"Why didn't you call me?
"I didn't want to worry you..."
"What worries me is that you think I wouldn't drop everything in a heartbeat to help you, sweetie." Sylus' warm palm caressed your cheek before gripping your face between his fingers. With his gentle yet stern hold on your face, he carefully inspected every inch of your skin. The most damage he managed to find consisted of the cut that embedded itself in your brow with the swelling of your soon to be black eye to compliment it. You flinch and he takes careful note of how much pressure he should apply when taking care of your wounds.
It was nothing bad. A low-level wanderer had caught you off guard during your routine stroll around the area surrounding the man's safehouse in the N109 zone. You knew you should have told Sylus where you were going, but you simply assumed Mephisto would keep his watchful eye on you as he usually does. Besides, you had taken that path more than a hundred times (that was an exaggeration) and there was never a wanderer in sight, other than today of course.
"It's really nothing, Sy." The nickname flows of your tongue with a small sigh. It always ignited something within him, keeping Sylus on the edge of his seat. Your voice was the purest melody, blessing his ears like any angel would. His steady hands pulled your face close, slightly chapped lips brushing against yours before he rested cheek against yours. Although he seemed big and bad, Sylus was utterly wrapped around your fingers. He shook his head, and you swore his frown deepened just the slightest bit.
"It's not nothing... You are injured." He spoke sternly, "And you didn't think to come to me first." Your eyes widened and face fell into a pitiful frown. You trusted Sylus, but the thought of being a burden lingered in the back of your mind. Instead, you simply nodded and swallowed back your words as those crimson eyes stared deep into your eyes. You would never live down this feeling, the guilt that would bare its claws deep into your back. But for now, you shook the feeling away and let the older man tend to your stinging wounds, relishing in the warmth of his palms and the depth of his gruff voice.

MC Twin AU - SYLUS'S Darling
"Pretty Dragon, do you have a name?"
". . . Does it matter?"
"Well, since I'm officially a damsel in distress, I should at least know what my cager's name is no? It's only fair!"
The young woman gives the dragon a dopey smile, raising her legs up so she could place her chin on it as she watched him. The dragon's tail idly swayed behind him, until a somewhat familiar word left his lips. "Stayrus."
"Stayrus...." She murmured, allowing the familiar words to fill her mind for the first time in years. She hadn't heard that name since █████. "Stayrus....I like it." A soft sigh leaves her lips and she stretches her legs out. "It's a bit hard to pronounce though. Can I call you a nickname?"
The dragon rises, and his unseen wings stir up gusts around him. "Call me whatever you want. But don't expect me to respond."
A grin grew on her lips. "In that case, Sylus, can I play with the silver tiara I spotted back there?"
"If that's what you wish."
The next time you woke up, you found yourself on a bed.
A very, very, comfortable bed.
You blink up at the ceiling, confusion clouding your mind. What happened? You remember being kidnapped, you remember finding out that it was Luke and Kieran who had kidnapped you, you met Sylus.
. . . . Wait.
You met Sylus.
Meaning. . . . . . .you were currently at Onychinus's base.
You sit up in a panic, wide eyes glancing around the room. Black walls, dark bedsheets, a soft light shining down on you, was that a gun on your bedside???
Yep. This was definitely Sylus's room.
Holy shit, how did this happen?
You hum and place your hand underneath your chin in thought. Ok, so, what even happened before all this? You were on your way home, you wanted to get a little midnight snack, someone grabbed your arm in a flash, and boom you were kidnapped.
What in the cliche gods was this!?
You groan and fall back on the bed. Why you? Did Sylus kidnapping you mean you had an Aether Core in your heart? That didn't make any sense though, you didn't have a heart condition. . . . .last time you checked at least.
Wait. Didn't he say something before you passed out again?
"Hello, darling. I'm glad to see you again."
A giggle starts to bubble out of your lips, and a dopey smile forms on your face. He called you darling! He called you darling!!!
. . . Why? He said you had met before, when? You would have remembered meeting a stunning man like him before.
So . . . . what in the world was going on?
"Hello, darling."
"Holy FUCK-" you yelp, snapping your eyes open to sit up straight again, turning your head to stare at the white haired man who was leaning against the door. Ok, so you had a few options. Option 1, act scared and hope he leaves. Option 2, act like MC.
. . . . Option 2 was a bad idea, so never mind.
Option 3! . . . . Flirt with him.
Yes yes, option 3 also wasn't a good idea, but honestly, maybe it was because you knew so much about Sylus, that the scare factor has worn off the moment you realized where you were. Also, he couldn't even kill you because you were MC's twin! Yay sibling perks!
So you make a smirk grow on your face and give Sylus a wink. "Hello, handsome kidnapper~"

MC Twin AU - SYLUS'S Darling
You couldn't believe it, but you had been kidnapped.
You weren't even scared. Okay, that was a lie. You were terrified, but you were also really annoyed.
And flattered.
Well, being kidnapped means you must mean a lot to someone, right? So much that your kidnapper would think to make that person panic, they would kidnap you. How sweet!
But still so annoying. Why you?! What could your kidnapper possibly gain from kidnapping you?
You weren't rich, nor did you have a rich friend or partner. Information? Sure, you knew this world was a video game, but that didn't mean you knew everything.
You pause your thoughts as your kidnapper removes the blindfold they had placed around your eyes. You blink, then deadpan. "You have got to be kidding me."
You couldn't believe it. Of all the people to have kidnapped you, it had to be the twins!?
Meaning, it had to be the boss of Onychinus!??
You stare at the twins in masks before you, then let out a long sigh. Now that you knew who had kidnapped you, you just couldn't find it within yourself to be scared at all. "Quick question." You begin, shifting in your chair and cocking your head to the side. "Did you mean to kidnap me, or did you mean to kidnap MC?"
The twins look at each other. " . . . . Are you not MC?" one of them, who you assume is Luke, asked, and a loud groan leaves you. "God. Damm it!"
Sometimes, you really hated the fact that you and the MC were identical twins, because sometimes you ended up in shitty situations like these!
Unbelievable! Truly unbelievable!
"Hey, are you not MC?"
"But she looks just likes her . . . . does that mean MC has a twin or something?"
"Why wouldn't the Boss Man tell us then?"
"Idiot, what if MC didn't tell Boss Man that she had a twin? So how would he know?"
"But why wouldn't she tell him about her twin?"
"Why would she tell him about her twin?"
"But why wouldn't she?"
"But why would she?"
What were you witnessing? Did they act like this in game? What the fuck was going on?
You couldn't help but watch with morbid fascination as the twins continued to argue back and forth with each other. Did all twins do this? Did you and MC do this? You probably did, but is this what it was like to experience it?
The three of you freeze as the door opens, and you watch a very familiar, very attractive man walk in. Deep red eyes, beautiful white hair, it was Sylus in the flesh, alright.
Ok [Name], breathe in, and breathe out. Sure, the man who made you actually focus on the game is before you. Sure, the man whose myth you sobbed over is breathing the same air as you. And sure, the man you wasted hours upon hours grinding to get all his cards is now walking towards you, but that didn't matter.
All that mattered was getting out of this place alive.
Because you weren't MC, who had half of his heart. You were [Name]. a simp who could probably die if you weren't careful. And quite frankly, even dying can be expensive.
Damm this shitty economy. You couldn't wait for Philos.
You shift in your chair as Sylus stops in front of you, his red gaze pinning you down. ". . . You're not MC," he murmurs, a smile forming on his lips.
You blink. "Holy shit you can tell."
"Wait, so MC actually has a twin?"
"Huh, so we aren't the only twins here anymore!"
"How cool is that?"
A dark chuckle leaves Sylus's lips, and he leans down to grasp your chin, bringing your face closer to his. "You look like her," he continues, his thumb rubbing your chin, "But there's a tiny little mole underneath your eye. Right . . . . there."
You could only stare up at Sylus with slightly wide eyes, trying to shove down the simping part of you. No! This was a serious moment! Down girl! Down! "What . . . . what are you - wait, who even are you!?"
He merely laughs. "Hello, darling. I'm glad to see you again."
You pause. What? What did he mean by that?
See you again?? Had the two of you met before?? The fuck??

Sylus was always a bit clingy. Even before you two officially started dating he had always been more than enthusiastic to have you by his side. But now that you were official, his need to have you by his side was constant.

You were sitting at your desk finishing some work when your phone buzzed. Checking the caller ID you saw that it was none other than your boyfriend, Sylus.
“Shouldn’t you be asleep right now? It’s too early for you to be getting into trouble.” You teased.
“You always seem to think I’m up to no good kitten. Have you ever thought that I might be calling because I miss you?” He taunts back.
“Still, you’re usually in bed by now. Don’t you think it’s a bit late to be missing me?” You say while putting away some folders.
“I could say the same about you. I thought we agreed on fixing your sleep schedule, no more work or coffee after 8 pm. And if I’m guessing I’d have to say you’ve broken both those rules by now. ”
You eye the empty mug on your desk then hop up out of your seat to look out the window.
“Have you been sending Mephisto to spy on me again? And don’t turn this around on me, we were talking about you!”
Sylus chuckles, “Don’t worry sweetie, I haven’t been spying much, I just know you too well.”
You roll your eyes silently. “Anyway back to what I was saying, why are you awake?”
Silence fills the room for a moment before Sylus quietly mumbles, “I can’t sleep… without you.”
You softened at his words, but quickly regained composure as you knew where this was heading. “Sy, you know I cant-“
“Please come over kitten, I miss you.” He pleaded into the phone.
“I have work tomorrow! I can’t miss it and you know that.” You scolded.
“Come on sweetie, just tonight? I promise I’ll make it worth your while.” You could practically see the smirk he had on his face.
While the thought of having Sylus hold and caress you in all sorts of place excited you, you had a special mission tomorrow and Captain Jenna would surely have your head if you called off work again.
“I’m sorry Sy, you know I’d love to but this mission is really important and-“
“How much?”
Confused you questioned, “What?”
“How much kitten? I’ll pay anything to get over here and by my side tonight.” He was on the edge now. “We don’t have to do anything, all I want is to hold you close next to me and I’ll pay any amount of money to make that happen.”
“You know I’m not some thing you can rent whenever you please right? I have my own schedule too!” You reproached, slightly offended at his offer to “buy” your time.
He sighed, “I’m sorry Sweetie, I only meant that I’d do absolutely anything to hold you in my arms for a few hours.”
Feeling guilty for your small outburst you apologized, “Of course, I’m sorry. But I just can’t make it tonight Sy…”
“Not even if I won you all those plushies you wanted from the claw machine?”
“Not even if you won me all those plushies” you laughed
Another defeated sigh could be heard through the other side. “Alright alright. Could you at least grant me the pleasure of staying on the phone until I fall asleep though?”
You chuckled lightly, “Of course Sylus.”
Soft Sylus HCs pt.2
Soft Sylus who spends much more time than necessary getting ready in front of the mirror on days he knows he’ll see you because he always wants to look his best for you.
Soft Sylus who encourages Luke and Keiran to find ways to constantly set you two up together.
Soft Sylus who brings you a gift everytime he meets up with you, (gift giving is his #1 love language I swear) weather it be flowers, small items of jewelry, or even just snacks you mentioned liking.
Soft Sylus who threatens anyone who dares to make you upset. Boss being too hard on you? Suddenly they’ve resigned. Rando on the street catcalls you? You can be sure they won’t ever do that again…
Soft Sylus who will hold you on his lap and rock you back and forth when you’re upset. He’ll also try singing to you to make you feel better which usually results in you laughing into his chest.
Soft Sylus whose favorite place to be is by your side. He doesn’t care where he is as long as you’re there with him. Having you close to him immediately lifts his mood and makes him smile.
Soft Sylus who always gets really fidgety and nervous whenever you’re out on long missions and he can’t see or talk to you for long periods of time.
Soft Sylus who NEVER lets you pay when you go out with him. Going out to eat, shopping, anything. He won’t even listen to you when you say you can pay, he doesn’t bother himself with such trivial matters.
Soft Sylus who will casually put his arm around your waist, or cooly interlock your fingers but is 100% fangirling and freaking out in his head over it.
Soft Sylus who gives you the best princess treatment out of all of the boys ever. You’re his girl and he’s gonna treat you like it.
Bonus:
Soft Sylus who comes home smiling after an evening out with you and gives Luke and Kieran a generous bonus for being such great wingmen.

“And the winning bid goes to Mister Sylus!” The screen announces. I turn my head away from my phone to face Sylus.
“Are you really just going to bid all night?” I ask.
“Well it’s not like I’ve got anything better to do now, kitten.” He says, standing up and tilting his head back.
“Why are you even here? Don’t you have business to attend to?” You say, also making your way off the couch.
“You didn’t book the entire hotel. I had the money and there was a vacant room.” He shrugs, avoiding your question.
You roll your eyes and make your way back to the couch to continue scrolling on your phone. Sylus does the same and rests his head on the back of the couch, slightly groaning at the stretch it gives his neck.
Noticing this you inquire, “Why do you keep stretching your neck? Do you have back problems or something?”
Sylus stands up and makes his way towards you, placing his hand on your head and tilting it down lightly. “Try leaving your head like this for hours and see how you feel afterwards kitten.”
You move his hand from your head and look up at him. “I never realized looking down at so many people would be such a problem for you. Poor thing.” You sarcastically reply, rolling your eyes at him.
Sylus doesn’t reply and instead retreats back to his seat on the couch where he continues to rub his neck.
“Ughh” he groans, rolling his head back and forth.
“Are you just gonna sit there and moan? Why don’t you take you millions to a massage chair.” You tease.
“That’s a great idea kitten, why don’t you come over here and rub my neck for me?” He smirks.
“I meant a real masseuse Sylus.” You say rolling your eyes at him.
“But you’re right here, why go through the hassle? Come on sweetie,” he pats his shoulder, “just give me a little massage, I’ll even do you afterwards if you’d like.”
Giving in to his teasing you get up and stand behind him. “Fine. But you can’t sue me if I break your neck or something…” you begin gently working your fingers on his scalp.
“Oh sweetie” he shivers. “I’d love to see you try.”
Pressing your fingers harder against his neck to really knead into his muscles, you find it harder to reach his shoulders through his sweater.
Taking note of this Sylus asks, “Having trouble sweetie? I can remove this if you’d like.” He motions to his sweater.
“N-no! It’s alright I can manage…” you mumble, flustered at his obvious flirting.
“I insist, after all what kind of masseuse would you be if you couldn’t even manage to get my shoulders?” And with that he swiftly removes the grey sweater, showing off his bare torso entirely to you.
“You’re so irritating sometimes…” you whisper, running your hands along his bare shoulders.
He doesn’t reply, instead letting out a low moan at your touch.
“Ohh right there sweetie.”
The sounds send shivers down your spine and you decide that you’d like to hear more of those sweet sounds from him.
You’re tracing your hand down his chest when all of a sudden he grabs your wrist.
“And what do you think you’re doing sweetie?”
“Nothing! I was just going to massage-“
You’re quickly cut off by him flipping you over the couch and pinning you down.
“Really, that’s the story you’re going for? If you wanted to feel me up you could’ve just asked.” He teased, grabbing your hand and running along his chest.
“What! No I- you’re the one who wanted me to massage you in the first place!” You accuse, pointing at him.
“Hmm… This is true, but I’m not the one who got carried away with my wandering touches.” He growls into your ear.
Blushing furiously, you turn your head to the side so he won’t be able to see your face. “Ok ok! Just let me up so I can finish your massage now!”
He grabs your chin and turns your face to his.
“Oh no kitten, it’s your turn now.”
