I’m not really good at Japanese but I’m pretty sure this is saying “eek Shigaraki!” わつ(watsu) could also mean “oh” or “wow”
I was discussing with a friend about the translation choice for The Fellowship of the Ring in French. In the first translation, the translator Francis Ledoux uses ‘communauté’ for ‘fellowship’, in the meaning of ‘a group of people united by a common goal or shared traditions’*. This is almost exactly the same definition the online Cambridge dictionary** gives for ‘fellowship’. However, ‘fellowship’ has another meaning, a little outdated, that keeps the idea of a shared goal or interest but with the added nuance of a bond of friendship formed over this goal.
And that’s where the new French translation comes in, with the title La Fraternité de l’Anneau instead of La Communauté de l’Anneau. Daniel Lauzon chose ‘fraternité’ for fellowship, meaning ‘the bond between people within a same group, working toward a same goal’*** There is an outdated and specific use for ‘fraternité’ in the context of a medieval, feudal society, to design the bond between knights who swore to protect each other in battle and always fight for the same cause. And knowing just how much Tolkien was influenced by the Middle Ages for his universe, this seemingly trivial difference of translation has me foaming at the mouth like a rabid dog. Because it means the translator, Daniel Lauzon in this case, really took the time to study and look for the exact nuance of a word to best render the idea of The Fellowship of the Ring in the translated title of the book. This is so in line with Tolkien’s love for languages and words, I am over the moon.
There is a big debate amongst French speaking Tolkien fans about old vs new translation but I am a hardcore defender of Daniel Lauzon’s translations of The Lord of the Rings because it’s the one that made me fall in love with Tolkien’s style and poetry even though it was not the original version, and that’s a feat. It’s not perfect, no translation is ever perfect, but it had this feeling of deliberate choice for each word to best render the multiple meanings of a sentence or poem. Francis Ledoux’s translation feels too dry and artificial to me, even though I love how he translated Strider by Grand-Pas, or ‘Big-Steps’

Rabbit pen - a default replacement (yet another collab with @episims ❤)
Put your hand up if you ever used this toy dog pen! 🙋♀️ No one? Yeah, thought so XD
Originally I wanted to make this a custom pen, but then we decided that the toy dog pen wouldn’t be missed, so we made a default! And also, because the animations needed to be edited, and it was easier this way! (we’re not going to create a custom verison)
The bunny comes from sims 4 (many thanks to @tvickiesims for extracting it!), but it got adjusted to the pen. It has all the original 8 color variations (4 as defaults, and 4 recolors)! The animations are not accurate (that’s not how bunnies move!), and there’s also some clipping as well, but that was the best we could do. The weirdest animations got removed though, so the bunnies don’t bark at least. The sounds also got removed, bunbun is a silent creature!
The bunny has its own pet treat, and its own food box texture. The pen also got a little facelift, featuring some hay, a chewing stick, and a wooden bunny house! (that they never use, but whatever, it’s part of the ~aesthetic~) Despite this, all the existing recolors should work fine with this default!
The toy dog-related wants (and fears) also got adjusted, so now sims roll wants and fears about the bunnies instead of the dogs! Important! The Wants file in the download shouldn’t be renamed, because it’ll stop working!
The description and interaction texts were changed and got translated to Finnish and Hungarian as well. If you wish to provide a translation to other languages, please contact Epi!
Update 08/12/22: Polish translation by @jellymeduza added!
Update 08/17/22: More translations added! Russian by @summer-choi-simblr, French by @tvickiesims, and Brazilian Portuguese by @itsyuna! Thank you all!
Update 08/18/22: Even more translations added, woo! Spanish by @nevernerdenough, and Swedish by @namelessperson98! Thank you so much!
Update 11/11/22 (cool date lol): Text got replaced in the buy a toy dog want (only the Wants file changed). Please tell us if it doesn’t work, we couldn’t test it properly!
Update 12/14/23: Portuguese translation by @logansimmingwolverine added! Thank you so much!
Mesh, texture, and font credits go to Eaxis, Freepik, Julsfels, Veranka, Eddysims, Franzillasims
Oh and it’s advisable to delete your thumbnails to see the changes in the pet selection window!
Have fun, and tell us if you find any problems! 🐇

tumblr doesn't have dates? (I don't know how to use it)
But if this isn't old, I'm begging for content from them
I was just trying to find some good Daughter!Poison Evy fanfic because my OC was made based on the best fanfic I've ever read in my life (Toxicology COUGH COUGH) and I found this, and headcanons that I hadn't seen All great indeed
(please do not say wedding and kids. let's be more creative, k?)
I'm planning to start TO TRANSLATE Servamp's manga into PT BR (Brazilian Portuguese), but I don't think I'll be able to do it alone ;w;
Does anyone have the clean manga (that is, without the texts and stuff) or would be able to help me with this part? I can translate the panels, but I have difficulties with cleaning. And when I mean cleaning, is like this:
It'd be easy if all of the problem was just to clean this kind of text, but some parts will need to redraw because cleaning the text will clean the background too, as example:
I'm REALLY interested in bringing this manga translated to Brazil, and any help is welcome! I'm mainly looking for Brazilians, but if you're not one and still want to help me, I'm open too!
You can bet that once this goes into reprint, I will be sending Oniku-san my money.
(English translation to be posted, once I review it with someone more reliable than Google Translate, with French translation to follow.)
(Twitter: @ichibosukii)
So I bought a bunch of stencils (is that the right word?) and in one of the packs was this one.
And since I don't trust google translation, I thought I would ask if anyone knew what this means?
i love translations i love the act of translation i love it so so much
This is from the Latin American Dub (Fue Todo, ¿No es Así?) The English translations are by me, sorry if they’re bad. I find it interesting that it’s slightly sadder. I might do other songs.

- In what kind of situation would you propose? “As long as I get YES for an answer, I’m willing to take the challenge and propose in any way! (unless it’s scary or if it hurts) But if I am to propose in my own style… I’ll probably just do it casually without being too stiff and formal, like usual!”
- How would you like your wedding ceremony to be? “Well~ I want a ceremony that’s wow and glamourous, yay yay and lots of fun, and with lots and lots of delicious food! ”
- Out of the five of you, who do you think is the least likely to get married? “Germany, of course! He’s just too straight-laced… eh, wait, nooo your face is too scary stop glaring at me like thatttt!!! (cry)”
- In what kind of situation would you propose? “Since it’s about two people making an important decision for their lives, I’d like to organize it properly by first making an appointment with my partner and dressing in formal clothes. The location… should be somewhere indoor, so it won’t become affected by the weather.”
- How would you like your wedding ceremony to be? “I’m not particularly picky about it, but I think it’s a good idea to have a solemn ceremony in a church.”
- Out of the five of you, who do you think is the least likely to get married? “Probably… Japan. The fact that he’s attracted to those who aren’t in the same dimension as him… tldr”
- In what kind of situation would you propose? “I have a strong yearning for a love confession under a Tree of Legend.”
- How would you like your wedding ceremony to be? “A traditional Japanese Shinto wedding ceremony in Kimono would be lovely. It’s about time I become more serious with developing technologies that will bring my bride out of the computer screen.”
- Out of the five of you, who do you think is the least likely to get married? “It would be terribly rude of me to answer such a question… I am very sorry but I cannot answer that.”
- In what kind of situation would you propose? “I think it’d be rather nice and romantic to propose on a ship, while reminiscing the glorious Age of Discovery.”
- How would you like your wedding ceremony to be? “A grand wedding ceremony full of majesty and style of the Great Britain Empire. After vowing eternal love to each other at the cathedral, I would like to hold a splendid wedding reception at the Buckingham Palace Ballroom.”
- Out of the five of you, who do you think is the least likely to get married? “He’s not one of the five guys here, but France. Because he’s naked.”
- In what kind of situation would you propose? “I want my proposal to be during Superbowl halftime or right in front of Times Square with national tv live stream, it sounds like fun and a total blast!”
- How would you like your wedding ceremony to be? “I just want it to be something cool! Maybe we can combine all the resources and technology of NASA and have a wedding on the moon?”
- Out of the five of you, who do you think is the least likely to get married? “Hmm… probably England? He becomes too obsessed with everything he does, so he can be too overbearing.”
Sooo, this is a strip Himaruya made for a dounjinshi anthology back in 2008, called The World of Hetalia Exhibition Commemoration Anthology: Premium (世界のヘタリア展記念アンソロジー ぷれみあむ!). It's about France and England arguing over who invented condoms, and it popped up in my mind again after coming across that post about Japan and Greece having potentially had sex (because this strip also ends with Greece). I couldn't find it anywhere and I started wondering if it was just a fever dream I had, but actually it does exist! I only found this page though, and the post I took it from said the source was Hetarchives (which is also where I read it many years ago) ... Except now I just cannot find it. I don't know where to look ;-;
Does anyone happen to have a link or something..? :/
EDIT. I forgot to mention, the strip itself was titled I Want to Press Various Things Onto You (お前に色々おしつけたい。).

Finally got to this! It’s the color pages Himaruya did for the introduction of the “Get the World” event Kitayume Anthology Hetalian! This had been posted on livejournal back in 2009, but the images were photos, so I got a copy of the book to scan. It’s a huge doujinshi by the way. Along with this, the other pages Himaruya contributed to the doujinshi were the “German Simulator” strips that were published in volume one.

Well, I’m going this way! I guess this is goodbye.
Ah, yes. There was a lot, but it was pretty fun. Next time we bump into each other, make sure to say hi! And, next time you go on a solo trip, make sure to stop by my house! I’ll show you a good time
Well then, take care of yourself until next time. Later! I look so cool parting ways!

Bien, ¡Yo voy para este lado! Supongo que esta es la despedida.
Ah, sí. Pasó demasiado, pero fue muy divertido. ¡La próxima vez que nos encontremos asegurate de saludar! Y, la próxima vez que viajes sólo ¡Asegurate de pasar por mi casa! Te daré un buen momento.
Bien pues, cuídate y hasta la próxima. ¡Nos vemos! ¡Me veo tan bien al despedirme!
