@yaboy-robin
Does Dolo have a limp cuz of a lasting injury or smth?
Yes, actually!
In the bygone days of the gem empire, before Blue and Pink were created- when Yellow Diamond's first colony collapsed, Dolomite.... reprimanded her. Said she had rushed into the whole thing without checking if it was safe. And now thousands of gems would never be born.
Yellow was frail during this time, not knowing a lone Brimstone survived yet, and hit Dolomite. Throwing the much smaller gem into a wall.
Her gems both cracked. And, well, this was a time before healing tears.
Dolomite set her own cracks in private, a procedure that stops glitching and thr crack from growing- but cannot stop pain from the gem stone and cannot be healed in the future.
Yellow learned to not mess with the little fusion who White kept around, lest there be consequences.
"yes, yes, it's very pretty. Now put it down before you poof yourself....."
maybe taff and my dolomite? if that's okay!
Of course! Taaf got distracted by the cane shshh

A spooky scary gem drawing, gay gay homosexual gay interaction and custom fusion design of Bitch Crystal and Angelite! π«
Any fun facts about Corundum?
A few!
Corundum, before he was a crystal gem, was stationed at the lunar sea spire
Corundum was under White Diamond's court before being transferred to Pink "temporarily".
Corundum and Rose had a garden where they tried to craft unique hybrid plants together.
And just cause some for Chatoyancy and Sonora Sunrise as well!
Chatoyancy, Greg, and Vidalia all play poker every Tuesday.
Yancy never fused with any of the crystal gems before Rose passed. She first fuses with Corundum to fight a tough corrupted gem.
Chatoyancy is the first to fuse with Steven.
Sonora Sunrise stopped fusing with the others when Rose passed on. At first, out of respect. Then, it was just... Hard. Until she almost accidentally fuses with Coral.
Her and Coral's fusion is named Rosarita
Sonora keeps a diary! What's in it is private. No peeking.
ohhh ask time? how about tell us a bit about ametrine and tourmaline during the war and their meeting n decision to get married n stuff! :o
Tourmaline was "temporarily" stationed at the lunar sea spire. The spire was a temporary station while gems who were to work on Earth waited for their own work stations to be completed. It was common for important gems to wait there while the colony was being finished. What wasn't common, was the delay of construction on so many locations once the war broke out.
Tourmaline quietly watched as the war seemed to tip further and further away from Homeworld. Gems said it was blasphamy to think that. But the whole war was blasphamy, wasn't it?
Ametrine burst to life from the Beta Kindergarten, in the middle of the crystal gem raid on the compound. In the heat of battle, Rose Quartz saved the off color from the axe of another confused beta newborn. It was hard to tell who was friend and who was defect that day.
Ametrine joined the war effort, at first, out of gratefulness for her life saved. Then, she loved the idea of showing Homeworld that she was strong. Even as an "off color".
The corruption blast hit them both suddenly and without warning.
They were next to each other in the healing bath that brought them back. Sonora Sunrise, the very first gem, starting to tell the story of how she found love and tried the human concept of a wedding....
The rest is history (:
A couple hypothetical previous regens for B*tch Crystal and Brimstone!
Can you tell which one I put more effort into.
All the Crystal Gems from the RACGWOCS au! Decided to keep Corundum but I'm gonna edit his story a bit. His redone bio will be uploaded later. But! All the cgs! Height ref for em really. Corundum is about Pearl height.
Sonora Sunrise - The First - She/Her
Chatoyancy - The Rebel - She/They
Corundum - The Eccentric - He/Him
@itstanzaniteuniverse replied to this post:
What's the permafrost defect?
The permafrost defect is something I created for gem kind that I think would be cool.
When a gem is injected into a new colony, there could be undetectable permafrost in the ground. This is generally something that is not found until the kindergarten is mostly completed with gems already injected and cannot be fixed.
Injector fluid wraps around the ice and begins to form a gem. This makes it so that there is ice inside the gemstone when they emerge.
This ice causes erasures in a gem's coding. A gem cannot loose base abilities every gem has; fusion, shapeshifting, etc. However, a gem can loose things that are unique to that gem type. The standard form the gem has could be radically different, they could loose unique abilities (like being unable to use hydrokenisis), and they could be a totally different color than that gem type is usually. They could also loose their base coding, being barren like Amethyst was. It is rare, but a gem could also gain new abilities totally unique to them!
If a gem is born with a permafrost defect, they are taken to be judged for their usefulness in gem society. If they are judged to be useful, they are given a role that fits their use- sometimes different to what their normal use is. If they are judged to be not useful, they are sent to be shattered.
This is due to Yellow Diamond's right hand, Brimstone, having a permafrost defect and being kept.
Gems are generally considered lower class and "off color" when they are born with this defect.
Gems I have with this defect include Brimstone, loosing her base abilities, and Angelite, simply a different color than standard Angelites.
If you want to use this defect, go ahead! Just tag me so I can see what you came up with π
I loooove how these two look in your style! thank you so much for drawing them!!!

New Future RACGWOCS au gems!
The Uncorrupted Ametrine (left) and the uncorrupted Watermelon Tourmaline (right) approached Steven and Sonora Sunrise after learning about weddings. THEY wanted to get married! Just like Sonora did to her love, Coral!
Sonora was so excited about this idea and rushed into it, happy to officiate a wedding for two gems, and started to help the duo plan their union. Two more gems, experiencing the matrimony of a wedding! Finally, someone to talk to who understood the idea!
However, Steven wasn't so sure about the union. Sure, at first, it was a great thing! But, as the planning moved on, he saw some stuff that concerned him about the engaged couple.
First, he found Ametrine and Watermelon Tourmaline had only met very recently after uncorrupting. And, they had fought on opposite sides of the war; Ametrine for Earth and Tourmaline for homeworld. Another fact was that Ametrine seemed a lot more excited about this union than Tourmaline, and their personalities seemed to clash. Ametrine was very excitable, punk, and happy-go-lucky. While Watermelon.... Was very melancholy. Eeyore like in seeing the world in a sad light.
Steven told all this to Sonora, but she ignored it. She pointed out she and Coral were not together long before marrying, and were very different as well. And yet, he didn't have a problem with them. Why was he so against this union? Steven couldn't find a reason, and relented to help the marriage go through.
Sonora did put a stop to the union, however, refusing to officiate after learning the two weren't even a couple. They had only come together to mimic something the great Sonora had done. She said that marriage was not something to take so lightly, and definitely not something to rush into without knowing the other first.
The duo separated and did not speak to one another after... But it was quickly seen that this was a bad thing.
They missed each other; Ametrine pouting that "Tourmie" would have loved things she sees at school. And Tourmaline was somehow even sadder, curling into her shell and isolating from others.
Steven and Sonora realize their mistake in splitting them up and bring the two together for a different kind of ceremony. Not a wedding, as the duo should still make sure they love each other before diving into that, but a promise ceremony. They exchanged gifts and promised to try to learn more about the other, and be together like they want. And, to try to learn to love each other enough that maybe one day they can get married.
The two leave as a happy couple into the sunset :^).

Well, what about the others then? Sonora and Chatoyancy? How are they towards Rose having Steven, and the eventual reveal of Rose having been Pink?
Chatoyancy is incredibly bitter at Rose for daring to have Steven. She was always the one who could question Rose the most. After everything they went through together, everything Rose did- she thinks she can just disappear like this and it would all be okay? She was a fool to think so. But, Yancy never took it out on Steven. Steven was new, and it was never his fault. Yancy always made that clear for Steven. She never blamed him.
Sonora Sunrise always asked if Rose was sure. It seemed so silly, so final for something so finite as a human life. But, Sonora always respected Rose. Always thought of her as the first to really question the way White arranged things, and she respected her judgement and forethought. If she was sure.... She would be there. And support her and her spawn. 100%. Well.... 70%. She saw other options, but.... it was Rose. She always did what she wanted.
However, the Rose was Pink reveal? That hits Yancy the hardest, I think. Yancy was hurt by Rose killing Pink, but for her to have actually been Pink? To cause all that pain, hurt, betrayal; to watch all her friends be corrupted and shattered for her one choice to leave this a secret - and then to never tell them after? To let Yancy shout at her whenever it came up, and know she hurt Yancy with the death? That.... that was so painful. She gets it, she does. Trying to create a new identity and never wanting to look back at what they wanted or expected you to be- that was why she was even there. But it just.... Hurt to feel it from Rose.
Sonora is frazzled at the reveal. She needs to make sure Steven is okay, of course, pushes down her own feelings on the matter until Steven is somewhere safe for her to melt down. It isn't right to put this on him. It never was. She needs to make sure Yancy understands that Rose probably never meant to hurt them. Probably. Oh, what if she did? What if this was all just a Diamond trick? No, no- they would all be shattered or White's puppets by now if that were the case. No Diamond would draw out torture like this. That's what she has to tell herself. It was all just.... Just a big lie that got out of hand, yes. She has to tell Coral and- Coral. Coral, Coral, Coral- In a buzzing, frazzled attempt to gain control of the situation and make a choice for herself; Sonora asks Coral to marry her. Maybe it was rushed, but, oh wasn't it such a wonderful idea? It would be new, and exciting, and a choice not stemmed from Rose. Coral says yes.
"I don't want to hear about Pink Diamond anymore."
"Yeah, and I'm sure Pink Diamond would want to be alive!"
New racgwocs au gem - adopted fromΒ DarkLolipop88Β on dA (with some edits haha) - Chatoyany! An about her under the cut:
One of four survivors of the war for Earth (along with Rose Quartz, Sonora Sunrise, and a yet undecided gem), Chatoyancy was originally crafted by Blue Diamond (with Yellowβs essence) to humor Pink Diamondβs cries for peace talks with the crystal gems. Her purpose was to go before the crystal gems, and discuss agreeable terms of surrender for the end of the war. Things Homeworld would want if they won. And things the crystal gems would want if, stars forbid, they won.Β
Chatoyancys are generally crafted for jobs that Homeworld does not want to waste an entire gem line for, and do odd jobs before being reassigned to other odd jobs. Theyβre seen as low class, no matter their task. Throw away gems no one really thinks of.Β
This Chatoyancyβ¦.. Didnβt want her life decided for herself. She didnβt want to go into a war field and be inevitably captured for just doing her job. But, the whispers of her expected convincing to join the other side while she was thereβ¦. It kept her away.Β
No, Chatoyancy did not fight for Earth, not for Homeworld, not for the crystal gems, not for Rose, not for the Diamonds.Β
Chatoyancy fled and looked out for herself. and the small gems the war forgot.
She became a nuisance to both sides. stopping things she saw as wrong or immoral with her smoke creating cherry bombs, tripping gems up with her caltrops, throwing sharpened playing cards, or crafting near perfect shadow clones to distract the enemy and quickly getting away with her shadowy form and lithe figure. She stopped Homeworld from shattering those fighting for their own freedom, and she stopped the crystal gems from kidnapping loyalists to try to sway them to their side. She couldnβt be everywhere of course, always feeling bad she couldnβt do anything for Pink. She always said she was against homeworld butβ¦. Pink was her diamond. The very reason she was alive. Maybe if she had discussed terms of surrender first before fleeingβ¦. Just maybeβ¦
She was her own gem, until the corruption light hit.Β
Rose saved who she could in the moment, scooping the survivors close and bracing for impact. She thought she only saved twoβ¦. But Chatoyancyβs poofed stone was under her protective shield. Another was saved.Β
Chatoyancy wouldnβt listen to any of the survivors for hide nor hare. She was a rebel to the rebels. Refusing to truly join their side, for she hated that Rose had shattered someone. And, it would make all those whispering gems right all those years ago. However, she stayed with them. Her chance of survival with all these corrupted gems was better as a group. Plus, wellβ¦.. it was company that wouldnβt inevitably rot.Β
Chatoyancy is head strong, wonβt back down from anything, and challenges ideas Rose had more openly than the others. To Steven, she is the rebellion emo older sister who helps him get away with things the others would never let him do. She encourages him to think for himself, and secretly hopes he will be just as kind, loving, and wonderful as Rose was to her- despite her dissent.
Chatoyanyβs gem is on her left palm.Β
Chatoyancy uses she/they pronouns.Β Β
Time for two new gems for the "replace all canon gems with ocs" au that I've had sitting around for a while. Never had the inspiration to finish them until now!
Stabbingtonite (purple gem; designed by @pocket-gems ) is actually a Siberite. When she was newly emerged, she was presented before Yellow Diamond for inspection.... With Pink Diamond monitoring to learn how to run inspections on gems that warranted the Diamonds' attention.
Pink.... thought the name of this gem type unfitting. And suggested they call them something more fitting. Like Stabbingtonite; since their gemstones were shaped like knives.
Yellow did not find this idea amusing, but the name stuck on this Siberite once Pink was shattered. To honor the lost Diamond.
Antmony (blue snake gem) was assigned to Stabbingtonite as a sort of controller. An interpreter of the Diamond's more complicated orders, and making sure the orders were followed through properly.
The two are a much more competent Jessie and James from Pokemon. Flirtatious at each other, and dancing romantically as they monologue about their opponent's doom. They are very much in love, but have never fused, despite it being legal in this au. They've never seen the point.
These two are assigned to the doomed Earth planet to gather humans for the human zoo. During era three, they break up for a while to find themselves outside of their assigned realtionship. Wanting to figure out if their love was just a product of their assigned roles, or if it was real. They do love each other dearly, but want to use the new lens of era three to inspect the validity of their relationship outside of serving the Diamonds.
Antimony uses they/them pronouns and Stabbingtonite is fine with you calling them she/him/them, whatever.
I have no regrets depecting B*tch crystal's..... "weapon".
He only uses his spear like this; stabbing it in the ground and then using it as a stripper pole.
Thought it'd be fun to log what the weapons of each of my oc au gems (so far) are. I don't feel like drawing all of em and am only gonna draw one cause I think it's funny. I might update this as I add more gems to the au:
Ametrine: Ribbon
Angelite: Man Catcher
Antimony: Electric Whip
Asterism: Energy bow and arrow; however she usually uses the blaster she can make with her floating fingers like peridot could with her limb enhancers
B*tch Crystal: Spear - he does also have an unsummoned, physical dagger on a garter holster under his dress
Brimstone: UNABLE TO SUMMON WEAPON AND HAS NO PHYSICAL WEAPON
Chatoyancy: Cherry Bombs/Caltrops (interchangeable)
Copper: Chain-whip Sword
Coral: Ray Gun
Dolomite: Cane; this is able to shift into a lighting shooting destablizer at will. No one is sure if this is her summoned weapon or a nonsummoned, physical weapon.
Fairy Quartz: UNABLE TO SUMMON WEAPON AND HAS NO PHYSICAL WEAPON
Kunzite: Spiked Knuckles
Liddicoatite: Electric Guitar
Orphiment: Syringe
Petalite: Khopesh
Romanechite: Scythe
Sonora Sunrise: Chakram
Stabbingtonite: Broad Sword
Watermelon Tourmaline:Β Lance
Re-design of Druzy Quartz, the fusion of Orphiment and Kunzite. I like this much better than the last design so this is the new canon design.
Some minor characters from my su oc au!
"Orphiment" original design by @pocket-gems
Kunzite originally adopted from this sheet by gums00se on deviantart
More about them under the cut!
Kunzite (purple- right gem), a very long time ago, at the beginning of the war for Earth. was given high rank and praise for doing something important related to the colony. After this, Kunzite became.... Full of herself and lazy. She would push tasks to her underlings while she got to laze about and do nothing. She said she was helping them! Maybe, if they tried hard enough, they could be almost as good as her!
Orphiment (yellow- left) is one of Kunzite's underlings. She is a plant researcher for homeworld who hates getting dirty, and hates her boss even more. She goes to great lengths to avoid organic grime and muck, and hates having to get down in the dirt for missions.
Kunzite, in the retreat, left an item of importance to homeworld on Earth (undecided what), and returns to get it thousands of years later. Or, rather, she sends Orphiment to get it while she relaxes in the safety of her ship.
Orphiment gives the crystal gems the runaround, and eventually leads them aboard the ship, ready to take the item home. Even if she kinda..... finds these Earth gems and odd earthling funny. If weird. She just wants to get back to clean homeworld.
Kunzite finally acquiesces and stands to face the crystal gems.... As a fusion. She orders her underling to fuse with her, so she doesn't have to put too much effort into the battle. Hey, look on the bright side, it's an honor to be able to fuse with one such as herself!
Druzy Quartz, their fusion, is boisterous and loud. Sorta a mix of Saradonyx and Sunstone personality-wise. She has two mouths. One talks in text shorthand/l33t speak while the other.... quietly corrects the grammatical errors. She has a large squeaky hammer as a weapon, combining Orphiment's syringe and Kunzite's spiked knuckles.
When defeated, Kunzite throws a temper tantrum. She should have won! She's always been told she's the best, so why did the crystal gems win! They must have cheated!
Orphiment finally stands up to Kunzite at her tantrum and tells her that if she had maybe helped, they would have won. And she's not actually so great. The rest of the ship crew pipes up in agreement. Kunzite is greatly offended and runs off to find a "better crew" who will "understand the benefits of the favors she gives them".
Orphiment gives the crystal gems the artifact back, and goes off into distant space with the rest of the crew. Off to see what wonders await out there without Kunzite breathing down their neck.
Hi! I'm new here after seeing your thing for White Diamond Steven. I already love all your art and was curious about what gems make up Dolomite
I'd say but it's a secret! ;3c
Dolomite formed very early in gem history, fusing before several of the earliest gem types had a concrete purpose. She excitedly showed White their new form. The way the two gems combined naturally hid their two gemstones, and thus White could not see who these gems were. She would have known if she could see. This is one of the main reasons why White kept Dolomite around. A secret not even the Great White Diamond knew. It was best to keep that close. That, and if she decided to do away with this fusion, it could be close to do so with.
Dolomite's components is meant to be one of the great mysteries of the "replace all canon gems with ocs" au (racgwocs au). Like with Fluorite's components, the audience, and characters within the show, are never meant to know.
That being said, she does have two canon components! She is made of two gems who are deeply in love and are never apart, like Garnet. <3
"Hey, Coral, what about this guy? Who is this supposed to be?"
>gasp< "Oh! They even included the right hands! Well, most of them. I don't think B*tch Crystal was around at the time. But still- The detail-!"
"The.... right hands? The Diamonds have more than one?"
"No, Steven. These are the Diamond's innermost confidants! The elite of the elite! They work beside their diamond always, and are all one-of-a-kind gems like the Diamonds!"
"So- They're like- Their best friends?"
"No, Steven, the Diamonds don't have time for friendship."
Dolomite - The mysterious and powerful
Brimstone - The permafrost paragon
B*tch Crystal - The fabulous king
Petalite - The forgotten hermit
For fun "murals" of the diamond's right hands that have them in the poses of their diamond's murals.
thank you so much for drawing her again!!! she came out so wonderful!! πππ
Reference sheet commission for @yaboy-robin !
She was great to work with! I never thought reference sheets could be fun
B*tch Crystal hummed pleasantly as he spun delicately into Angelite's grasp. "Now, isn't this nice, Angelite?" He grinned down to the Pearl sized gem. "Just us. No Diamonds. No fusion. Just us."
"Yes." Angelite's eye twitched gently, her gem glowing with invitation. If he would just let go and let her in then she could- She could- "It's nice." Why wasn't he letting her in? He fused with others recreationally sometimes- why not her? If he did, then she could lure him in more and more until they could ask for it to be forever. Letting her get close to Blue again.
B*tch Crystal grinned almost knowingly as he hummed to a song that wasn't there. Angelite tried so hard, it was almost cute. Almost.
Maybe, for the moment, B*tch Crystal could pretend Angelite didn't hate him. That he was a good second hand, that gems didn't tolerate him only due to his status, that Blue called him her's instead of her's. Then maybe he could let go enough to entertain Angelite's silly trying to woo him. Pretend someone actually cared enough to be with him for him and not for his status.
But pretending only got you so far, didn't it? B*tch Crystal pulled away from Angelite with a hum. "I must leave for an appointment now." He adjusted the top of his dress, dusting out the wrinkles. "I will see you when our diamond returns to the zoo."
Angelite scowled the briefest moment, before schooling her expression and unlighting her gem. Folding her arms with a salute. and folding herself into a slight bow, she spoke with false reverence, "I will see you then, my crystal."
The Serpentine shook ever so slightly as she raised her hand to knock on the frame of the doorway of Petalite's quarters. The door was open, so she could probably intrude on the hermit gem without getting in trouble. An open door meant welcome visitors.... Or a forgotten-to-close situation.
Serpentine knocked gently on the doorway, straightening her posture so that she looked more appealing. Hopefully, Petalite would understand. She wasn't really known for being understanding but.... Serpentine had a job to do.
Petalite was hunched over her work desk, thousands of notes scattered on holo screens on the wall in front of her. Her hand buried deep in her hair, gripping it tightly. A few tears dripping down her cheeks. She barely looked over her shoulder at the knock, face mask darkening with a bitter, tired tone. "Don't you know better than to disturb me while I'm working?"
"A-Apologies, my Petalite," Serpentine saluted, sweating, "But I come to retrieve you for Blue Diamond. Her grace requests your presence."
Petalite scoffed, turning back to her desk and idly adjusting a few things that glinted in the light. Serpentine's eyes dilated when she saw they were bright pink gem shards. Were those....? "Tell her grace I'm busy. Maybe another cycle."
Serpentine sweated more and swallowed roughly. "I was told to retrieve you no matter how busy you were, my Petalite. Blue Diamond wishes to-"
"Fuck Blue Diamond's wishes!" Petalite slammed her hands on her desk roughly, rattling the shards on her desk. One fell to the ground, where a pile of shards and hastily fused together multi color shards sat at Petalite's feet. Serpentine swallowed again. "I'm trying to get our precious Pink back, and all she can talk about is how she's gone! She's not GONE-! I just haven't FIXED her yet! If she was GONE- then I- I'd have-" More tears dripped from under Petalite's face mask. The screens on the wall all blinked red suddenly, flashing one word:
FAILED. FAILED. FAILED.
Petalite angrily shoved the shards on her desk to the side, the shards hitting her wall and breaking more against it. Falling to the messy floor. She turned angrily to the Serpentine, more and more color draining from Petalite's form (if that was even possible with how bleached she was). Petalite slammed her hand on a button before Serpentine could run, activating a destabilizing field in the door way and poofing the poor messenger.
Petalite's shoulders slumped tiredly and she deactivated the field, walking over to the gem on the floor and bubbling it. She pushed the bubble outside of her doorway, and closed the door. If Blue sent another messenger, the message would be clear:
Do not disturb.
A quick edited side by side of the three main right hands of the Diamonds. Good height comparison references for the three! Brimstone is ever so slightly shorter than Pearl, coming to her nose, and B*tch Crystal would have Pearl come to the notch in his gem horn.
