Prompt for dc x dp crossover
Danny’s in Gotham for whatever reason be it school, work, or just for the weekend. His core by this point is fully developed and just projects calm & safety constantly cause he is constantly in a hero position back in Amity and both help him deal with people and ghosts. (Working doubly so for ghosts/ectoplasmic creatures cause they tend to need to feel it strongly for it to work on them). Anyways he comes across one of the batkids affected by the pits (Jason, Damian, Cass) who is currently very growly and violent and just yoinks them up by the back of their shirt/jacket/whatever like a disgruntled kitten.
The situation goes from a step away from violence to immediate confused and relaxed calm. Vigilante children go completely slack because WOW do they feel safe and calm right now.
Danny is too tired to notice anything other then the fact that: ghostly -> anger -> fight -> something he has to deal with
So once the area feels calm he just places whoever he grabbed gently on the ground pats their head and continues on his way. No context and by the time the bats get their heads in working order he’s already gone.
It is now a hunt to find this dude while Danny barely misses running into them by complete coincidence. He has no idea what he started and doesn’t even really remember the event cause he’s done that exact thing to calm situations down so many times in Amity that it doesn’t even register as something important to remember.
The batkids are actively pulling all the stops and just failing to find this guy. Bruce is not even involved it’s just the kids.
The reason Bruce Wayne decided to dress all the Robin’s in such bright colors (fucking traffic light) was so he didn’t lose them in the dark streets of Gotham. He knew that he scared the crap out of people by coming out of the darkness, and Dick was already a menace to society…. You couldn’t have him sneaking up on people without warning.
Bruce Wayne as a dad, but he doesn't try to reprimand his kids, he just acts like everything is his 13th reason:
"Jason, if you throw that guy off the cliff, i am also jumping off after him."
"Dick, if you don't get down from there, I will stand under the chandelier when it falls down."
"Damian, if you cut that head off, i will walk into your sword."
We need more aus and fics were Bruce somehow ends up adopting all of his kids around the same time
I could see Bruce getting Damian out of the League of Shadows as a baby and taking in everyone else as kids
This would be tough to see, because on one hand, yes, if Tim as a familiar presence calms Damian from his immediate state of fear/aggression, then that is good and preferable to safety holds and restraints.
What's bad about it is using another child as a pacifier and putting that responsibility on them when there are adults around who should have some training in traumatized kids. They live. In Gotham. It's been years, it should be in the teacher's handbooks by now.
So, maybe this could work for the first incident, but if it continued, then it's not fair or right to turn Tim into a teenage parent whose education, hobbies, and friends are being interrupted by (and the implication that they're seen as less important than) his brother's episodes.
There's a difference between looking out for your kid brother at school and being their sole support unit. It would not be a healthy environment for either boy.
If it were to get written, I could suspend disbelief for light-hearted fluff or reluctant brotherhood, but I'd really like to see it done by someone with a good grasp of real life CPP and New Jersey school policies. I'd really want to sink my teeth into the complexity of social work and student accommodations for a student in both Tim (two-school-shootings-and-counting!) and Damian's (Tiger Mom Assassin) situations.
do you guys think considering the relatively small age gap between Damian and Tim (depending on the author) that they would have been in school together? because coming from a youngest sibling who went to school with older siblings, that would be really interesting to look into.
i’m imagining Tim getting pulled out of class because Damian’s thrown a tantrum and refuses to listen to any of the teachers and they need his brother to convince him to calm down, and it actually working because Tim is the only person Damian is familiar with and so will ever listen to. Damian having no interest in making friends with civilians so he ends up sat on the end of Tim’s lunch table while Tim eats with his friends. Tim getting bullies in Damian’s class to back off, and Damian scuffing his foot on the tiles of the school halls as he waits for Tim to get out of detention so they can walk home together like usual.
considering how strained their relationship was when Damian first arrived in Gotham, putting him in an environment five days a week where suddenly Tim is his only true familiar ally and he has no choice but to accept being on friendlier terms would be really fucking interesting. suddenly Tim is his protector, and although he refuses to let that effect their home dynamic, he does have to accept that at school at least, he needs Tim to be his older brother.

Omg just got a Idea what if instead of Bruce Wayne adopting the bat kids Ra's al Ghul adopted them instead and took them underneath his wing I wonder what that would look like honestly I think it would be a really cool idea I know I’ve seen fanart and fanfiction’s of them separate being raised by him but I’m talking about them all together as a family not him just adopting one but all of them I really want to see this explored more 🥰🥰
When you’re trying to have a self deprecating moment but your brother acquaintance won’t let you.
sorry for not being as active recently college is kicking my ass.
Sometimes all you need in the moment is a hug from your dad.
(no I haven’t decided on a concrete Bruce design yet. Yes he will change in every drawing until I feel happy with how he looks.)
Every time Dick tries to have a serious conversation with Jason it gets shut down very quickly. If anyone asks the context imma just say they’re taking a small break on patrol and Jason took off his helmet to smoke.
Jason hates being reminded of his time in the warehouse, so he eliminates all connection to it, even if it takes extreme measures.
I need to stop giving extremely traumatized characters more trauma. This is from before the Bats learned about Red Hood
We are once again entering headcannon alley where everything I say goes. So basically Tim has never really been good at receiving or giving compliments to people, instead he usually just ends up listing attributes or characteristics that person has (wether it’s good or bad he’ll just point it out and in his mind it counts as a compliment.). His understanding is that to be seen is to be loved, so most of his ‘compliments’ are him calling out repeated traits or actions. For example, a compliment he might give to Jason, or maybe Damian, would be “You have a short temper.” Or “ You often solve problems with violence.”
he’s not trying to call people out or anything, he just genuinely thinks it’s a compliment to pick up on other peoples patterns and let them know that he’s noticed them.
Another compliment he might give is something extremely straightforward and obvious like “You have Blue eyes.”
anyways hope you enjoyed my little rant and my little art work! Thank you all so much for all of the love!
I feel like every time I draw my art style changes just a smidge but anyways!!! Thank y’all so much for all the love, have some Cass and Duke cause they are very underrated!
If I had a nickel for every time I drew Tim insisting that Jason is a good person I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s sad that it’s happened twice.
anyways have some de-aged Tim angst
POV: You come home after selling drugs to kids only to find a visitor waiting for you. He doesn’t seem happy.
saw someone point out that Tim wasn’t immediately jumping to become Robin, and that he had gone to Dick multiple times before deciding that he himself had to step in. I don’t think Tim blames Dick but I do think there’s a tiny bit of resentment because he doesn’t fully understand why Dick couldn’t just come back to Gotham in order to help Bruce instead of a complete stranger doing it.
Damian Wayne, because I don’t draw him enough.
POV: Some rando hit your brother on patrol and you have five seconds to come up with an excuse as to why you reacted with extreme violence.
Part 3!!! This is the finale part! As you can see Jason does feel a teeny tiny bit of guilt for what happened but he’ll probably never admit it out loud. Also I don’t think Tim’s hero worship for Jason ever truly went away, even after all the murder attempts.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 2!! I feel like every time I draw them they look different. It also doesn’t help that in the last part I forgot to add in Tim’s freckles but that’s okay we’ll just ignore that detail!
I hate canon Bruce Wayne hitting his kids so how does he discipline them WITHOUT abuse?
(where's that post about how anything can be a punishment if you frame it as one)
———————
Dick: *breaks the chandelier while swinging from it*
Bruce: *hands him a broom*
Dick: Yeah that's fair.
Bruce: Also you have to use the Batman plate at dinner.
Dick: Please no, I hate that plate.
Bruce: You should've thought about that before.
———————
Tim: *logs into the Batcomputer without permission*
Bruce: And what do you think you're doing?
Tim: I know I've been benched but I just need to—
Bruce: Sit.
Tim: *sits down*
Bruce: *puts on The Bee Movie*
Bruce: If you insist on being down here while injured, then you're gonna watch this in its entirety.
———————
Cass: *blinks*
Bruce: And you think that's an excuse?
Cass: *blinks*
Bruce: We're going for a drive and I'm picking the music.
Cass: *blinks*
Bruce: Maybe you'll take this as a lesson.
———————
Jason: *causes a crime scene*
Jason: Go ahead, punish me. I'll still be right.
Bruce: *takes out a marker*
Bruce: *draws a mustache on Jason's helmet*
Bruce: It'll wash off in three weeks.
Jason: WHAT?!
Bruce: Actions have consequences.
———————
Steph: *breaks protocol*
Bruce: Go change your cape in the car.
Steph: That's not fair!
Bruce: That's the rule.
Steph: *grumbles and puts on a cape that's a slightly different shade of purple from the rest of her suit*
———————
Duke: *sneaks in after curfew*
Bruce: *flicks the light on*
Bruce: Do you know what time it is?
Duke: I can explain—
Bruce: Yogurt. Now.
Duke: But I don't want yogurt.
Bruce: I don't care. Go eat a cup of yogurt and think about what you did.
———————
Damian: *drops his fork at dinner*
Damian: Fuck.
Bruce: *pulls out a straw*
Damian: You wouldn't.
Bruce: *takes a sip of Damian's drink*
Damian: I hate this family.
Dick, eating off the Bat-plate: You and me both.
