(Comfort Characters part 6.) Queen Elsa ❄️

I still haven't figured out how I want to draw Elsa but this is my most recent drawing of her. I remember when I was a kid, when Frozen just came out that everybody was obsessed with Elsa but I liked Anna better, I thought she was the actual main character and hero of the story and that she was cute and funny and that everybody just liked Elsa more because she had cool powers. Then rewatching Frozen for the first time in years on New Years Eve I realized "oh wait, I've literally become Elsa". She's painfully relatable now, I even wrote an essay for my best friend Monique explaining why but probably nobody wants to read that :')

This also might be the last of the comfort characters series thingy because the rest of them are not human, lol

Basic Anna sketch (and by sketch I mean this took me like an hour and four layers). Gonna be honest and say I don’t know what my drawing style is anymore. Also I finally saw Frozen 2 last night so yay :D!!

I've been obsessed with Frozen again recently since watching it to celebrate New Years Eve so I had to draw my dear Elsa. I wanted to draw her with her old dress on but with her hair down cus I love that iconic moment in Let It Go when she lets her hair down.

I think the artist really used her palette and style to capture Agnarr’s soft but strong character - and young Elsa is just beautiful. Lovely traditional art that tells a story 🩵❄️

I had the idea of redoing the artwork back in December of 2023 but then just... left it in the middle of the process for a looooong ass time. It's been a solid year+ now since I last worked on it, ngl. But I always liked the og idea of it and the idea of Elsa's magic coming from her father's side of the family (which was a theory that had gone around Tumblr before the 2nd movie was a thing.

I did my best to just clean up the things I needed too to just get it out! I really just wanted to get it done, but like, with a lot of love, cause I'm still very fond of it even if I have a lot of nit picks of past me's lines 😂

Anyway, I love these two to bits 🥺 maybe this'll give me the little push I need to go back to my Frozen fics. SIGH. Maybe.

Another unappreciated Kristanna fic, and this one is an utterly gorgeous one shot where the author captures the scenes so genuinely, you can feel the pages on your fingertips and the butterflies in their stomachs. Kristoff appreciates the help he receives finding a book at the library — maybe he needs to do some more ‘research’ next week too.

And I’m going all out with 6,969 words, a title from a 1969 Beatles song, and, last but definitely not least, some good old-fashioned 69!

I had dreams of expanding this series with a multi-chap about Anna working at KB's garage with boss/employee relationship (read: secret relationship), friends-to-lovers, trauma recovery, and a wicked slow burn. IDK, maybe I still will.

A sleepless Elsa sings a power ballad alone in her room after her bedside portrait reminds her of the family "she" broke. Seems Sir Jorgenbjorgen is not just an excellent listener, but substitute dance partner as well.

I abhor the first page layout but, sorry, I can't be bothered to stare at it any longer.
