I'm so bitter that we're not getting that Amelia-One season

This is a little old, but might as well post

I was rereading Septimus Heap, and . . . man, I forgot how much I love this series.

(And also how much I love Septimus.)

This is a fascinating analysis, and it also may have boosted my level of relating to Adrien from a 7/10 up to an 11/10. I'd like to add that I think the fact that Marinette won't press him to take off his mask is actually a good thing, despite the fact that this analysis leans toward it being a problem that needs to be overcome--it allows Adrien to learn to trust her at his own pace (which I believe will happen eventually), instead of being forced into a rather terrifying leap of faith before he's ready. Speaking from experience, a friend who just accepts whatever you show them as the truth tends to be far easier to be honest with than a friend who's constantly questioning your lies. I'd also argue that Adrien's lying isn't deliberate, it's instinctive. It's not that he enjoys lying, it just feels safe and easy for him. Still, this the best ML analysis I've read in a while, and it's absolutely spot-on.

I was reading an ML fic where Ladybug mentioned being scared whenever she saw butterflies in the park, and I just couldn't get this image out of my head:

Cliffhangers are great, but I hope we get some post-reveal discussions in the next (chronological) episode. If we don't, well, I guess I'll just have to write some myself!

I was rewatching Voltron and I watched the scene where Pidge rambles to Allura about sweating a lot, and it hit me:

I'm an asexual Plance shipper and a fan of Miraculous Ladybug. The pundit should declare me the best punster on the planet, but all my puns are either punbearable or so punassuming that no one even notices them.

I've been drafting a Plance animatic for . . . months . . . and my drawing style has gone through at least three iterations, plus the sketchy first draft:

Pidge: If supervillains planned their evil schemes around your convenience, they’d never get anything done. That’s why they don’t do it. I’m sure they’ve considered it, of course, it just didn’t fit in with their schedule.

(they run off into the distance, still bickering and bantering, their voices fading as they get further away)

Lance: Well, duh, but I think one friendly exception isn’t much to ask.

Pidge: From a supervillain?

Lance: Fair, but I’m still bitter. Two months of begging!

Pidge: Begging and blackmailing. Don’t forget blackmailing.

Lance: Of course! What’s love without a little blackmail?

I feel like we can all agree that Pidge would be the one trying to find her paladin armour for something, and Lance would be the one standing in the background whining "but you promised you'd have dinner with me! I had candles and music planned and everything! How could you do this to me?"

You Found Rover!

Since I haven't been feeling very inspired in the Plance art area lately, I decided to post my first Plance drawing, which I did back when all I could do in terms of digital art was trace screenshots. Oh, and I used fancy blending modes instead of figuring out the colors myself.

Objectively, it probably looks better than anything I drew myself, but I still don't like it because it doesn't look like MY art, it just looks likes random Plance art. Oh well, here we go.

Aaaand I'm back to writing short fluffy pieces. Oh well. I have an eight-chapter fic full of pining planned, so um, give me some credit?

This. This is why I love Plance and the garden and gardeners and everything about this ship. Because how many ships can you think of where the fans would say, “Yeah, flirting is great, but I prefer it when the characters respect each other and their friendship”?

I personally don't see the appeal of dances, but I gotta admit, dancing has some great potential for cool shots.

I think I can now add 'hard light' to my list of blending modes I can use comfortably. (Before this, the only entries on that list were multiply, color dodge, and luminosity. I'm not good with blending modes, ok?)

I think I forgot to post this when I finished it, so here you go.

I drew some angsty Adrien Agreste and couldn't decide which version I prefered, so I'll just post both.

I realized halfway through writing this that parts of it are incredibly cheesy. Then I realized that pretty much everything I've posted is cheesy. Then I decided that I'm okay with that, because I need some cheesiness in my life. So here, have some cheesy fluff (and also some angst)!
