Hanging out. Thinking about stuff.
went down to my basement to do laundry and there is a beautiful lady down there??
glimpse into my beautiful imaginary world where arthropods are really big and we domesticated them
edit: people are starting to say some "my worst nightmare" or "eeeww no that one is yucky and scary" comments on this like they do on any bug post and id like to say. it's fine if you don't like bugs it's fine if you're scared of bugs but don't put that on MY post clearly talking about how much i like them and how cute i think they are. you can make your own damn post about how much you hate wasps or spiders or whatever. i'm blocking people who make these kinds of comments.
I'm calling this batch Midnight Auroras. I was a little worried if their eyes wouldn't stand our from the dark yarn, but after testing it, they came out pretty cute!
Also experimenting with some background pieces instead of the base gray... photography is not my strong suit lmao. Though the morning tornado-warning weather gave me some good lighting, at least.
Plus it looks a little better in the closeups. I think.
As always they are up for adoption on my etsy page!
fresh batch of spiders up for adoption!
Inktober 2023 #2 Spiders
Prompt List:
So a spider decided to create a web connected to my bed, which is fine, I’ll clean it up, no biggie… BUT WE MADE AN AGREEMENT. YOU STAY AWAY FROM MY BED AND MY DESK AND I WON’T MAKE A PANCAKE OUT OF YOU WITH A SHOE.
Fuckin leggy bastards…
if you can't produce your own webbing, storebought is fine
so much care put into housing this aging spider. why are my eyes wet

This literally took me 3 hours and now my hands (somewhat) hurt. The person behind Siren (my mk oc) is the spider queen.
Scary puppy
From here. If you think arachnids with long legs are just scary please watch this solifugid dig her nest (or try to) like SUCH a goofy little person creature. Look how she shoves dirt with her mouth and then gives it a little pat. Is she even making any progress?!
SPIDERS HAVE PAWS😭😭😭 its so cute i cant-

Been practicing drawing jumping spiders. I still have quite a ways to go in drawing one of my favorite animals, but I’m still pretty proud of how this quick little drawing turned out.
Giant tarantulas keep tiny frogs as pets. Insects will eat the burrowing tarantulas’ eggs - so the spiders protect the frogs from predators, and in return the frogs eat the insects. Source
She's a very sweet girl!
No idea what her species is though :(
So, I just begun listening to the Magnus Archives Podcast; and even if I could stay here hours to talk about how much I love it already, I'm here to be my dumbass self:
I'm here to talk about the episode 16: "Arachnophobia"
The first thing you gotta know about why I feel like this about this episode, is that I'm in no way shape or form arachnophobic; I love spooders with all my heart and to me, they're only the arachnid equivalent of the danger noodles (which I also love, but I'm not here to talk about this).
Second thing is that when I'm scared, I try to empathize with the villain and not the protagonist of the horror I'm watching, or in this case, listening to.
In this Episode, Carlos Vittery explains how he moved to this flat to find the thing he had been fleeing from: spiders.
But tell me, just tell me, that I wasn't the only one to think how good must've felt the spider the second Carlos saw him on the TV screen.
I just imagine Carlos trying to grasp at his sanity while this little shit just makes fortnite dances on his tv screen, while giving him a metaphorical middle finger.
