Self-harm awareness day
Today is self-harm awareness day. It is a very important day for me as a former self-harmer, and when I was at my lowest I thought no one knew how I felt, but now I know better. This is a day for people to learn more about the causes of self-harm and the risks. Self-harm is no different than any other unhealthy coping mechanism like drugs, alcohol, and many others. Just because someone self-harms does not make them any different from an addict that needs help. So, if you are a self-harmer and If you’re not sure where to turn, call the S.A.F.E. Alternatives information line in the U.S. at 1-800-366-8288 for referrals and support for cutting and self-harm. We still need to fight for accessibility and equity for all disabled people.
Despite the ADA, equity is still out of reach.

You might see fundraising posts with thousands of notes on your dash daily and think to yourself "this person must be doing fine!"
I wish that were true. I saw a post earlier referring to people with fundraisers as "those fortunate enough to have internet clout" but unfortunately internet clout is not a currency that can buy food and other necessities. It's only a testament to how much effort that person spends desperately networking in order to make ends meet, and often not succeeding at that. These people do not have an advantage.

He's barely at 19% of his goal, as of today, December 13th, which marks 6 months since he started fundraising.

As an AFAB (still identify on the feminine part of the gender spectrum) person who got SA’d on multiple different occasions (5, 7, and 11 years old for the cases where I or the perpetrator weren’t fully clothed, there were other occasions though, but they didn’t really affect me as much) And tend to fear falling in love with people, even if I trust them: Being pregnant is scary in any case, whether you want to keep the pregnancy or not, it’s terrifying.
To any ‘pro lifers’ (more so pro-birth) or people who are confused or uneducated about pregnancy and birth:
•Pregnancy puts the person’s life at risk, and permanently affects the body even after the baby is born.
•non viable pregnancies can be mentally and physically devastating for people involved, and should be aborted for the pregnant person’s safety.
•Non viable pregnancies include: if a newborn is guaranteed to die after birth, stillborns, fetuses with severe defects, the pregnant person definitely not going to survive giving birth (such as children that are pregnant, people with severe health issues, some intersex and trans people, etc), and more
•if abortion was only allowed if the pregnancy was caused by SA/R@pe, many people who were SA’d/R@ped wouldn’t be able to get abortions anyway, because most SA/R@pe cases don’t get reported, aren’t brought to court, are deemed false by court, etc.
•There is a difference between life and personhood. Plants are alive, but don’t have personhood. A human corpse isn’t alive, but has personhood. A fetus is technically alive, but isn’t a person.
•if you think abortion is murder because a fetus has life, then farming is murder, picking mushrooms or roots is murder, taking antibiotics and getting vaccinated would be murder because bacteria and viruses are alive.
•Abortion is healthcare. An established life of a person is more important than a fetus with no personhood or consciousness.
Have some memes for your travels:
the "I believe in abortion only in extreme situations" people (especially women) truly baffle me because I genuinely consider "a human has another human growing inside of them and does not want to" to be a very extreme situation. to me that feels so deeply like an extreme emergency situation. I know this has been said before but it's incredible to me that this does not feel innately horrifying and "extreme" to everyone.

🇬🇪 Police brutality at protests in Georgia (Sakartvelo).
🇬🇪 The police are brutally cracking down protesters in Georgia (Sakartvelo). Georgians are protesting the draft of foreign agents bill (so called "russian law"), which would put their democracy at risk. In general, protests are also anti-government and against russian influence on their country. International news barely covers protests in Georgia, which allows police and government to act like this even more freely and without consequences.
When the anti "LGBT propaganda" law passed in Russia, all of you were going insane and cared. Give Georgia the same energy. If you can have sympathy for our oppressors on the basis of them being queer, you should keep the same energy for us, if not more.
If this law passes, every Georgian queer person I know is so severely fucked, myself included. If you make jokes about "being illegal in several countries" you better fucking care about the countries you're apparently illegal in, or going to be illegal in.
Make sure to spread this around. This is important.
How can I, someone outside of Georgia (the country), help fight the foreign agent bill?

Think about the resources and skills you have that you can use to help demonstrations on the ground and spread awareness on the issue. This might include your graphic design or copywriting skills, a large social media following - aid the protesters by spreading the word. Someone who’s close to my family to the point I consider him my uncle, had a heart attack 2 years ago. Thankfully his wife, who is a nurse, was there and managed to caught the signs before it started happening. Now I can spread help for people who need to see this too.

1. Let’s say it’s 7.25pm and you’re going home (alone of course) after an unusually hard day on the job.
2. You’re really tired, upset and frustrated.
3 Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to drag out into your arm and up in to your jaw. You are only about five km from the hospital nearest your home.
4. Unfortunately you don’t know if you’ll be able to make it that far.
5. You have been trained in CPR, but the guy who taught the course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself.
6. HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE? Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.
7. However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest. A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.
8. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital.
9. Tell as many other people as possible about this. It could save their lives!!
10. A cardiologist says If everyone who gets this mail kindly sends it to 10 people, you can bet that we’ll save at least one life.
11. Rather than sending jokes, please... contribute by forwarding this mail which can save a person’s life.
12. If this message comes around you... more than once… please don’t get irritated... You should instead, be happy that you have many friends who care about you & keeps reminding you how to deal with a Heart attack.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.
2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.
3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”
4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”
5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.
TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

Again like I've said before, it's okay to make mistakes, it's okay to fuck up, but what's not okay to do is sweep your fuck ups under the rug, and silence/blatantly ignore the people who call you out for it instead of just taking accountability and righting your wrongs (arguably much easier btw, especially in a situation like this).

I'm still mad about it 😭 He (luckily) has only gotten me once over some blinkies I made on blinkies cafe, which I don't personally care much about, but I DO care about other peoples stuff getting stolen :-( I'm really reeaaaalllyyy sorry that happened, especially THE SAME DAY???? That seriously super sucks
I've tried sending him in asks and I've even commented a couple times under his posts when I recognize graphics 'n whatnot that require credit to let him know (as have multiple other people?? HELLO???), but it's either ignored or deleted. At this point I think the best course of action is to just keep spreading awareness about him and block BOTH of his accounts (yes, he has two... at least that I'm aware of)
