A little back posting because I definitely only found this event today \(^.^)/

To the world it was supposed to be a beautiful, cloudy Tuesday morning. To Eddie and Christopher, it was something completely different. The atmosphere felt heavy, and like gravity was pushing down on their lungs. Christopher had lost something, and it was so tangible that Eddie felt the melancholy of the moment.

They had both lost something, and Eddie, for the life of him, couldn't remember anything that he used to find comfort in. The way that Buck’s smile would crinkle in the corners of his eyes, and how light his laugh sounded. Most of the time it could be mistaken for a chorus flying on the wings of the Southeastern wind.

No matter how many people told him it was the wrong choice, he hadn’t left El Paso. He never went back to Los Angeles to rejoin the 118 firehouse. Now, it was too late, and everyone moved on. Everyone. Including.

Baby blue eyes that could smash any wall that Eddie had ever dreamed to build around his heart. But ten years later.

Ten years later, he was starting to lose touch.

Those crows feet around Buck’s eyes were softening out into a bleary view. His voice starting to fade into ether where Eddie knew he couldn’t follow. Some days Eddie had to pinch himself to remember that his name was Evan Buckley, not just the frat boy nickname he picked to be called. And Christopher. He knew that something was wrong.

They had moved during such a turbulent time that Eddie knew that Chris felt the empty space that’s only coincidentally Buck-shaped. A good parent, would make sure Buck doesn’t stay forgotten in his son’s mind—or a figment of his imagination. A heartbroken man, however, will continue to live in the fantasy his son created where they never lost their other half.

It was too late to call. Or, to try and re-forge the bonds he already threw away. 

He put his phone down, and tried to close his eyes. It’s better to just sleep away the pain before he could drown in it.

Hey so I try my hardest to avoid what ever is going on with the Flaming Homosexuals ( Eddie and Bucky ) but for my sake of understanding as I scroll past the posts at Mach 12, I have a couple questions:

They’re firemen, right? Do you guys call them Flaming Gays? Cause if not you’re really missing out with that one.

Which one of them is out as bisexual, and is the show still pretending the other one is straight?

This is really embarrassing but…what actually is the show’s name? Every time I’ve thought I knew the answer ( twice ) it turned out I was wrong.

This website is always going buck wild for Eddie’s. Personally I don’t get the hype.

You know I cannot get over the whole Will thing. But do you think that Buck knows what Eddie was really doing there in that moment???

Cause Eddie was literally handing Buck his heart, in the form of his son the most important thing in his life. But does Buck know that Eddie was handing him his still beating heart and telling him to be careful with it.

Or does Buck think that his just the backup. That Eddie was giving him everything he wants, the family he’s dreamed off, but with the condition that he loses the love of his life, the condition that Eddie dies. Do you think it hurts him to think that Eddie will only consider him good enough to parent Christopher if he’s gone? Or do you think it amazes him to know he’s trusted with Christopher when Eddies gone, over literally everyone else?

I just want them to talk about the Will and the shooting. Please…

I have a thought… I know we’re all pointing out how unpractical Buck’s armchair is… but what if he thinks that he only needs that one seat because he thinks he’s alone?? What if he thinks that ‘why should I get a couch if I’m the only person here?’ What if he thinks he’s gonna end up alone again so isn’t bothering with getting a couch??

Like what if he thinks he’s gonna be abandoned eventually so why build a life around people (118, Maddie, Eddie and Chris) if they are gonna leave eventually??

Like Buck, honey, you have a family and they aren’t going anywhere. The 118 aren’t gonna leave. Eddie and Christopher are definitely not going anywhere.

We know that.

But does he.

Or is he spiralling and thinking that it’s only a matter of time. So he’s getting himself use to the idea of being alone and trying to find purpose in his job, despite the fact he already has through his connections.

the transition from people needing each other to wanting each other is literally one of my greatest weaknesses that shit makes me want to walk into the sea and sit on the ocean floor for a thousand years

Real question. Do the 118 know about what happened to Buck and Christopher during the Tsunami?!!?!

Like they must know the basics, the pier, the fire truck, them being separated.

But do they know that Buck saved other people? Do they know that he played eye spy with Christopher to cheer him up? And turned him away from the dead bodies in the water? Do they know he walked for hours trying to find Christopher? That he was injured will looking for him?

More importantly does Eddie know?!?!!

Cause we see that Eddie thinks Buck lost Chris, but doesn’t blame him. But does he know that Buck jumped into the water after Chris something that was damn near suicide?! Does he know the lengths Buck went to try and get Christopher back to him?!!

Cause we never see them discuss this or mention it?!!

And I need them to discuss this. For Eddie to see that Buck will and always has gone to the extremes for Chris. I need Eddie to realise that he made the right choice in putting Buck in his will. I just… I want them to discuss this (not just Buck and Eddie but all the 118)

You know what hurts. Rewatching the lawsuit arc. Like seriously that shit! Painful!

You know what shit I am a slut for Eddie calling Buck ‘Evan’ or even endearments in Spanish in fanfic.

I even wanna see it happen in the show more.

Like Buck has probably never heard anyone (aside from Maddie) use his name in a kind, loving way. Heaven knows his parents never did, they probably only said his name in anger, disappointment or hell even resentment.

But Eddie, he fucking used ‘Evan’ to tell him that he was the legal guardian of his son in his will. Eddie Diaz used ‘Evan’ in a way that was so important, so soft and loving when handing him the most important thing in his life, his son.

It’s just mind blowing.

You know what I find whack is that Eddie- doesn’t trust just anyone with his son-Diaz not only made his best friend, of not even a year, the legal guardian of his son should he die, but also said that ‘there was none else he’d trust with his son’.

Like what type of repressed BS is this!!

Eddie literally handed Buck his son, when he could barely trust Ana or Shannon (Christophers mother) with Chris but he trusted Buck after a few months of knowing him.

It may just be because I’ve read too many Buddie fanfics but I love sweet, soft, casual but loving intimacy between buck and Eddie.

Things like hugging, bumping shoulders, hand holding (hand squeezing), forehead touching, forehead kissing, hand kissing, etc.

Just that casual soft intimacy between two people.

hotshots xyz gets accused of homophobia because it doesn't have any canon queer characters on the show so they pull a rise of skywalker and start doing a bunch of press about an upcoming queer arc meanwhile the execs are cornering buck and eddie and going hey would you mind sharing a smooch in the back of this one scene so we can fulfill our diversity quota...

If I was Maddie I’d be so pissed that my little brother was fighting with his crush instead of looking for me when I’m literally on the verge of death.

Honestly, as a bisexual who believes in both bi buck and adhd buck, either bi buck or adhd buck conformation this season would be a win. His jealousy over Eddie and Tommy could be because he realizes he's in love with or because Eddie is the first friend he's made who doesn't make fun of his rants about certain topics he's been researching. While I prefer buddie to become cannon I like both these ideas and if one comes true that would be great. However, I think we're failing to see the bigger picture here bcause what if we didn't have to choose and they gave us both for both of my previous reasons.

Plot twist: buck continues believing he's straight and instead gets diagnosed with adhd

so ‘don’t drink the water’ was just revealed to be the title of s8 ep17 right. and a lot of people are making the connection between water and eddie’s arc in s8a, where the priest tells eddie, “you were denying yourself because you don’t feel worthy,” as eddie is trying to come to terms with his failure as a father and put on a mask (ie mustache) as a metaphorical “beard”. you know, a lot of these things that can be related to the repression of his feelings. you know, maybe towards a man. but, there’s more. don’t drink the water can refer to one of two songs - the one by the dave matthews band or tears for fears. and honestly, whichever one it is…

the tears for fears song also references a gay man in its opening (through a slur so i will not be sharing), but either way there is a connection between ‘coming out’ and ‘showing emotion’ and drinking water in a way that has been directly tied to eddie. “do not (still) drink water, but use a little wine” (and for eddies juice metaphor, id like to add that wine is fermented juice) is a biblical passage (timothy 5:23) tells the reader to consume such things for their own joy and health, so long that it’s in moderation. with eddies storyline, drinking juice in moderation represents trusting himself and going after what he wants (buck) without punishing himself. don’t drink the water can also be a kidnapping plane story, like the 1969 or 1994 movies by a certain awful person but rg being on set in kenny’s videos gives me the slightest inkling it may have something to do with a certain edmundo diaz

I was just imagining this absolutely ridiculous scenario but:

thinking of buck and Eddie time travelling back to the first day they met, like maybe a few seconds right as they lock eyes when Bobby is introducing them. so enough time to comprehend what's going on but like,,, they can't do anything about it

and Buck cuts Bobby off and goes "Eddie!!!" and Eddie's like "Buck???" and they kind of just run towards each other and crash into a hug, just squeezing like crazy and laughing.

And Buck's like holding Eddie's face in his hands and turning his head every which way like "Omg you look so young and cute" and Eddie's just laughing like "you're one to talk, you literally look like a baby" while tangling his fingers in buck's hair because it's no longer as curly as it was later because of how buck styled it and he never got to touch it before at this point

and there's a cough behind them and they let go of each other, but they're still kind of wrapped around each other and the entire crew is just staring at them like "what the fuck"

and buck is a fucking troll and gives this shit eating grin and goes "let me introduce you to Eddie Diaz, my absolute best friend and the father of the child of my heart" and he's not joking but he jsut wanted to see people's faces

before his eyes kinda go wide and he turns back to Eddie like, "wait, do you think chris remembers me?" since apparently they've gone back in time???? no one else in the room seems like they did, so did anyone else??? what if chris looks at him like a stranger after he's been co-parenting him for years?

Eddie just shrugs, unbothered, and goes, "I have no clue but even if he doesn't, I'm sure he'll love you just as much as the first time you met. you're his buck" and buck visibly takes psychic damage and nearly crumbles because he loves his little family

anyways, throughout this entire thing, everyone is just not sure what to think, because? apparently buck knows this new guy, and they've never heard of him before? and they're all over each other and they seem to have been raising a kid together at some point? what's even going on?

every time Buck or Eddie opens their mouth for the rest of the shift, it's just more lore drop. people are tryna put pieces together on how they met or what their relationship is. they deny that they ever dated when asked but Eddie, from where he's laying on buck's lap goes, "but we do get that a lot, don't we?" and buck's nodding like there's nothing strange going on

shift ends with buck automatically following Eddie to his car and when someone calls out to ask where he's going, he shouts back "we're gonna go pick up our kid!!" and then they get in the car and drive away, leaving Buck's jeep in the parking lot

Evan Buckley with his long ass legs and fine physique, dressed in white tights and ballet shoes, gracefully and solemnly dipping a ballerina during a seat-packed performance like as shown. I dunno bro, I have no clue how ballet even works but damn, what an image. imagine him dipping Eddie like that.
