it was big news and everyone came out to see the sight because the kids that visited where royalty from far off kingdoms future rulers 

Jimmy saw how everyone stopped what they where doing just so they could get a glimpse of the promising youngsters and he was struck with longing to be noticed like them

 From that day onward he made it his goal to become an emperor so people would love him like his mother used to 

he dreamed up tumble town a place where he wouldn’t be an outcast and where people would respect him 

He chose to settle in a dessert because in the town when it would rain due to not having a shelter he would get soaked and his belongings would risk being ruined 

Because he was homeless he never when to school he only recently learned to read 

In the town where he grew up there was a very wealthy family that had a young daughter named kirsty 

kirsty was always told by her snobby parents to stay faraway from the dirty scrawny kid she would see sometimes around town and she did as she was told until one day she got lost in the woods she was scared and alone but then she found a cave in the cave was jimmy’s “home” she didn’t question it she was taught not to question anything if it benefited her 

She took a look around and found many things food taken from the garbage, a poorly made cowboy hat and drawings of a sherif surrounded by townsfolk and adorned by them all

Then Jimmy returned at first he was embarrassed but then she started to ask about his plans and he started sharing the two of them talked until the Time came for him to show her back but that wasn’t the end of there friendship it was just the beginning 

Kirsty would stop by whenever she could not telling her parents of course they would approve of her friend she was supposed to be learning to be proper lady a perfect example of a southern bell in the making not out climbing trees or digging in trash for food and other things to help jimmy 

as the days went by she started to feel trapped jimmys enthusiasm inspired her his want for more made her want more

She encouraged jimmy to share his plans with others they started to recruit people Jimmys passion of infectious 

Soon enough they started to put the plan into motion kirsty funded most of it but the others helped to so the pioneers set out to create tumble town 

 Jimmy has dedicated his life to tumble town and as you can imagine is terrified he will be replaced and cast out once again after all he was the outsider that went from the bottom straight to the top 

he over works himself a lot trying to build the buildings and do all the paperwork so he doesn’t have to ask others because he feels he might loose their support and they will leave if he oversteps and pushes them away 

I headcanon Joel to be the opposite he was born into health and and influence he much like kirsty was excepted to be a dignified and perfect from birth 

Once he was put in charge he was finally free to do what he wanted he was like those kids that are super restricted and when they rebel they go way overboard 

So Jimmy and joel are complete opposite 

one had responsibility and devotion thrust onto him and the other had to fight tooth and nail for it 

one craves the approval of other while the other stopped caring about what others think a long time ago

Everyone stared at the scars on Count Fwhip’s body, the many scars across his chest and back now fully exposed by the way his shirt and jacket had become tattered in the explosion. He knelt near the center of the explosion site, still having attempted to defuse the device in order to allow others to escape.

Fwhip’s arms came up to try to block the view of his chest, but between his chest and back both being on display, there was nothing he could do to hide his body completely from sight.

He heard the sound of footsteps approaching him and he curled up even tighter, trying to hide from whoever was approaching.

He heard no words following the footsteps stopping in front of him, though he could tell that the figure had crouched down and was doing something.

Fwhip felt cloth fall over his shoulders, covering his body from the gaze of onlookers.

When he glanced up, he was shocked to find Jimmy crouched in front of him. Upon further inspection, the Codfather had given Fwhip his cloak. That was not something to be done lightly. Not in Oceanic cultures. Especially not when done by the ruler of the Codlands.

A Selkie’s coat was their life. To give his to Fwhip, to hide the scars that were so clearly on display, that meant something. Fwhip didn’t know exactly what, but it was something.

Fwhip finally let himself cry, feeling the exposure, the vulnerability of his lack of clothing so keenly now that he was safe from view. Jimmy hid even that from onlookers, pulling Fwhip close and letting the other man hide his tears against Jimmy’s chest or neck.

“I’ve got you. You’re safe.”

Fwhip, against all odds, believed him.

For the 150 words can you do something with Jimmy spending time with Tom and Hermes? The last one was super cute!

"Pa, why me and Hermes look not the same?" Tom tugged on Jimmy's sleeve. Next to him, Hermes also stared up at Jimmy with wide eyes.

"Oh," Jimmy blinked. This was not a conversation that he thought he was going to be having, without either Joel or Sausage present.

"Yeah, Pa. Why are we so different?"

"Well, Hermes you remember how you asked if I could be your Pa too?"

Hermes nodded.

"You both started with two Dads, then got a bonus one. You both started with your Daddy, but Hermes had Papi and Tom had me," Jimmy tried to explain.

Hermes face scrunched up. "So I don't look like you?"

"No, you don't."

"Can I though?"

Jimmy thought a bit before pinning a spare Deputy's badge to Hermes' shirt, "Here, now people will know you're with me."

Hermes grinned and hugged Jimmy, Tom joining in on the hug.

If you’re taking prompts, can you do something with Jimmy overworking himself to the point of exhaustion and the other empires step in? I love sickfics with hurt/comfort.

Jimmy wasn't sure quite what had happened, but he knew that he hadn't been in his bed with his cats sleeping on him the last time he opened his eyes.

Even more, he knew that no one lived with him, so the sounds of people downstairs and the smells of food coming from his kitchen were unusual and somewhat startling. He didn't quite have the energy to panic about it, however. So he pulled himself out of bed and began padding down the stairs, Norman cradled in his arms as Flick scampered along behind him.

Coming down to the base of the staircase, Jimmy blinked as he took in the sight of Sausage and Scott cooking in his kitchen as Lizzie and Joel played with Hermes in his living room. Shelby, Katherine, and Joey were sat on his couch near them as they seemed to be repairing his armor, which caused him to realize that the familiar weight of the protective gear wasn't pushing him down. Pixlriffs and Fwhip were going through some sort of paperwork over at his kitchen table. False was tinkering with his elytra and chatting with both of them. Gem and Oli had joined Sausage and Scott in the kitchen, but instead of cooking, they were pulling things out of storage and putting them back, presumably to sort the items.

"What are you all doing here?"

"Jimmy!" The rulers seemed to clamor over themselves to acknowledge the sheriff, causing the man to pull back from the attention. As he stepped back, his ankle caught the lowest stair, causing him to slip backward and land on his butt, now propped up by the fact that he was sitting on the third stair up from the floor.

"Everyone give him some space," Fwhip instructed, the man's voice carrying an edge that they didn't often see from the admin. "Jimmy, I found you collapsed out by the train. We were worried."

"Collapsed?" After a moment of thought, the story didn't surprise Jimmy as much as it should have. He had been over near the train earlier to deal with a few tasks that had cropped up, but he couldn't remember ever leaving the area.

"Have you been feeling okay, Sheriff?" Gem asked gently, approaching slowly and putting the back of her hand on Jimmy's forehead. The cool feel of her hand was soothing and Jimmy's eyes slipped shut only for him to hear: "Oh, Jimmy, you're burning up."

"I'll be fine. I've got stuff to do, gotta finish Tumble Town."

Gem frowned, unseen by the man in front of her, "You shouldn't be pushing yourself, Jimmy. You need to rest. If you've got a fever, you're not going to get better unless you allow yourself time to heal."

"Don't have time though. Already behind, not going to finish at this rate."

"What do you need to finish? If we can help, then maybe you could rest?" Katherine offered.

Jimmy frowned, a moment of uncertainty as he tried to figure out what to say, "Need to... need, uh, I have a list. It's in my vest pocket?"

Shelby recovered the article of clothing from the pile of garments that she sat next to, pulling a set of papers out of the pocket. It was then that everyone realized that it was not one page, but several, filled completely with to-do lists and duties that the sheriff had taken on.

Flipping through the pages, the witch finally looked up at Jimmy with concern etched into her features, "When do you find time to sleep, Jimmy?"

"But I just did?"

"You passed out!"

"But, I was sleeping? I had things to do, empire to run. You know how it is," Jimmy's nonchalance only seemed to concern his fellow rulers more, which confused him greatly.

"Jimmy, look at me?" Pix requested, drawing the younger man's attention his way. "Your health is always more important than your empire. Or anything else. You were collapsed on the ground in the middle of the day in the mesa. That can be dangerous."

"I have to finish my work though?"

"Jimmy, most of us don't even do all the things on this list. And you have things listed to do in other empires to help us."

"I'm the Sheriff. I have to make sure that everyone else's empires are safe and their citizens are doing well. Chromia's had a pillager problem recently and there's a spider nest that I haven't cleared out yet near the Eversea."

“You apparently also check in on some of our villagers at least once a week. And you have a task listed here that just says ‘double food supply’. Has Tumble Town been having trouble getting food?”

“Doesn’t really rain a lot here, crops don’t grow super well. We’ve got enough, but there’s some new families that have moved in and Lyra and Sara both had children last season. We’ve got more mouths to feed, but it’s been a bad harvest so far. Not really looking good going forward.”

“Oh Jimmy, you know I’ve got extra food. Dawn had a good harvest this year, we could easily help you!”

“Right. Yeah,” Jimmy agreed, though the vibrancy seemed to drop out of his voice.

Scott blinked, set down the utensils in his hand, and left the kitchen. He grabbed Jimmy’s chin with just enough force to direct the man’s movements, but not enough to hurt, moving the man’s gaze upward.

“You are not failing your empire. You are not failing us. You are doing everything you can and that’s enough. You don’t have to do extra things to make up for whatever you think you’re not doing. Jimmy, you are doing so well. But we’re worried because you’re doing so much extra that it’s hurting you.”

Jimmy searched Scott’s eyes for some hint as to the level of honesty that the collector was showing. Finding no sign of a lie, Jimmy began to blink back the tears of exhaustion that were finally making their appearance, the sheriff unable to hold them back any longer.

“Scott, I’m so tired.” The sheriff's words were weak, but the admittance and honesty rang loudly through the already quiet house.

Scott smiled gently, “Go rest, we’ve got you.”
