I’m so emotional about dinosaur stuffed animals,,, there are these creatures, extinct long before any of us were alive, but we found their bones and their eggs and their footprints. And we made drawings and models of what they could’ve looked like. And we made them into stuffed animals so we could hold them. We made them soft so we could love them. I’m sobbing

me and my brother basically only communicate with plushies and dolls and we each have huge stuffed animal collections that all have names (we usually forget the names of the ones we dont use often but we just rename them ₍^. .^₎⟆) we also have different universes where they act differently or have different education (for example one of them who is six years old is a doctor in a different universe) its gotten to a point where its awkward for us to talk with our normal voices to eachother but we still understand if its the stuffed animal talking or the actual person doing the voice somehow
conclusion: playing with plushies/dolls/stuffed animals is best communication method

I have reached the Holy Trinity of stuffed animal obsessions
at first: Beanie Boos (which I know a lot of people hate because of how their a huge contributor to the whole “what toy companies think is cute” thing, but I still have a soft spot for them because they were such a big part of my childhood)
Then: Squishmallows (still goin fairly strong, was a huge fixation of mine for like a year and a half)
and finally: Beanie Babies (I FUCKIN LOVE THESE SILLY FUCKIN GOOBERS. I HAVE THE MILLENNIUM 2000 ONE, THE FUCKIN PRINCESS DIANA ONE, AND GOOCHY AND SWIRLY)
I’m so sad because I got my two recent ones (Goochy and Swirly) at this Halloween thing that was happening, and I was planning on getting more when the fair was over, but we got rained out and they were all taken away :<
I put together an audience to watch me practicing my audition song for the school musical. They're very kind and non-judgemental. Except the one standing next to the computer. He bit me.

Personally, I actually really like these kinds of stuffed animals! :D They're my favorite kind, and whenever I get a new one I carry it around with me everywhere for a minimum of 2 weeks. Dont get me wrong, floppy softer ones are great as well and are probably more practical if you're trying to actually play with it, but firmer, more stuffed ones feel much easier to squeeze and hold in my opinion. And with their extra weight/firmness they feel almost like the stuffy version of a weighted blanket to me! No hate whatsoever to op ofc, just thought id share my thoughts bc i honestly thought everyone felt this way lol
one thing ive noticed about newer stuffed animals is theyre more rigid. like a lot of the stuffed animals i had as a kid were floppy and easy to pose and play with, but a lot of stuffed animals now are like stiff and overstuffed so they retain a specific shape. and a lot of them feel like theyre just for display, not for a child to actually interact with. like even beanie boos vs beanie babies (no hate to beanie boos) beanie babies were floppy and beanie boos have their shape and theyre not gna move

all your stuffed animals love you. they're not sad if they're in a box, or on the floor, or not held/played with as much. they understand. they know that you might need another stuffie more, or that you don't have enough space. they're just happy to be with you, and if you ever give them away, they'll be happy there too. stuffies are for comfort. they understand. they love you too. it's okay.
