So yes the Valentine's headcanons were late, BUT I got it posted in February so it's still relevant (I hope)
Arcane Headcanons: how they spend Valentine's Day with reader
➼ Here are some (very late, my bad) Valentine's Day headcanons for some Arcane characters! If there is a character that I didn't write for and you want them added on, just shoot me an ask and I'll work on it^^
➼ Characters included are: Viktor, Jayce, Mel, Vi, and Caitlyn
➼ Reader is gn except for Vi and Cait, then reader is fem (it's just the rules)
➼ No beta we die like Mylo
➼ Warnings: None! Just as a reminder none of the GIFs are mine, credits to the owners!
Honestly forgot about Valentine's Day with all of his work, spends all day in the lab and largely ignoring you. You'd be lucky to get a glance from him as he worked
Or so you think
After however many hours of work he calls you over to him, spinning around in his chair, proudly showing off what was in his hands. It's a small music box that when wound up played you guy's song. Inside are little memories of all your dates. Pictures, trinkets, anything he could fit in there
"Do you like it? I'm sorry it took that long, the gears weren't meshing together how I needed them to. Happy Valentine's Day, my love"\
He's a total romantic, convince me otherwise
Wakes you up with breakfast in bed (he got it from the breakfast restaurant down the street), gives you a handpicked bouquet (it's mostly weeds, but it's still pretty), and has a dinner booked for the two of you at the nicest restaurant in Piltover
You two finish out the night watching movies and cuddling on the couch, his arms always around you and a blanket covering you both
"Happy Valentine's Day, sunshine. You ready to head out? The reservation is at...god you're gorgeous"
It's a stay in kinda Valentine's Day with Mel. You both have a rare morning of sleeping as long as you want for the day, having to convince yourselves to even get up and get dressed
Once you two are finally up, Mel insists on painting you for the remainder of the afternoon. She poses you on the couch, looking as comfortable as ever, and takes her time painting every detail she can see. She adds herself right next to you of course, and you find a nice spot to hang it once she's done
The night ends with a good homecooked dinner and wine
"Keep still, darling. I'm nearly done here. Your perfection takes time to capture"
She's trying, okay? This is her first Valentine's Day she isn't alone and romance isn't exactly rampant in the Undercity. That doesn't stop her from giving it her all though
She takes you around to all the best spots in the Undercity. Breathtaking views, great street food, anywhere she thinks that you'll like. Vi tries to avoid the more sketchy areas with you to try and keep you out of trouble
The day ends with you two falling asleep in each other's arms while listening to your favorite songs
"Hope you liked today bun, I promise I'll try to do something a bit more grand next year"
Caitlyn has been PLANNING
Though she is still extremely nervous and a bit awkward at first. She just wants to make sure everything goes smoothly. The day is planned to a T. A slow morning, having tea together, going out to rollerskate. Then heading home
To pack for a picnic under the stars! You two spend nearly all night stargazing, grazing on whatever you packed, and cuddling on the blanket
"Out of all the stars out tonight, I have to say I like the one I'm holding the best"

dont hmu im crying over Mel’s mommy issues she was such a sweet baby and Ambessa couldn’t appreciate her sweetness until it was too late oh my god PLEEEAAASEEEEEE she was so small and wanted a love she could never receive
princess!mel giving bodyguard!sevika the important duty of... peeling her orange. mel offers her the fruit as a joke, a coy smile on her lips, eager to see how sevika would handle the situation. sevika begrudgingly takes the orange, peeling the skin into a clean spiral, the citrusy scent filling the small space between them. mel is smug, a witty remark already on the tip of her tongue, but sevika catches her off guard by coaxing her mouth open with her metal fingers, sliding a piece of the tart fruit inside. if the princess couldn't peel her own orange, how could she possibly feed it to herself?
what if they met and engaged in mischief
story wise, watching arcane fumble mel and jayce's relationship so hard irks me bad. interracial relationships in media involving two poc are RARE, and it's even rarer to see healthy ones portrayed. like damn.

Mel Merdarda is the absolute girlboss of Piltover. She was a innovative leader who put the survival of her people first. She might have had a powerful mother like Caitlyn, but unlike Caitlyn she made that power and position her own. I'm so sick of people saying Caitlyn is the ultimate girlboss with Mel exists.

Am I the only one worried for act III??
Like they have SO much to get through in just 3 episodes and with the way the other two acts have gone (leaving certain characters for just one big segment in one episode instead of spreading their scenes out) makes me kinda worried
Like how are we going to get through all the stuff with viktor and jayce, get mel back, find ekko and the rat, caitvi, vi becoming an enforcer proper, jinxs everything AND noxus in just THREE episodes
Maybe they'll be longer??? I kinda doubt that tho
I had some major plot points spoilt for me abt s2 and I won't say any of them here but OMFG IM SO EXCITEDDDD

For caitvi maybe it could be Vi and Jenny, and Caitlyn with the night nurse.
VI and Jenny I do not have much reason besides tattoos and VI's pit fighter look.
Caitlyn and the night nurse cause with Cait being an inforcer and the night nurse keeping dead children in check they both have jobs that are there to keep order in some way.
With Mel and Monty switching that does leave Ambessa and Ester as an option.
The other characters I am not sure with are tragic mick, the cat king and David.
Arcane/DBDA swap au?
Viktor swaps with Edwin, Jayce and Charles, Crystal and Ekko and then Niko and jinx
Viktor and Edwin I don't have much reason for tbh
Jayce and Charles cause I think Charles would think the hammer is very cool
Ekko and Crystal because magic and also because I think they'd look cool in each other's outfits and I think they'd get along
Jinx and Niko really only for timebomb's sake but also cause I think Kingham and Litty as Silco and Sevika would be fucking hilarious
Mel and Monty perhaps because of the relationship with Ambessa and the relationship with Esther remind me of each other
I have zero clue who would be caitvi
