The best order to watch Half Life 2 speed runs is this Dev Commentary fallowed by the AGDQ run with it's beautiful, beautiful commentary.
I’m with you Dev’s how is this guy getting shot in the face but not taking any damage? How does he just walk into walls?
Comment section: “Well clearly he's a boat and also a zombie and also doesn't exist,"
Hmm, no, that’s not helpful. But I am intrigued.
A while back, I did some testing in Metroid 2: the Return of Samus. I wanted to see how consistent damage values were, among other things.
The above document is my findings. I tested all damage values from every source, tried out every weapon on every enemy, and even cross compared between damage while using the base suit, and the Varia suit.
I found that the damage values were consistent, and I mapped hit points for each enemy based on the number of power beam shots each enemy takes to defeat. Using this, I was able to figure out how much damage each beam deals.
Avatar AU where Aang wakes up like 3 days before Sozin's Comet returns and he has to speedrun the entire series.
